The best part of the recital was the organization. The staff went to great lengths (and spent a lot of their own time) to organize the entire weekend into 1 hour segments. The participants signed up or were assigned to specific blocks of time. We arrived at 11:15am and were leaving at 12:30pm. No sitting through 3 hours of routines to see my daughter's 60 second performance. I LOVED it and my daughter really enjoyed the experience. Classes here are a full hour and from what I have seen, the instructors are top-notch!

They pointed out a manatee and then we were looking at that we noticed something else in the water. They immediately grabbed a net and set up an aquarium so that we could look up close at a bristle worm. They let our daughter "fish" for plankton, and then helped her look at what she caught through a microscope. By this time the barge had filled with a lot more people but one staff stayed with us and showed us everything on the back of the barge, plus showed us pictures of the octopus they had found. It was great learning about the sea life by people who really care.
