A friend of mine knew about my plight and found a Groupon that was offering makeup lessons at Blush Lounge. I immediately jumped at the opportunity and made an appointment for later in the week. The building that Blush Lounge resides in is an old warehouse in Wynwood and it was a bit confusing to get inside. Another person arrived for the class at the same time that I did and we both didn't know how to get inside the building because the intercom system did not seem to work. We knocked several times, but no one came to the door. I eventually called the number provided and that is when I spoke to someone and they let us in. We found the room for the class and it looked like a room for photo shoots. Half of the room was set up for modeling and the other half had mirrors and chairs for makeup. Our teacher introduced herself and asked us what type of makeup tricks we wanted to learn. It was unanimous that we all wanted to learn the smoky eye. The teacher did one eye, and we did the other eye on our own. The instructor was very nice and would assist us with any questions we asked. She also gave us tips on what type of makeup style would go well with our facial features. The class went really well and my eyes came out great! I feel much more confident about doing a smoky eye on my own for a night out on the town. I would recommend anyone to visit Blush Lounge if you are interested in learning how to do your makeup or do your makeup for a special occasion.

Ashlee encourages you to listen to the music at home and gives you ideas and tips for creating a fun musical experience outside of class. Since we've had our little girl enrolled she's expressing herself musically. She dances, claps and wiggles away whenever she hears a tune. I picked up a toy drum and piano that regularly take a beating. It's amazing to see her grow! I wish the cost was a bit less. It seems that all children's classes are expensive, whether it's this one, Gymboree, My Gym etc. However, given the impact it's had on our family I do plan on registering for another series. It's worth it. We love this place!

I highly attribute her advanced development to this class, it is a great stimulation source for kids. My younger child (who doesn't have an extra chromosome) is learning a lot from it as well and they both LOVE this class. I scheduled my appointment MONTHS in advance, only to receive a…read morecancellation notice one day before my appointment with the next available opening pushed far out. I understand emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can happen, but giving patients less than 24 hours notice after patients have already waited months is extremely frustrating and inconsiderate. What made the situation even worse was the communication. I called the number that texted me 3-4 times trying to get clarification and reschedule, and the phone kept getting picked up and hung up. I eventually had to call from a completely different number just to get someone to answer. That experience felt very unprofessional and added even more frustration to an already stressful situation. Patients arrange work schedules, transportation, childcare, and personal obligations around these appointments, so better communication and consideration would be appreciated. I am highly disappointed with the scheduling and front desk experience.
