As a former educator, I came with my patience knowing that I would be getting my hair done by a student, but I left with the promise to return again. With all hands on deck by the wonderful tag team Adriana and Ether (plus their instructor) my hair came out absolutely gorgeous. It felt so lite and clean, and looks so healthy. There wasn't an excessive use of heat and the ladies were very intentional about the products and techniques they used to treat my texture of hair. I also appreciate the instructor jumping in to help and demonstrate the best techniques for doing my textured hair as well. To top of my exercise I took advantage of the $5 facial special. $5!?! I couldn't turn down! It was very relaxing, the esthetician was very gentle, and I left with my skin glowing. I had to give 4/5 stars only because the hair service did take longer than expected, but their instructor gave great tips on efficiency and the importance of finishing a service within a timely manner leaving no coins left on the table. She has not only gained hands on extensive training in her cosmetology class but has built great friendships and supporters along the way. They have mistreated my elderly mother with dementia as well when she asked about some uneven cuts to the back of her bob. We were told, if you don't like it you can come back for someone else to fix it. (Not just fix it now during her appointment.) I advocated for my cut and educator confirmed. I signed the paperwork. The student refused to do what the educator said and was short with me on multiple occasions though I had never met her. Despite me then asking nicely to respectfully please do as we agreed on with the educator, she refused. I asked to speak to the educator again if we can discuss this. It was the fifth time this had come up but she kept pushing it off and was upset she had to do it at the end and learn the technique. The haircut itself was exceptionally slow and took like 2.5H. What in the world?! Their quality has gone down terribly and they don't care whatsoever for their customers.

MAC gave me more than just an education, it was my second home. Through support from faculty and peers, I've learned academically and musically. I graduated from MAC in 2021, and I am eternally grateful to have been part of the MAC family.
