I was a student there and I had a terrible experience with the skin care class because of the unqualified instructor Maria Sanabria. There was no professional training, the instructor did not speak proper Spanish or English, her appearance was sloppy and unprofessional. The instructor did not follow sanitary procedures before doing any demonstration and never wash her hands. I could write a novel about the terrible experience I had, but I hope the education department looks into every complaint and do something about it. I do not recommend for any professional school to hire Mrs. Sanabria.

I can tell you so far, I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Sure nothing is perfect but coming from a known cosmetology school before (Paul Mitchell) and not having the same experience I can tell you the school name means nothing! What matters is your environment. That you have people who truly care to see you succeed, professors who are skilled and knowledgeable and an administration who is invested in helping you reach your goals. This school is all of that. I have had 2 teachers in nails who were AMAZING! Ariane and Yaileen. My current facials instructor, Onelkis is AMAZING as well! She knows sooo much in her field and is a really GREAT teacher. Beauty school is what you make of it.... if you go in with the mindset of squeezing out all the knowledge of your instructors while there, are not lazy and take all the clients you can get- YOU WILL LEARN! Take pictures of your work while there and start practicing putting yourself out there! You will succeed and do great! I will say this school due to the area is mostly Spanish speakers. This was not a problem for me as I spoke Spanish but my books and exams were in English , being they know that is my 1st language! Learning has not been a problem. Don't be shied away thinking they only speak Spanish and are not in the know of the latest beauty trends bc they are! In fact, I dare say most work here is even BETTER than the standard beauty school. Cost of this school is also alot less expensive than most other beauty schools! (You should check out my student loans for Paul Mitchell the School Miami !!) I decided not to go back there because I genuinely wanted to learn and become master of my field. They didn't have the programs I specifically was looking for. Plus I had a terrible experience with the school's whole high school behavior BS from instructors, administrators and students...just terrible. I get to the address he gave me and the director lady tells me he is not there that she thought he would be in another campus giving interviews. She told me to wait since I was 15 minutes early for my interview and said maybe he's on his way as she looked at me up and down with snobby look on her face. Which was enough for me to have gotten my things and left at that moment. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. No sign of this guy Eduardo I believe. I might have blocked his name from my mind not sure. So since nothing was happening. I called the other location myself and asked for him. They didn't know where he was so i left a message with the receptionist from Hialeah campus. I tried calling him directly and no answer and no reply. I tried texting him and no answer and no reply. I ended up waiting around in total of 45 minutes and left. I was quite upset that I cancelled some appointments for a man that had no concept of being professional. I gave them two days to respond to me and never heard from them again. This Eduardo character never called me to apologize or to reschedule or to anything. So damn rude. And good riddance cuz I could never work for someone like that. Disgusting!!! Unprofessional i am in a school environment? What are you teaching your students? I can't even imagine what kind of example you would be to them with that kind of behavior right off the bat. I have to say they missed an excellent opportunity of having someone with my expertise my professionalism and my resume working at their school. I know about customer service and how to treat others in a professional manner. The work is professional and detailed. The second time, I went in for a fill and to shorten the length, and again the student who worked with me did an exceptional job. Every student I've worked with has been talented, focused, and so receptive to guidance. Karla, the instructor, is absolutely incredible!! she works closely with the girls, teaches with so much patience and skill, and you can tell she truly prepares them to do amazing nails once they graduate. She belittled me in front of other students, made disrespectful comments behind my back, and created a toxic learning environment. This is not the kind of treatment any student paying for their education should ever have to deal with! In fact, the same instructor is now regularly promoted by the school, which is deeply frustrating considering how poorly she treats students. Also spending almost $3000 for the program, they're supposed to give you professional tools, they give you tools that are less than $20 and they end up breaking within the first couple days of using in class. It is ridiculous... If you're considering enrolling here, strongly do your research.

This is a small school, which is good because you get more hands on practice on the machines. The instructor for Electrology and Laser is Ms. Petrane Reddick. She is highly knowledgable and passionate about the beauty industry. She actually wants to see her students succeed and helps each one of us by giving us one-on-one time to go over the learning material or tests if we need her to. Her calm and easy-going personality make this fast paced course go smoothly. So, this course enrolls students on a rolling basis, we have beginner and advanced level students. What I am amazed mostly about Ms. P is that she can teach the advanced students and in the same sentence she will expand on the theories and content so that beginner students can understand. I'm proud to say I was taught by Ms. P and will refer all future students wherever she teaches in her future.

Her teachers and administration have been amazing, the teamwork the teacher brings to the students and how she keeps them engaged is wonderful. She has not only gained hands on extensive training in her cosmetology class but has built great friendships and supporters along the way.
