Lessons are very affordable. Jennifer is great. She is patient, gracious, clearly loves dancing, supportive with encouragement and explains posture, balance, steps, and more. She is particularly adept at teaching men how to lead. She makes dancing easy. Earlier I learned salsa, and swing. Tonight I enjoyed fox trot while listening to Frank Sinatra. The studio itself is quite large inside, clean, and nicely laid out with plenty of space around each pole, which made the class feel comfortable and not crowded. The instructor was welcoming, patient, and encouraging -- perfect for beginners. She demonstrated moves step-by-step and made sure everyone felt supported throughout the class. The vibe was fun, empowering, and beginner-friendly. I felt challenged without feeling overwhelmed. One thing to note: the class and studio are mostly Spanish-speaking. I don't speak Spanish, but it didn't take away from the experience -- the instructor still made sure I could follow along -- just something helpful for others to know.

I then followed up with a phone call to start my granddaughter in their Saturday summer program and was blessed to deal with Ruth. She helped me set up an account to pay and enroll my granddaughter and welcomed us to the Armour Dance family. This past Saturday my daughter took my granddaughter for the first class with Ms. Rachel, the teacher for that age group, and was extremely pleased with her and her manner of teaching. I was able to view some videos my daughter took, and as a previous ballet student and teacher, was extremely impressed with her teaching and her interactions with the students. Sanitary and strict by the rules I feel safe here. If your still COVID weary - and u have every right to be- they offer Zoom classes for every class in studio. Gone is the era of adjustments and personalized form but at this state we have all been working out enough to know what the hey "tuck your tailbone" means. Beautiful Merch and yoga mats available to purchase along with class packages to adjust your budget. If you get membership it has its perks. Private and semi private sessions on reformers also! They offer other workshops but check their website or app on MINDBODY. PS bring your own mat and props though they offer weights, balls and blocks other soft surface props are not offered... covid... Sergio, the owner and lead instructor, greeted me promptly when I arrived, asked me some questions about my interest and experience, and then introduced me to Melissa, another instructor that would assist him in our beginner class of six students. The one hour class was exactly what I had been looking for! Sergio and Melissa were extremely knowledgeable and patient with our group of beginners. I was especially impressed by the level of technical detail explained for both for "leads" and "follows," and the amount of practice we were able to complete during the hour that much too quickly passed. After the class, I was invited to stay for a second hour to try the intermediate class taught by Jess, another extremely capable instructor. While this class of eight students was more difficult for me, Jess was very helpful and put me at ease as I struggled. I very much enjoyed both classes, found the teachers and other students friendly and enthusiastic, and immediately purchased a pass for the month. I can't wait to return!

I registered for a hip hop class and had a nice experience. The studio does look like a little like…read morea factory since it is next to the train where there are some warehouses but once you go inside you are transported to a nice dance studio. It was a little hectic when I got there since there were several kids and teenagers coming out of class but once they were all done we were directed to the red room for the hip hop class. Keyara, the instructor, was welcoming and explained all the steps really well. She started with warm up and stretching and included some fitness components. I was expecting more dancing and Keyara delivered for the second part of the class. The class is described as hip hop fitness so it makes sense that she includes some strength movements before the actual dance. We learned a short choreography and practiced several times until we felt comfortable. I had so much fun!
