Best pole dance classes in the area. The instructors are nice, the classes are fun and the owner is the best. Just a shame they are not on ClassPass anymore -:(

Tried to book online but it wants me to buy this app to do so. Do you have to schedule through the app or can you just show up and pay for the class the day of? Tried calling as well but no one picked up.

First impressions: the room was dimly lit with lots of colored lights (like the ones used on houses during Christmas) and nicely decorated with a lounge area in the corner with a day bed and some chairs and a rug. Great place to take pictures and miscellaneous photo ops. The studio was very chilly at first, but soon after the introductions, we quickly understood why the temps were set so low... it go so hot hot HOT and by hot I mean "BOW CHICKA BOWOW!" We had so much silly, sexy fun times! We used muscles we didn't even know we had and might have even bruised a few knees and booties attempting some of the super fun twirls and whirls. They offer pole, aerial hoop, and aerial silks. The staff is all friendly and talented. During my practices I had the chance to see them work on their own personal routines and WOW! I would love to take their classes. For open (self-led) practice, you can use any of the apparatuses and they will help you take down the aerial hoops and put the poles on spin if you don't know how. I was working on a pole silks routine and had to rig my silk (they don't have pole silks) onto the pole myself. They won't give you a step ladder or anything because it's against their policy... and you know, safety. So be sure you know how to pole climb. I definitely had to learn that day lol. The only thing I don't understand is how close they do aerial hoop or aerial silk classes with the poles right there. I still have some passes left, so I'll definitely be back! And I may grab some class passes too :)

I'm back now since a few months ago and still loving the classes, the instructors are the best, I always go with Brenda but all of they are awesome. They have variety of classes and levels for everyone's need and levels. I extremely recommend Milan studio. IS THIS PLACE COVID SAFE?? The answer is ambiguous sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes you will get there and everyone has the mask on, some times is the opposite . They began taking the temperature a few weeks ago, so that's a step. I always try to stay away from the crowd and always keep my mask on and have my own mat, towels, blocks, everything that you normally will have to use. PARKING and location: Locations is pretty easy to find, is in the heart of Wynwood . Parking depends on the time of the day you go, if you go in the mornings like I do you are gonna be fine because there is parking always. In the afternoon that's another story... parking is limited due to the amount of people on the street in this area and traffic is awful because the streets are just on lane each. So plan ahead with plenty of time for parking otherwise you will be late for the class. you need a code to get in the building, they change it once in a while so you have to be sure you have the correct one. Always call before your first class to check the code.

Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. First, the location was not very inviting, tucked away in a cluster of warehouses. Once inside, we began with stretching. There were young children running around the small studio space, I'm not sure if they were related to the instructor or another participant, but this made it hard to focus. In a paid adult class, I expected a more professional, distraction-free environment. The bigger issue arose when it was time to claim a pole. I saw one available with a phone nearby, but no one was standing next to it or using it, so I assumed it had been left behind during stretching. I went to use that pole, and a woman to my left started trying to get my attention. Due to the music volume, I couldn't hear her clearly. I realized she was telling me that the phone was hers. I asked if she wanted me to pass her the phone. She instead repeated that it was also her pole, sounding annoyed. I explained that I hadn't seen anyone claiming the pole. What followed felt unnecessarily passive-aggressive. She returned to her friend and started commenting about the situation. The studio is small, so I could hear pieces of the conversation through the music. The studio also has mirrors, so it was obvious that her tone and expressions were directed at me. Then, she walked up to the instructor and spoke to her. Shortly after that, the instructor approached me and asked for my name, which made me feel singled out and put on the spot in front of the group. I hadn't done anything wrong, I followed the instructions and picked a pole that appeared to be unclaimed. For the rest of the class, this same participant clapped enthusiastically for others but noticeably refrained from doing so for me. Instead, she gave me dirty looks and made me feel excluded. The whole interaction came off as cliquish and unnecessarily hostile, which is disappointing in what should be an empowering and supportive space for women. What's most concerning is that I signed up for this class days in advance. There should have been enough poles for everyone who registered. If there's limited space or equipment, that should be made clear upfront. It's unfair to register more people than you can reasonably accommodate. This was my first experience with pole dancing, and I had hoped it would be a confidence-building and uplifting environment. Instead, I left feeling awkward and disrespected. I hope the studio can address the equipment and capacity, but most importantly, the atmosphere (making all newcomers feel welcome) so that others have a more positive first experience.

Of course pole isn't just dance/sport/fitness, it's a community-based, empowering experience that brings joy and positivity into your life and of course it's also sexy as hell. Luscious subscribes to this inclusive philosophy whole-heartedly and you feel it every time you take a class there and then the end result after you do the work is so sexy and empowering! This studio is truly awesome. Shout out to the crazy talented instructor Elizabeth, definitely take her classes if you can. It goes without saying that she is an incredible dancer but she is also patient and kind. I'm an cardio dance instructor and this was my first pole class, I woke up sore! Elizabeth is a straight up pole scientist, dropping knowledge at every turn and breaking down moves analytically so we can understand the separate pieces that lead to the final flow. You really have to experience her class physically to understand what a talented and intelligent teacher she is but I'm trying to give an idea. There's plenty of repetition and explaining so the moves can really get into your body. So basically if pole was offered as part of a master's program in university Elizabeth would be your professor! If it's your first time doing pole I suggest doing the tricky tricks class first. The studio itself is clean, spacious and beautiful. The classes don't feel overcrowded and the a/c works great :) Thanks Spinderella Fitness, I'm so glad you exist!!

This place embodies the "come as you are" attitude that makes fitness seem less daunting. "SpinDolls" come in all shapes, sizes, colors and from all walks of life. But even with all the differences, you always feel comfortable and supported. No one is judging you, but rather encouraing you on. I love knowing that I am working out with other woman who are not there to show off but to get in shape while having fun. We laugh, A LOT. Eli, the owner, has the most infectious energy I have encountered in a while. She is go, go, go all the time and always fun and friendly. She is the type of person that you look at and say "I want to be her friend!!!" She lost tons of weight herself, so she knows the struggle. Now, you are probably not reading this review to hear so much about what a great time we have (which we do) but to know if this is going to get your butt in shape. The answer is a resounding YES! Eli offers tons of different classes: Pole fitness, boot camps, Pole tricks, Zumba, twerking, Kangoo, etc. There is something for everyone. They are challenging, heart racing, sweat inducing, "make-it-all-hurt" and ultimately they will make you sore in such a fantastic way. The biggest change I have noticed in the past month is in my leg muscles and upper body strength. Still have ways to go, but I know that I will enjoy the journey.

For one thing, Nikita's experience really shone through. Nikita had stepped in as a new hire because our original instructor had left, and in our FIRST class, Nikita had choreographed 2/3rds of our dance, despite coming in with no context. He didn't know the lyrics for the song we had chosen (due to a slight language barrier), but Nikita captured the essence of the song and the drama of our love story EXPERTLY. We applaud Fred Astaire for hiring instructors who are skilled enough to step in for situations like ours and who have an instinct for dance. Additionally, Nikita was very professional. He did not waste any time with idle chit-chat or small talk during our lessons. He used all 50 minutes of our lessons to teach us the choreography, drill moves through repetition, and correct our mistakes. He was always honest with us about how we could improve, and so we feel that we really got our money's worth with Nikita. We really enjoyed our experience with Fred Astaire and we are hoping to go back in the future :)
