I visited using ClassPass feeling super intimidated. The instructor and the environment as a whole immediately felt so welcoming. All the other girls in class as well as the instructor really help you feel much more comfortable and encourage you to keep trying. While in town I came here to practice my routine. I was able to purchase a few studio passes online. The studio is tucked away in a loft style building. They offer pole, aerial hoop, and aerial silks. The staff is all friendly and talented. During my practices I had the chance to see them work on their own personal routines and WOW! I would love to take their classes. For open (self-led) practice, you can use any of the apparatuses and they will help you take down the aerial hoops and put the poles on spin if you don't know how. I was working on a pole silks routine and had to rig my silk (they don't have pole silks) onto the pole myself. They won't give you a step ladder or anything because it's against their policy... and you know, safety. So be sure you know how to pole climb. I definitely had to learn that day lol. The only thing I don't understand is how close they do aerial hoop or aerial silk classes with the poles right there. I still have some passes left, so I'll definitely be back! And I may grab some class passes too :) read more

Love Milan!!!! I started my classes at Milan back in diciembre 2019 all the way to March when covid began. I'm back now since a few months ago and still loving the classes, the instructors are the best, I always go with Brenda but all of they are awesome. They have variety of classes and levels for everyone's need and levels. I extremely recommend Milan studio. IS THIS PLACE COVID SAFE?? The answer is ambiguous sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes you will get there and everyone has the mask on, some times is the opposite . They began taking the temperature a few weeks ago, so that's a step. I always try to stay away from the crowd and always keep my mask on and have my own mat, towels, blocks, everything that you normally will have to use. PARKING and location: Locations is pretty easy to find, is in the heart of Wynwood . Parking depends on the time of the day you go, if you go in the mornings like I do you are gonna be fine because there is parking always. In the afternoon that's another story... parking is limited due to the amount of people on the street in this area and traffic is awful because the streets are just on lane each. So plan ahead with plenty of time for parking otherwise you will be late for the class. you need a code to get in the building, they change it once in a while so you have to be sure you have the correct one. I recently started attending Milan and have been training here for a little over a month now. I absolutely LOVE it. The studio is on the 4th floor of the building in the heart of Wynwood, so you get to see a beautiful sunset from the windows while you're taking evening classes. They also provide lululemon yoga mats in the studio, so you don't have to worry if you forget to bring your own mat for the warm up/stretching classes. They also have a shower which is pretty cool for those who may need it! Milan offers pole from beginners to advanced level. There's a class for everyone! Their poles also have a smaller grip than other studios I've been to, which I like cause it makes it easier to execute more tricks as you advance. They also offer flexibility classes (highly recommend this with Svetlana), lyra and hammock! So there's something for everyone. I've seen such a dramatic change in my body over the month, it's toned up a LOT since I joined! They also offer various class packages, so there's a budget made for everyone. I recommend taking advantage of their first month unlimited offer if you want to try all their different classes, cause that's the best and cheapest deal for new students. Class is always fun and empowering. The instructors and the students are all lovely. You get an immediate sense of belonging and become what the pole world calls "pole sisters". Everyone supports you, everyone helps you/spots you when you're trying to learn a new trick. No one is judging and every one is super nice! If I could give this studio 10 stars, I would. I have been @ Miami Pole going on 18 months. I can truly say the talent of the instructors is so professional & so amazing! All the instructors vary in style, some are athletic leaning & some are more performance oriented in dance & everything in between. They all are capable at the very advanced competing levels. All of them are helpful & encouraging. What I have also seen are ladies who will show up to pole classes that are beyond their capabilities as they are new to this arena of exercise-maybe they have a coupon or pass of some kind. They should be considerate of others' & the instructors' time & register for classes that they are-beginner-not assume they can show up for their 1st class of Pole Foundations or Intermediate levels! These students show no consideration for how hard & long other students have worked to progress to more advanced levels. Instructors work hard to meet the level of the students in the class-so it is challenging just enough to make us work harder. But when ladies show up & the instructor has to lower the difficulty level to match the newbie-it is inconsiderate to us all. Silvia has created a schedule that meets any person's curiosity level. She's thoughtful in mapping out 1st-beginner classes, 2nd level-Pole Foundations, 3rd-Intermediate, & lastly-advanced. All her instructors teaching @ intermediate levels have the skills to teach more advanced girls while keeping the class structured & challenging & this is b/c those of us @ the intermediate levels & beyond can keep up w/ the advanced levels. The teachers are AMAZING & they should not be negatively judged b/c the student can't perform @ the level they assumed they could just drop into a class beyond an introduction class. As a long time teacher myself, of both Pilates and physical therapy, it is hard to get everyone to love you b/c you can't please everyone. Bachelorettes and those planning parties out there, read this! WHO: This was the last event I planned for our Bachelorette weekend in Miami beach. It ended up being only 4 of us as others in our group had already left to head back home, but it was just as much fun. PRICE: We did the $40 per person rate, this didn't include any extra decorations, etc, just the class. SCHEDULING: Sylvia made scheduling this class a BREEZE. I called very last minute as we planned on doing this once we saw the weather would be bad while in town. She communicated via text when we kept playing phone tag and was willing to put together a private class for us on a Sunday. Ultimately, it was her being so flexible and polite to work with that had us go with this studio. LOCATION: The Location was GREAT. After the workout, we spent time walking around the art's district and got some drinks in the area. The studio is also beautiful and clean which made for nice photos of the class. CLASS: We did more in the class than we even expected! The instructor kept things flexible in giving us the option of doing more chair work or floor, we did a little bit of both but she saw what we were best at and catered it to that. TEACHER: Our teacher was Brittany (SP?), she was lovely. She was very clear but also patient and would pay attention to those that needed further help. As this was the first class for all of us, we didn't expect to actually get to do some of the movements that she taught us. So we got more than we bargained for! The hour flew by!
