The Pirate Park Playground was built by Superior Playgrounds who was tasked with designing a one-of-a-kind pirate theme play space to spark creative play and provide a safe place for budding buccaneers to play. The playground is made of recycled material like milk jugs and was created to be corrosion resistant so that it would always look good in this salt water coastal ecosystem. Located only 100 feet from the beach, the playground is fenced in for safety. There is a large pirate ship for older children to climb on and slide down and a smaller area for younger privateers. The crows nest with rigging looked especially fun to climb. Other playground play structures include clownfish and blue tang fish spring riders, a custom octopus playhouse, and palm tree shade. There are four triangle sail shades and poured-in-place safety surfacing to protect little knees and bottoms. Bathrooms are nearby. During my visit the playground was filled with kids and their families enjoying the nautical theme. This unique play space fosters imagination and physical movement for the youngest North Beach residents and visitors.

We called the afternoon before her party asking if there was any availability for a Saturday afternoon. Luckily there was. We had about 6 kids with us and about 20 adults. I mean, I know they do parties and offer a camp where children have an opportunity to express themselves through myriad artistic venues, but I think it would be too limiting to say that's where it ends! More than what C By Me does, is how they do it! The care and attention that every child and every family receives creates a space where children have a truly stimulating time that is safe and nurturing! At the end of the day I am just a parent on the other end of the review that you are reading. So, why take my word for it? If you are being honest, you shouldn't. You should take the time to read the other reviews as well, and see if there is enough overlapping information to create credibility. (Spoiler alert - there is!!! :-) ) For me, though, the proof is in the pudding. I have been sending my children to C By Me for years. They regularly come back with a day's worth of experiences to share (and boy can they share!!!), as well as projects they have made which they enjoy making, playing with, and are very proud of! It cost $3 to cover that length of time.

I found it extremely interesting to have seen the pictures ...of so many children that came to this school from the 1920s until the 80s! And they even had some of the original desks against the wall by the windows ...inside of the classroom, whereas the main ones in the middle were all donations. So basically I paid $3 admission with their food stamps discount to view all 3 of their tiny rooms; $1 per room hahaha! There's not much to see here, so I'm just warning you guys. They also ONLY allow field trip kids to tour the school in the mornings and then they close ...very early by 3 which made me have to make a second trip here on another day. The parking lot was completely empty with the exception of an elderly couple that pulled up ...as one of the employees escorted me to view the school building. Aside from all of this, everything that WAS on display was fairly enjoyable.

I came in with kid class for a field trip and all the host were very sweet a patient. The kids first activity was to learn on why and who decided to turn the Everglades into farms and why the canals were created. Then the kids made butter with heavy whipping cream and we got to try it with crackers. Next stop was an old school classroom where they were tough how to use a quail pen with ink. They got to write or draw on a paper with the pen and ink. They went 2 other rooms That they shared some history about the farmers and stores. After that they got water from a well. And then finally they washed clothes by hand. Overall it was pretty interesting.
