Do not get the Cram Exam Preparation in the package. I did and I am dissapointed. Not because it works or it doesn't, but rather because if you pay for it, you won't get your money back, not even as a credit towards further education. GoldCoastSchools will not refund any money! That's what happened to me. I was going to take the Cram Course but had to wait for a week. So, instead I decided to take the State Exam and passed it. Therefore, I did not need the extra expense. My advice, get the basic education, study and prepare yourself to take the State Test. Only if you fail the State Test go for the Cram Preparation Course. If not you will LOSE your money. read more

In fact, they were the ones who contacted me via numerous text messages after I was browsing their website, asking me what was the best time to schedule an appointment. I was contacted via phone and email afterwards by Tim Marcus, Marketing Coordinator to discuss the incidents in more details; he was very professional and understood everything I wrote and said to him, he admitted the school "dropped the ball" and invited me back to the school to get the entire course at no charge, he also corrected the refund discrepancies and noted what went wrong so this issues does NOT happens again in the future... I truly believe errors do happens, the great thing about being humans is the way we react and fix problems & mistakes. I'm upgrading my ratings to a 4 stars one taking in count his approach and follow up as well as my experience in the initial course taken where the Insurance Instructor: Hyman Levy was very knowledgeable and managed to have an interesting class. After I retake the courses I will reevaluate this rating and I hope it will be upgrade to a 5 stars one. I heard of Gold Coast from a few friends and family that are already in the real estate business and from the first day of class I knew I was in the right place. I had the pleasure of having Mr. Ocampo as my instructor for the 63 hour course. It could not have gone any better. He made a great deal of information make sense in the matter of four short weeks. He is very knowledgable in the business. His real life examples made it easier to understand the various topics covered. The very few times I had to contact the school I had no problem getting someone ready to provide a solution. I passed the course exam Sunday afternoon and the state exam the following Tuesday on the first attempt. Cheers to this school and what they do to prep students for a career in real estate. I've done several courses in Gold Coast Schools (Doral). I have to say the faculty is amazing. Whether I called for a simple question, to the instructor (Paolo) everyone always seems to be helpful, knowledgable and attentive. I am about to take the Real Estate state exam and I can expect to pass because of Paolo. He is funny, interesting and most importantly, he knows what he's talking about. I do have a few complaints I must mention: The bathrooms- absolutely disgusting. I had actually forgotten how nasty they were. I took a course maybe two years ago, and when I came back to campus now, it has not gotten any better. The smell, the way it looks, sinks, toilets, everything is always gross and also outdated. The chairs- extremely uncomfortable. These courses are NOT cheap and I think investing in more comfortable chairs can be rewarding and beneficial. My back hurts from sitting so many hours on them and I am not the only one who I've heard says this. These are chairs intended to be sat on for not more than a few hours. Imagine doing this for a 4+ hours every other day- unacceptable. I think the classes are too large in my opinion. A lot of us are restricted from asking too many questions/doubts because time is limited, which I can understand. This would not be a big issue if there were fewer classmates taking the courses. I also think having the staff there a little longer can help. Questions almost ALWAYS come up after the classes, and finding the administrative office closed is annoying. Other than that, I do agree that the professors are great, but I would prefer going to a smaller, more private real estate school. read more

I couldn't believe ! she humiliated 3 people in front my eyes , and she set ooo today is RED day ? are u kidding me ? she make more then one hour lunch brake and when class suppose to start she talk about peoples life's and what they do for leaving ? Some of Us need more attention and repetition , we need the teacher more focus on exercises we have in the book and explanation's supported with different metaphors to help us understand and memorize , not humiliate people what create distraction .Well I didn't past the test , ok fine I though ill take course with different Instructor , after third day with Daniel much better teacher over all , , however I discovered similarity , Friday was my lest 4 hour class which really was only 1 hour 40 min of quality information , Brake time more then one hour ,after we come back to class , he start asking people about their biography , what is this dating site ? WTF ? Students want to focus on those 600 pages book to anchor this foreign and difficult Real Estate language not talk about someone landscaping or Roofing business ! For the first time in years, I'm not happy at all with this group. They just merged with Bert Rogers. As a CAM for nearly 20 years I was disappointed that several CE questions were not consistent with the book. I contacted them regarding incorrect information on the legal update. I was directed to the CAM representative who told me to answer it incorrectly anyway. I then called again regarding another question but never received a call back. When my husband logged on to do his CE, they said he failed his initial exam. That's impossible as back in 2008, you could not move forward with the State Exam if you failed. He (who never failed a test in his life) has his passing certificate to prove he passed and that he has been a licensed CAM since 2008. They said they would fix their records. At the same time, I asked to speak to a supervisor regarding another ambiguous question on the exam and was told I needed to speak to with Ms. Laura again. Knowing I left her a previous request to call me and was ignored, I decided to write this review instead and not use them moving forward. Very disappointing that a supervisor was just too busy to care about some serious inconsistencies in their material. I'm sure this even more confusing to new CAMs in the industry. Overall Gold Coast is a great school if you are going to get your Real Estate License. Whenever I called the reps were helpful and informative. There are several course dates and times which makes it very convenient. Their course books and material as well as the online supplemental help are excellent. I have a unique perspective in that I took the pre license class 10 years ago with Keith and recently with Paulo. The online math videos (which they didn't have 10 years ago) were excellent. I am terrible at math and when I took the course the first time I didn't even attempt the math and this time thanks to these videos I got all but one math question correct. In my opinion Keith is a much better teacher than Paulo so if you have a choice, go with Keith. Keith keeps it interesting while still getting through all the material. Paulo is terrible with time management and the students suffer because of it. In every class there are always those one or two annoying disruptive classmates that take up class time asking irrelevant or very specific to them questions. Paulo needs to learn how to politely shut them down because he wasted so much time answering these questions and then rushing through crucial information or not going over it at all. This happened every single class and would waste anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half each class so it was a serious problem. The more he would answer these questions, the more those one or two people would keep asking. We did not get the highlights we needed for the state exam because of this which was just not fair to the students! Also, he loves math and I later found out he used to be a math teacher which makes perfect sense because he wasted hours and hours going over Math. It is only 10 questions on the state exam so there is no justifying the amount of time he spent on Math especially when there was so much he did not get to. I skipped the entire class he did on math and did the online videos and learned all the math in about an hour and used the extra time to study which turned out to be a much better use of my time as I did well on the exam. I wanted to take CE with gold coast online but I find all their courses to be significantly more expensive than other schools which is a shame because I wanted to stick with them. Overall Gold Coast is a very good school for anyone looking to get their real estate license. read more

I went to Gold Coast for the Real Estate Broker Pre-license course (FREC II) and broker cram. I think Gold Coast has the right structure to teach you everything that will be on the state test because the course materials are great. I took my class with Marylin and she makes the class interesting while ensuring you are extremely prepared for the class test. I later took the cram course with Rich. Rich knows his stuff but the cram is mainly focused on the real estate associate material. The broker part of the cram is supposed to be the last 2 hours of every class but ours only lasted 45 minutes at most. This entailed the teacher reading the study guide questions and answers directly from the book a fast as he could. This can be done by the student on their own at home. I don't know why they don't have separate cram courses; one for associate candidates and one for broker candidates. That way there is no waste of time for the students. I'm sure gold coast can afford to hire one extra teacher for the extra class. The class is great if you don't have the discipline to study by yourself at home. read more

I started this class online and it took me 4 months to get through 4 chapters. I finally found a week long class I could attend and thought it would be challenging to consume so much in 1 week.
