The truck driving academy was one of the best decision I ever made. The instructor Chris is…read moreamazing. I have never driving anything bigger then a small U-haul. He had me in the drivers seat the first day and within 2 weeks I was ready to take my driving test. If he can get me ready for the test he can get you there too. Because the class size is kept small you get a lot of time in the driver seat more than any other place in Miami. Some days I had the truck all to myself. Trust the process and practice, practice, practice.

I'll admit, I was a little skeptical at first when the instructor arrived a few minutes late to my…read moreson's first lesson. But she ended up making up the time during the session and to be fair, the lesson was scheduled right in the middle of rush hour (9 a.m.). From that point on, the experience was nothing but positive. The instructor was incredibly patient, encouraging, and professional--qualities that made my son feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He truly enjoyed the lessons, which is saying a lot for a brand-new driver. We purchased the three-lesson package and later added the driving exam. The prices were very reasonable compared to other schools, and the value we received was excellent. In the end, my son not only earned his certificate but also passed his driving test and got his license. I couldn't be happier with the experience and highly recommend this company. Don't waste your time shopping around--this is the one to go with.

Staff was very helpful and courteous. My son was here to take his driving test with an appointment…read morethat has been rescheduled at various locations due to inclement weather. I do have to say that there was only one test administrator and he could only do 3 people per session. He needs a lot of help and the wait was rather long just to get the test while we waited outside in the heat. Thankfully it was under the plaza overhang. Could they not have more test administrators? The line also inside for the cashier was long and we were coming up to lunch time so the 4 cashiers may drop to 2. Let's see. So 9:15 appointment till 12 noon maybe with a printed license, we are hopeful. Online appointments are a waste of time because there aren't any even with a 3 month advance scheduling. Something very fishy as if teachers are blocking time slots for their students. I just think there needs to be an expedited system.

The first two lessons for my daughter who is 15 were very good and we were quite happy. For the…read morethird lesson the instructor showed up with a faulty car, and told my daughter that despite some issues in the steering wheel, there was no reason to worry as it was "controllable". Within minutes they were on 195, on the left lane (third lesson ever for a 15 year old, what were they doing on the left?) when the car experienced more malfunctions with the windshield wipers turning on, and shortly after the car simply stopped. They were stranded on the left service lane for around an hour. The instructor called Ubers but they couldn't stop on the left. My wife went looking for them but also only checked the right lane as it is obviously where they should have been. Eventually they had to run across the highway to get the uber on the right. Yes mechanical failures may happen but what is absurd here is that the car had mechanical problems and the instructor was well aware of it *before* the lesson started. Yet he still had her on 195 on the fast lane. This entire episode was *extremely* unsafe. I asked for my money back and the school refused! I had to use the credit for another lesson (in which the report was never sent).

I took my driving test at this location back in 2021, and I still remember how upsetting the…read moreexperience was. Recently, I happened to drive by the facility, and I was surprised by how much of that stress and frustration came rushing back -- clearly, the experience left a lasting impression. At the time, I was a very capable and well-prepared driver. I had spent years driving with a permit and had put in the effort to learn and follow proper driving procedures. Still, I was failed. While no test is ever perfect, I felt the examiner was unusually rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout. There was very little communication or feedback, and the entire process felt rushed -- almost like passing someone was an inconvenience. If there was any small, debatable issue, it felt like she would choose to fail you rather than give you a fair shot. I ended up getting my license just a few weeks later, at a different location, with no problems -- which only confirmed for me that I had been ready. After my test in Miami, I looked up reviews and saw that many others had shared similar experiences with the same examiner. When that many people describe the same pattern, it's hard to ignore. I spent over $350 just to take that test and travel to Miami -- only to leave feeling disrespected and discouraged. I genuinely hope things have improved since then, and that applicants today are being treated with the fairness and professionalism they deserve.
