I took my driving test at this location back in 2021, and I still remember how upsetting the experience was. Recently, I happened to drive by the facility, and I was surprised by how much of that stress and frustration came rushing back -- clearly, the experience left a lasting impression. At the time, I was a very capable and well-prepared driver. I had spent years driving with a permit and had put in the effort to learn and follow proper driving procedures. Still, I was failed. While no test is ever perfect, I felt the examiner was unusually rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout. There was very little communication or feedback, and the entire process felt rushed -- almost like passing someone was an inconvenience. If there was any small, debatable issue, it felt like she would choose to fail you rather than give you a fair shot. I ended up getting my license just a few weeks later, at a different location, with no problems -- which only confirmed for me that I had been ready. After my test in Miami, I looked up reviews and saw that many others had shared similar experiences with the same examiner. When that many people describe the same pattern, it's hard to ignore. I spent over $350 just to take that test and travel to Miami -- only to leave feeling disrespected and discouraged. I genuinely hope things have improved since then, and that applicants today are being treated with the fairness and professionalism they deserve. read more

Really excellent service and would recommend to family and friends. Nieves, is an incredible woman, kind, funny who makes the moment less nervous, she speaks to you sincerely and is very clear in her recommendations. I just wanted to say this is my 2nd great experience with AA Auto Driving School. Both my kids tested with Nieves to get their Class E licenses and I truly appreciate her professionalism and attention to detail. 1st time in 2021 and now 2023, I came back because of her great service the last time. I have no more kids to bring to test...lol, but definitely recommend and will send anyone I know that needs the same service. With so much delay in getting appointments at the DMV, this is your best bet and we were able to walk in to pick up his license same day once he passed. 5 stars all around. read more

Horrible experience. Go somewhere else!!! First she is overpriced. Only takes cash to avoid paying taxes and fees. She charges 25% than everyone else. I figured it out afterwards. There was no car available for my son. Has to use my car. But she's supposed to be a driving school. She didn't practice with him or even give him tips. My son has been driving for two years and knows how to drive but got nervous and tipped the cone which was extremely close. Didn't knock it down. She failed him then said he couldn't test for 24 hours which was a lie and wanted him to pay again to take the test. What a scam!!! read more

My daughter had Ray as her instructor and he was extremely patient. The man has nerves of steel and had a lot of helpful tips and "tricks" to improve her driving. He was always on time and communication was good-- something that was a real problem with another driving school we tried. The school also took care of the driving test which was very convenient. The prices were reasonable and I felt they were very fair and honest. Apparently it is a family business that Ray and his sister run since their father passed away, and they are doing a great job! read more

The instructor's behavior during the evaluation was highly unprofessional and dishonest. Not only did she talk throughout the entire test, but she was also very distracting, rude, aggressive , which made me extremely anxious. Despite my best efforts, I failed the test because of a reason that was completely unfair - driving on the left side, which I don't do. It's frustrating to think that I paid $120 (cash with no receipt ) for an evaluation that was so poorly conducted and resulted in an unjust outcome. I will not come back and will not recommend this school to any of my friends or colleagues or family. read more

The owners were very kind, and patient. I took the drivers exam, along with a training course before the final test on January 16th 2021 (It was all done on the same day as well) and was very pleased with the results. The training was easy to follow, efficient, and the instructors were very sociable and friendly :) I highly recommend this Testing Center they are fast, professional, and lovable people! Thanks to them I finally got my drivers license. read more

If you need to take a driving class or test, this is the place to go!!! Nieves and Reynaldo go out of their way to give the best possible instruction. Terrible attitude from the lady, cash only, took a day off work just to find the door locked and no one answering the phone. She gave my son another appointment and couldn't stop talking back to everyone and giving attitude. Avoid at all cost!!!! read more

don't like to write negative reviews but I have to say after reading others I had the same experience the woman who works here is one of the most rude and abrasive people I've ever met. I did not put her in her place so not to embarrass my family She had no manners is extremely rude Is the service provided, yes But her personal behavior is beyond bad I works never again come here or recommend anyone to go here If you do go please do not let her speak to you anyway she wants remind her you are the costumer she will be rude so take your money somewhere else read more

Do yourself a favor and find another school. Don't waste your time and money. The lady Nieves is rude, and unprofessional. She plays at being nice at first, unless you have questions. If you do, she goes on the defensive and becomes very condescending. She'll talk bad about you to others in the office, in front of you without a care in the world. I received the wrong information when I made the appointment. Then was made to feel at fault when I got there. Her father does the 30 min class beforehand and even though he determined my daughter did well and was ready for the test, Nieves failed her because she was already upset and being snippy at me. She still charged me, though. Completely unprofessional and unethical. Beware! read more

The woman, Nieves, is the RUDEST PERSON YOU WILL EVER ENCOUNTER. Charges for services and then calls them "courtesies" Has no class, noanners, no idea of what customer service is, super condescending, if you try to defend yourself from her unbased attacks, watch out......she will make a scene call herself the victim, and then insult you in front of your own kids. Should be banned from EVER running a business, much less be in charge if testing. By the way....she charges for DMV appointments which I found out is illegal. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else but to Nieves. Never had I encountered such an unprofessional, unpleasant, and unhinged person in my life! Listen to all the reviews that have this as a common topic...all the other reviews that say she is "great"....she is probably writing herself or paying others to write for her. read more

Came early for my sons driving exam. Wanted him to practice parking and there were no empty spots except for the driving school spot. I told him pull in there, he pulled in and immediately pulled out. As we drove out, Nieves was in a school car with a client and looked over at us. I didn't think anything of it until I parked outside the place in the gravel and called to let her know we were there and ask if we could park there, but she didn't even let me speak. She told me come up here to do paperwork and I asked which office it was. She then said, "I will come back there" and hung up on me. I started to walk across the lot and ask if I was OK to park where I parked. She didn't respond and said let me come there so we don't yell across the lot (as she was yelling) and proceeded to walk up to me and say "you used my spot to practice, that costs $40". I stood there dumbfounded and responded "he pulled in and out once" she then said that people pay for the practice - she was not giving him lessons, in the absence of any open spots he used that one as No one was parked there - literally pulled in and out!!! She said if you are doing this today it will be $140, $100 for the test and $40 for using the spot. I didn't want to disappoint my son so I hesitated but he had enough sense to tell me to forget it, that this was rude and disrespectful. I just looked at her and said, thanks, we are not gonna do it. She turned around aggressively and yelled Fine! It also concerned me that with that horrible attitude she would fail my son regardless of how he truly did. Had I read reviews I never would've come to this place. This woman is rude and has absolutely no concept of customer service and respect. I was able to find another place and had a very pleasant experience and my son passed his test in spite of the nightmare we had experienced earlier that afternoon with Nieves. Would've given it a zero had that been an option. read more

Save your time and money by not taking your driver's exam here. The instructor is extremely unprofessional, lacks the ability to empathize with others, and loves to gaslight people. She will intimidate you and speak to you with horrible attitude as if to purposely upset you and psych you out during and after your exam. If you fail, she will blame it all on you and you will be out $100. I took the exam the next day at another place with RADICALLY different service and passed with a very high score. Con eso te digo todo. If you are already someone who is nervous about taking the exam or generally prefer to avoid toxic people, don't go here. read more

Nieves was absolutely fantastic. Shes passionate with what she does, is personable, and had great conversation. We went over exactly what the test would entail and finished in 15 minutes or less. read more

I recently used this place and their Florida Certified Examiner, Nieves Colmenero to complete my son's road examination. At first Ms. Colmenero was very accommodating and helpful advising the test would be taken at her facility and he would be using her car for the testing . It all sounded great and I thought what a great experience for my son having a patient and private instructor/examiner with him. Things shaped up for the worst when we were there. I noticed that Ms. Colmenero was being short and unprofessional with some test takers that she had at her facility. After filling some forms my son (16 years of age) was walked over to the car and they started the test. My son explained he barely had the opportunity to set the vehicle up and noticed the brakes weren't responsive. Point was Ms. Colmenero was short with my son and very inpatient pointing out minor issues as he was driving making him overly nervous and questioning his driving. He had his minor issues but apparently nothing to have failed the overall test, but he did. My son explained she consistently raised her voice with him causing more stress and he related that it was a negative experience. It appeared she had no patience to have examined my son that day and took out her frustrations on him, which is so very unfair. I Felt bad since what I thought the decision to use a private examiner would be a positive, but it ended up being such a negative choice. Not to mention the expense of $95 in cash. At the end she was very abrupt telling me my son needed more experience and that a re-test would consist of $85. Two days later we went to the Driver's License Bureau and passed with an almost perfect score and had the best examiner with a positive attitude. World of difference. Please avoid this place and using their examiners for any of your family. Not worth the added expense. Ms. Colmenero later texted me she had lost her mother and had issues "coping" which explains her unprofessional and irrational behavior. read more

Nieves and her father were fantastic! My father and I went and called them, asking for a last-minute appointment and were generously accepted to take our test late into the day. She was incredibly helpful through the entire process and answered any questions I had during the whole testing experience. The knowledge they both have about driving as a whole is really incredible and it shows how great this family-run business is. Amazing!!!! read more

If I could give no stars I would , Nieves is a horrible instructor and deserves to have her license revoked and never to be given back. Unprofessional and no worries at all what so ever and only requires payment in cash . Fails drivers for things that aren't even required at a regular testing site. Horrible just horrible definitely needs to be shut down and investigated. Who knows how many more she has screwed over . read more

Excelent family business!! Exceptional service and make student drivers feel safe and comfortable taking the driving test.

Very rude, and condescending. Needs to act with more empathy. Would not recommend to anyone.

This driving school is fantastic! From my first call to them, I knew they would be reliable and professional. I got a reminder call the morning of the appointment and they were right on time when we arrived. My 16 y/o daughter took a 30 minute refresher with the owner's father who has been teaching driving for over 40 years. He was very kind and reassuring. He was great with her. Then she took the test immediately thereafter with the owner who was also fantastic. A super successful experience. read more

Horrible, horrible experience. This woman should not even be allowed to call herself an instructor and should keep her uneducated opinions to herself, she must enjoy charging people an insane amount of money just to fail them, then offer a pitiful "discount". It is a corrupt business that should be closed down. If you go to any DMV in Florida you will pass and here you will get failed for profit. 0 stars. read more

I put one star, but really I want to put negative star, rude lady. Do not waste your time and money!!!

Excellent in every way. I was very impressed at how efficient this driving school was. Nieves was super nice and informative from the moment I called on the phone to inquire about their services for my daughter. Honestly I called several places but after speaking to her once and then calling others, I was excited to call back and choose them. My daughter did the 1/2hr practice prior to the actual test and the instructor step by step prepared her and reviewed what she needed to be aware of for the test. She then took the actual driving test and was able to use the guidance from the practice to do great. My suggestion is make sure your child has had sufficient practice driving prior to coming. The half hour is not intended to teach you how to drive but more to help guide you in the knowledge you need to have you pass the test. The cost included the half hour practice plus the class E driving exam. Once you pass you can go with the paperwork to the DMV to pick up your license for no additional cost. Excellent service across the board, I am so glad I chose them and would definitely recommend. read more

This is the place to go!! I came full of nerves and she lightened the mood with her jokes! Nieves and her father both take their job seriously and at the same time they give clear instructions. Fully recommend to take the drivers test here. read more

I had a great experience here and would totally recommend this place to someone whos trying to learn how to drive. My instructor knew what he was doing and has been teaching for over 50 years. I always felt safe and comfortable when driving with him. Nieves had done my exam after my lesson, she was extremely kind and encouraging throughout the entire process. After my lessons here I feel like I have more control of my vehicle and learned extremely helpful driving techniques that i didn't know before coming here. read more

My experience was a horrible nightmare that wouldn't end. The woman who runs the office and an instructor is rude and disrespectful. She talks very loud and doesn't let you get a word 90% of the time. On the website, it says take all major credit cards but when I was ready to pay by credit card they said 'CASH' only. The reason is many people who fail the road test try to dispute the charge with their credit card banks. I have to say she do a good job teaching the road rules and signs. She comes across she cares about her students but just doesn't know how to talk to people. She said she's a straightforward woman but she doesn't understand she's rude towards people. Her father works there too he's very friendly and professional. read more

The lady Nieves was very rude and unprofessional to my daughter. My daughter is very respectful and kind young teenager and the lady's manner towards her made her very nervous and scared. My daughter left the place feeling very bad even though she passed the exam. Even when someone makes a mistake, you should not patronize them during the test just because "you already said it". With rudeness who wouldn't feel nervous. Just like a drivers license examiner has to be respectful, you should be as well. No matter if you're a third party. Makes my blood boil spending $150 for my daughter in the end not feeling well. I should have read these reviews before letting my daughter come here. My daughter did have a pleasant time with the older gentleman who was polite and professional to her. I watched him in the parking lot teach her basics and she told me it was going well until she met this lady named Nieves. Avoid this place for your children. read more

This fit our needs and was available when we needed it. We just needed to have my daughter take a driving test in order to qualify for getting her license. We had intended to get her tested at the Florida DL Agency, but due to bad advice we discovered that appointments were required and were booked out for weeks at all locations. Luckily, someone told us about this agency and we were able to get in the same day and take the test, and then were able to get my daughter's license the next day as a walk up at the Miami Central DL Agency office. I didn't expect this place to teach my daughter how to drive, just confirm that she knows how to. Our experience was positive. That said, I did think it was odd that they take cash only, and I see that mentioned in several other reviews here. I also saw how others had experience not only with Nieves but with her father. When we were there, he was at his desk eating lunch and we had no interaction with him, so I have no comments there. read more

Exceptional service and people! My mom paid for the 30 min driving lesson and the driving test leading up to $150. Very much worth the money. The 30 minute driving lesson helped me get used to the car I was going to use for the test. Nieves' father was very helpful with telling me what I need to do for the test, what to do exactly and giving me some tips about driving. Afterwards, Nieves escorted me to the car that they provided for me to test in ( same model as the practice car). Nieves did my test and after she mentioned how prepared I was for the test and told me I passed without a doubt. Let me mention, I've been driving since I got my learners permit. She told me she felt safe while I was driving and that the people who she doesn't pass it's because she doesn't feel the same way because they have more of a probability to cause/get into an accident. Also adding, you wouldn't want a driving instructor to pass a kid just because of the amount of money you are paying, you want the driving instructor to pass your kid if the instructor feels safe, feels if the driver is obeying any driving laws/signs and making sure your child is safe on the streets alone. Lastly, this was such a great experience rather than going to a DMV waiting a 30-60 min line to then again wait 1 hour- 4 hours to take the driving test where the instructor is extremely inpatient. I enjoyed this family owned business very much. I would recommend this place to anyone! read more
