I do have to say that there was only one test administrator and he could only do 3 people per session. He needs a lot of help and the wait was rather long just to get the test while we waited outside in the heat. Thankfully it was under the plaza overhang. Could they not have more test administrators? The line also inside for the cashier was long and we were coming up to lunch time so the 4 cashiers may drop to 2. Let's see. So 9:15 appointment till 12 noon maybe with a printed license, we are hopeful. Online appointments are a waste of time because there aren't any even with a 3 month advance scheduling. Something very fishy as if teachers are blocking time slots for their students. I just think there needs to be an expedited system.

He had me in the drivers seat the first day and within 2 weeks I was ready to take my driving test. If he can get me ready for the test he can get you there too. Because the class size is kept small you get a lot of time in the driver seat more than any other place in Miami. Some days I had the truck all to myself. Trust the process and practice, practice, practice.

For the…read morethird lesson the instructor showed up with a faulty car, and told my daughter that despite some issues in the steering wheel, there was no reason to worry as it was "controllable". Within minutes they were on 195, on the left lane (third lesson ever for a 15 year old, what were they doing on the left?) when the car experienced more malfunctions with the windshield wipers turning on, and shortly after the car simply stopped. They were stranded on the left service lane for around an hour. The instructor called Ubers but they couldn't stop on the left. My wife went looking for them but also only checked the right lane as it is obviously where they should have been. Eventually they had to run across the highway to get the uber on the right. Yes mechanical failures may happen but what is absurd here is that the car had mechanical problems and the instructor was well aware of it *before* the lesson started. Yet he still had her on 195 on the fast lane. This entire episode was *extremely* unsafe. I asked for my money back and the school refused! I had to use the credit for another lesson (in which the report was never sent).

Another instructor, Ruben, was equally as AWESOME as the first instructor!!! My daughter received her license today but not before Juan (the owner) and Maria saved the day! My daughter and I had "issues" at the DMV!!! South Beach Driving School sends an employee to help with the process at the DMV. If not for the employee (Maria) my daughter would not have been allowed to take her drivers test and been forced to reschedule weeks in the future. We though it was very useful for…read moreall three of us to be able to drive in Miami so we wanted to take driving lessons in order to obtain our FL driver's licenses with the aim of renting or leasing and eventually buying a family vehicle. My mother's cleaning lady recently took driving lessons and obtained her driver's license and is now driving a pick-up truck. She referred us to her driving instructor, Claudia Figueredo, (Tel. 786 337-0640) a nice lady from Columbia and even called her over the phone to introduce us to her. My son was the first to take driving lessons with Claudia since he had to learn the rules of driving in order to pass the theoretical written driving test and then take driving classes in order to pass the practical road driving test to obtain his first ever driver's license. Then, my mom, who had driven most of her life but had stopped driving three years ago needed to practice driving before she felt confident enough to renew her driver's license and actually drive a car. I had driven overseas when I worked in United Nations peacekeeping operations. However, when my son and I moved to NYC, I stopped driving since there was good public transportation in NYC. When we moved to NJ, we relied mostly on buses, trains. taxis and Uber vehicles to get around. Since we moved to Miami, given that public transportation is somewhat limited, we are relying mostly on Uber vehicles to get around. So we thought it made sense for us to drive. I was out of practice with driving and didn't know my way around Miami. I was a nervous about driving again. I was particularly afraid of driving on highways with multiple lanes and driving at a high speed in order to adhere to the speed limit for driving on highways. Thanks to Claudia Figueredo, all three of us, especially my son, are more at ease and are more confident about our ability to drive ourselves around in Miami and ensuring that we know the rules for driving and that we comply with them. She is warm, friendly, kind and very patient and she takes time to explain the rules and to correct us when we make mistakes driving. She started each of us off in low-traffic areas and we gradually progressed to medium-traffic areas and then to high-traffic areas for our driving lessons with her. She had us practice switching lanes, merging with traffic, entering/driving on and exiting a 7-lane highway, driving over and under bridges, parking in different ways (driving straight into a parking space, parking in a side-ways parking space, reversing into a parking space, parallel parking etc. and exiting parking spaces and parking lots and parking on the side of the road and leaving the side of the road. We even went to gas stations to learn how to park cars there and refuel them and to car washes to learn how to use them. Through our driving lessons, we are gradually becoming more familiar with different neighborhoods in Miami. Claudia makes learning how to drive and practicing driving interesting and fun while ensuring that we are safe drivers that comply with the rules of driving.She is also very patient and polite as well as courteous and always speaks in a kind and reassuring and encouraging manner to us. We found out through Claudia that, in Miami, since the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is so backed up with a huge influx of people from all over the USA and from overseas, that the DMV has outsourced the written and road driving tests to driving schools like the one she is affiliated with, Sunpass Driving & Traffic School & Driving Testing Site. She scheduled written tests and road tests for my son and my mother at Sunpass. She also scheduled our appointments at the DMV to obtain our driver's licenses. I am pleased to say that all 3 of us now have FL driver's licenses and are safe drivers!

Recently, I happened to drive by the facility, and I was surprised by how much of that stress and frustration came rushing back -- clearly, the experience left a lasting impression. At the time, I was a very capable and well-prepared driver. I had spent years driving with a permit and had put in the effort to learn and follow proper driving procedures. Still, I was failed. While no test is ever perfect, I felt the examiner was unusually rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout. There was very little communication or feedback, and the entire process felt rushed -- almost like passing someone was an inconvenience. If there was any small, debatable issue, it felt like she would choose to fail you rather than give you a fair shot. I ended up getting my license just a few weeks later, at a different location, with no problems -- which only confirmed for me that I had been ready. After my test in Miami, I looked up reviews and saw that many others had shared similar experiences with the same examiner. When that many people describe the same pattern, it's hard to ignore. I spent over $350 just to take that test and travel to Miami -- only to leave feeling disrespected and discouraged. I genuinely hope things have improved since then, and that applicants today are being treated with the fairness and professionalism they deserve.

Completely unprofessional. I booked a lesson with him days in advance then late on the night before…read morethe lesson he sends a text message asking to reschedule. When I said I would have to reorganize childcare he then says he can come an hour earlier at 8.30 in the morning. I paid for child care and he not only did not turn up he did not have the courtesy to say he would not show. I waited for two hours before sending the babysitter home. To date he never responded to my calls. Do not book with this man.
