Update: A customer relation manager from the company called me and provided me a resolution which I…read moreagreed to. It was a quick response. So I upgraded my review to 3 stars. As I mentioned in my original post, this was my fault too since they did provide price up front. Will I choose them to do my job next time? Maybe. However I would definitely do some research first if time permits. The new heater is really quiet and I am happy about that. Another point I want to raise is that the plumber did a good job on installation but not the clean-up part. My wife and I spent almost an hour to clean up staircase and basement last night and we also found out there was some new dents on stairs. Below is my original review: _____________________ I felt like I got ripped off today. Water heater was leaking so I called ServiceMark since they installed for old owner and left a phone number on the old tank. They charged me $4663. I was in a desperate mood and was in and out of teleconference so I didn't do any research(totally my own fault). Now I have time and did some research and called some plumbers for quotes. The number was substantially low. I felt stupid and got robbed. I gave them 2 stars not 1 star because the plumber seems nice so I guess it's their company policy to rip off customer. I was going to ask them to install another tank for my investment property now I don't think it will happen. Won't do any business with them again!

My heating system finally had enough. I called Climac and Mike came out quickly, determined that…read morethe unit required a heat exchanger, expansion tank and circulator pump/motor. The unit was discontinued and parts were scarce. They gave me an estimate for a new replacement then returned a few days later to start the installation. The results are amazing! Quick Service, Quality Products and a Firm Estimate to get the work done!

I will continue to use Frater's - they are "up the street" from me and very convenient.

Tim is the best when it comes to diagnosing and fixing refrigerators. I am sure he is good with…read moreother appliances too (given his experience), but I've only had him work on our fridge, twice, so this is specific to fridges. Long story short, he was able to fix a simple wiring issue on our fridge when the panel stopped working, where a different vendor diagnosed the issue as a broken panel or a circuit short (but not sure where), which would cost about $400 to repair, and he wasn't even sure it would fix the issue. On top of it he said we'd still be responsible for the cost even if the new panel does not work - really? Tim connected the wiring under 10 minutes during the service call and did not charge any extra. For reference, the other technician was out here for 2 hours and was clueless - he had to call his manager a few times so he would know what to do next. I would definitely recommend Tim for appliance issues.

I had to have them return and redo the installation. They had numerous excuses for the poor installation. Beyond the cost, the quality of the work performed falls short of professional standards. * Multiple press-fit connections combined with SharkBite connectors within an 18-inch span * A missing cover at the bottom of the heater where the burner is located * An expansion tank that is not level, despite manufacturer guidance that it should be mounted vertically These concerns raise serious questions about the workmanship and adherence to industry best practices.
