Always great service at fair and reasonable prices. All their techs and office staff are polite and knowledgeable.

TLDR : This place recommended complete replacement of my furnace/AC combo unit (~$15,000), when in reality, a $300 part took 20 minutes for a laymen to install. Look elsewhere for a trusted HVAC company! Detail: Be very careful with this company. My furnace was making a loud rumbling sound so I called C&C based on a referral from a friend. Front desk was really nice, she did mention there could be a diagnostic fee of $69 on top of the automatic $129 service fee if the technician needed to do a deep assessment to figure out the problem. In the end, my inducer motor went bad. This is a problem that should be immediately identifiable by an experience technician, but they charged the $69 fee for "minor diagnostics." Ok, fine, but then, instead of quoting a repair they called it "costly" and recommend COMPLETE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE UNIT. The sales guy called me to schedule a time to come and give a replacement estimate. I had to stop him, and ask what the repair of the motor would cost. He couldn't quote it at the time. The next day, the office called me and quoted the repair at $1100. At this point, I didn't really trust the place, my unit is about 18 years old but is in decent shape, there is no reason to jump to complete replacement. So I googled the serial number and found the replacement part, confirmed with a friend in another state who has HVAC experience. The replacement motor was $300 online, shipped next day delivery. Talking with my friend, and looking up induce motor replacements online, I decided to give it a shot. I am barely handy and the repair took me 20 minutes; a few mounting screws, an electrical connector, and a hose detach/reattach and it was done. Furnace kicked right on, back to normal. So glad my instincts were right about this place and I got away just giving them $200 ($129 service call + $69 diagnostic fee) and stopped responding to them trying to replace my entire unit! There are tons of HVAC companies, find someone else that is a bit more honest with their consultations and a bit more reasonable with their pricing. read more

They recommended $3000 in repairs when we later found out there was nothing wrong with unit but simply a $200 part. They were not honest.

Had a York mini split system installed in my home about 2 years ago by C&C. 1 outside unit with two heads in separate rooms. No issues with the heating or cooling until this winter when one day both units stopped producing any heat. I called C&C since they did the installation. they came out and diagnosed the issue which was a corroded copper line that had pin holes in it and leaked out all of the refrigerant. I was charged $90 for the service call. They said it would be $1600 to replaced the copper line and recharge the system, nothing was covered under warranty because they only have a 1 year labor warranty and the 10 years parts warranty does not cover the copper line sets. After a few phone calls back and forth they did cover the line set and brought the bill down to $1300. I have two other Mitsubishi mini split units at my home that are about 8-10 years old, and no corrosion issues with the lines set at all. I just find it hard to believe that a copper line corrodes in 2 years and they are not willing to cover the issue. I work in the natural gas industry and I pull copper out of the ground that is 50 years old that isn't leaking. To me this sounds like a QC issue or a bad batch of copper. I have personally never seen copper corrode that fast in this area and I have a direct comparison with my older units that see the exact same conditions. This is my experience and moving forward when it comes time to replace my older mini split units. I will take my business elsewhere read more

Bad service, trying to make appointment, but they never called back, never do what I paid for and went your agreement is expired. They asked for prepaid service and after never called back. Do not recommend read more

We've been using C & C since moving into our current home 8 years ago. They are reliable and customer oriented. I have always been the one home when the service person comes twice a year for maintenance; they always take shoes off or wear covers. They are polite and friendly. We had an issue w the AC when we first moved in and they handled it well. As long as I'm in this area, I will use C & C for HVAC. read more

We had a new heating and air conditioning system installed today. We could not be happier. The installers were on time, very professional and neat and finished quicker then scheduled. Totally happy. read more

We got a call well within 24 hrs. George came after 12:30 PM and our noise problem was finally solved! We'll be delighted to recommend C &C to our neighbors, friends and family because of the excellent service provided. The unit we bought is efficient and has saved us money on both our profane and electric bills. Thank you so much! read more

Had service for the first time with C & C. Curran was super helpful, answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable. He loves his job, too! This was the first service in a new home with new HVAC equipment. I trust this company and will continue with C&C to provide annual service! read more

I called C&C because I have a York unit only installed 4 years ago, so I wanted a certified dealer so that if anything need replaced, it could hopefully be under warranty. I had a technician come out to look at my furnace that was kicking off before reaching full heat. The issue was not happening when the tech arrived, but he plugged into the unit and saw that an 8 blinking red light code had registered at some point. He said that it could have happened at anytime, so he doesn't know what the issue could be on the unit. He did not check or fix anything. He told me, if it happens again to call back, but he doesn't know what's going on. $95 later, he was on his way with no help or attempts at fixing. The issue happened again the next week, I call a different HVAC company who came out and saw the same error code. They determined, especially since under warranty, that they were going to clean the flame sensor and also replace the flame sensor. The part was covered under warranty with York as expected. Since the 2nd HVAC company came out, I have had no issues. I was really disappointed with C&C not even trying to diagnose the issue, even though he saw the 8 blinking red lights had registered at some point. He simply told me the duct work was not great in my house and the middle of the line filter I had in was too thick and I should get a thinner one. I will not be calling C&C again. read more

Great service and professional employees, that know what they are doing.Highly recommend this business

Recently my heating and cooling system went down and we needed it replaced fast. We did our due diligence by shopping the cost around. Some were astronomically high (won't mention the company, but it rhymes with a certain wireless communications company), some were too low (as in too good to be true), and than there was C&C. My experience started with Darren (their engineer) calling me the day following my quote request. What set him aside from other salesmen/ company engineers is that he legitimately seem concerned about my situation by asking if I needed somebody immediately, or how I planned on staying comfortable until my unit is replaced. Darren came out a few days later and assessed the situation, looked at the unit size, spec, duct, etc. Following that he took about 30 minutes to explain (in layman terms) what unit he would recommend, how the unit is cost efficient, how the thermostat will save on my energy costs, etc. Following that a detailed proposal was emailed to me the following morning. The proposal laid out exactly everything that we discussed the day prior. The good thing that separated his proposal versus other proposals that I received was that he did not include a lot of fluff that isn't necessary ($200 drain clean out, $500 MERV-16 filter upgrade, etc). Nor did he cut corners to save money. He quoted exactly what I needed to keep my family comfortable at a very wallet friendly price. After signing the proposal I was contacted by the owner of C&C who set a date to install. They came out four business days later to install. This, to me, is exceptionally fast considering this is probably the busiest time of year for them. The technicians arrived around 8 am and introduced themselves and walked me through the process that they were going to do that day. The laid down drop cloths and were very quite throughout the install. This is great considering that I had a 11 month old home with me that particular day. They guys wrapped up about four hours after they started and walked me through the entire operating process. Walked me through setting up the thermostat and particular features of the furnace and A/C. I am extremely pleased with the service and installation quality that I received. They are true to their word and I will use them going forward for the maintenance on my equipment. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is because I have yet to have the annual service done. Once I have that done and I have an established relationship with the company, I will write a follow-up review (where I am certain that I will give 5 stars). read more

Chad from C+C serviced our HVAC systems for the first time. He was very thorough and courteous. While doing the check up, he corrected a couple of items that needed attention. GREAT JOB! read more

I am updating my original rating from 1 star to 4 as the owner of the company called me to inquire about the issues our family has been having. He was very concerned how we were treated and very apologetic. He remedied the situation and kept me as a client to his company. Regarding the ladies who answer the phone, I am hoping he addresses that problem as they are not very pleasant to speak to, especially Joyce. read more

AC went down on Monday. My wife called C & C. The call taker was not the nicest person on the phone but the dispatcher ( who could be heard in the back ground) sent a technician out right away. The technician was great! He quickly found that our outside condensing coil needed to be cleaned and that fixed our problem. I don't know the cost because he said they would bill me but the response time (thank God for that dispatcher) was great and we really liked the tech. We will continue to use them and when we need a replacement system we will definitely give them a call. read more

I had C&C remove and replace my two 15 year old builder-specified and builders grade HVAC systems with new, more efficient equipment when one of my systems died. The owner who looked at the systems told me that my broken system could be repaired, and that this would be less expensive than replacing them. That said, he also said that they were at their expected life, and could go in the next few years. I did quite a bit of research and price comparisons and decided to have C&C replace both of my systems. I asked for more efficient (and expensive) units, and the owner suggested that I would really be wasting money, given the cost differential, cost of electricity and gas and the amount of time they would be used based on our climate. He provided high quality, but reasonably priced systems to meet my needs. He worked with me on pricing, given I was buying two replacement systems - and I got a very fair deal. His team arrived right on time, as scheduled, and went right to work. They had the old system out of my attic (through a small access panel) before I knew it, and the new furnace installed. They also finished the downstairs system quickly. Three guys, 8 hours of labor in one day day and I have all new equipment. The install team was courteous, efficient, effective, and left the house spotless. It was raining on/off during the day, but they had tarps down, and wore booties in the house. I'm very pleased with the entire process, the equipment choice, the company, and the service/support. I wouldn't hesitate to call them for major replacement, or for service/repair of existing equipment. I've used them in the past repairs (since they did the original builder install) and have always had a good experience. They are an established family-owned and run business that will work to earn your business and will deliver on their promises! read more

One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with no professionalism whatsoever they're only worried about $125 payment they have no idea of what they're even looking at had them come to look at my humidifier the guy was here no less than 10 minutes couldn't even take the system apart The guy said it could not be fixed sent them over pictures before they came like I said they're only worried about their $125 visit fee definitely try another company you'll be a lot better off read more

We had outstanding service from C&C. We had requested an estimate for a new HVAC and we were promptly contacted by Darin, their head of the engineering department. Darin was professional and provided us with all our options. We had received numerous quotes from other companies, but C&C were by far the cheapest with the most warranties on parts & labor. I think their prices are fair. We quickly scheduled a day to install the unit and in under 6 hours the crew were done. They used drop cloths and worked quietly and efficiently. They tested out the system prior to leaving and it all works great. I'm happy to know that my system is covered for the next 10 years. My friend has used C&C for years with over 2 homes and she's had great service from them. I highly recommend C&C for all your HVAC needs. read more

I would highly recommend C&C. They are reputable and stand behind their work. My A/C broke during tha past heat wave. They sent a repair technician (Tom) and he got me up and running in 30 minutes. I had and estimate from Horizon of $1,854 and Tom gave me options of $250 and $500. I the recieved and call from the office the next morning to schedule the repair fir the next week. I came to know about C&C Heating & Air Conditioning through Costco. I reached CNC to replace my old unit by get and installing new Air Condition Unit. I am not very happy using with their services, they haven't check the ducts and atleast three of rooms this new systems AC is not working. At least my old unit was working better for all my rooms. On top of it they never returned my State Refund, they kept it inspite of following so many times. I already informed to Costco head office, also I would never recommend any one of my friends. Thanks, Shan from Edison. read more

Some time after writing this review, a woman from HQ called my husbands cell (how they got his number ill never know since i was the one who called from my cell for all services) and "apologized" and said she'd talk to the team and Darin. !!CAUTION!!! C&C Heating and Cooling, in Soudertown PA, installed a new HVAC unit in my condo in 2013. After the install took place and the installers were still in my home, I went to look at the new equipment and was shocked at what I saw. The installers had removed my old unit, which had been a stand up unit approximately 49 inches high and had put in a new unit, which was installed on its side. Darin, the salesman, and the installers had neglected to tell me that the new unit was to be installed on its side taking up twice the space of the previous unit. And here comes the shock...... the new unit blocked the entrance to my crawl space and storage area. I couldn't believe it! The door to the crawl space, which is also my storage area is very visible. The installers couldn't have missed it. I talked to the installers about it and explained that I had stuff stored in the crawl space and they said I could still get into it. So, I measured the clearance between the door and the unit. 6 inches. The installers said that I could "squeeze in there", should I need to get into the space. Wow! A few months later my condo association decided to update the building sprinkler system. The workers couldn't get into the storage area to work on the sprinkler system. My condo association fined me $700, stating that I had willfully blocked access to safety equipment which was in direct violation of association mandates. Several calls to C&C brought no resolution and essentially, I gave up on pursuing the matter determining that I could not afford the money to correct the problem or the headache associated with it. Just recently, I came home from work and discovered a lot of water damage on my walls and a growing puddle of water. I was able to determine that the water was coming from the air conditioner. So, I called C&C and asked someone to come out. I explained about the flood and I was put on hold. A few minutes later, the representative came back on the line and told me that a service technician could come to my home on Friday, but that they couldn't come any sooner. Friday was 4 days later. I was angry and flippantly suggested I should build a boat because in 4 days I might have enough water to float away. Several thousand dollars in damage, $700 fine and a huge headache. I strongly recommend avoiding C&C heating and Cooling. read more

In my opinion, I was grossly overcharged for service. I was charged 275 for a capacitor replacement in my heat pump AC. The cost of this part is at most 20, and the service took about 10 minutes. Pricing was not discussed before the part was replaced. If I would have known the price, I would have paid the visit fee of 95, then called someone else. I will not use C&C again. read more

Unprofessional sales person. Good pricing but they fail to listen to the customer and then talk down and insult the customer for not going with their preferred brand. read more

I had C&C install central AC in my 90 year old home back in March. The men who did the week-long job were skilled, professional, and in some instances went out of their way to do things right. They had to deal with some very difficult spaces and fragile old plaster and did it without mishap. Now that the AC season has come and almost gone I can say that the system they installed was perfect for my house and did the job very well this summer. I'm very pleased and would recommend them. Not cheap ( a job like this never is), but in my experience worth it. read more

Call C&C on a Friday afternoon to repair our failing heat pump. (Installed 2010 by C&C) Earliest appointment available was following Thursday. The unit failed through the night and I called the emergency number just before 8 AM. Connected with their answering service who said my emergency repair request would be past on to the C&C technician. I called again when I didn't get a call back after over an hour. The response from Joyce when I mentioned I was calling again because i had been waiting some time, was that the phones were ringing off the hook. When I requested emergency service, her very quick curt response was no, that I had an appointment scheduled and no one was available prior to that. Her manner was dismissive and unprofessional. read more

I called shortly after 4 AM, when I first discovered I had no heat. I found out that "24/7 emergency service" on the website means an answering service will be available to speak with me and take my information, but I will have to wait till 8:15 to find out if and when a tech can get to my house. Joyce called at 8:15, and Todd got here around 9:30, diagnosed the problem, and replaced an electrical board to the tune of around $400 (I received a discount because I have been a maintenance contract customer since I moved into my house 23 years ago). Todd told me to have around $6000 in reserve for some time in the future, because my unit is running on borrowed time (it is original with the house) and it will eventually have to be replaced. Todd is the most infectiously cheerful tech of all of the C & C techs I know, and he is as honest as the presidents whose birthdays we celebrate this month (February). It is approaching noontime, my heat is functioning again, and I still have time to do other things with my day. Very grateful! read more

C & C Heating advertises 24 hour emergency repair service both on their web sight, Angies list and in the phone book. This is simply not true. If you have a problem and call them after 12 o'clock midnight, you gat a answering service and your told that they will not come out until after 8 AM. By 9 AM the following morning I had to call them back. My house was 52 degrees inside by then. When I asked them why they don't send their repair men out after midnight, I was told that they felt it is to dangerous for their workers to drive between midnight and 8AM. If you have a heater break down, don't you think it would happen when it's the coldest at night? That's after midnight. read more

I had the sales rep from C&C out to give me an estimate. After my having to follow up with him to get the quote, I decided to have the work done by another company who had quoted me. When the rep called me to follow up on his quote and I let him know I was going with someone else, he literally ranted and raved at me for 10+ minutes about how great their equipment was (I had seen some not great reviews of it, and that was one of several reasons I chose not to use them and the one I cited), and why was I going with another company, was I only judging on price (no, the other company was a few hundred more), and on and on about why it was a mistake not to choose them (really, because who wouldn't want to go with the company where the rep berates and yells at you?). The end of his tirade involved threatening me that "I'd better get a permit because he knew the building inspector and would make sure they stopped out." (I had no intention of not getting a permit if needed). I am a woman, and look younger than I am. My guess is he would not have carried on and threatened a male customer in this manner. read more
