Oh, to feel enchanted. One of the truly most illuminating and industrious words in the English…read moredictionary. So charmed, so fascinated, so enamored that one thinks they must have fell under spell. I may have not been enchanted, or bewitched, but this Poutine was unquestionably delightful. It left me delirious. And I do declare it as the best I've had in the Toronto area. As a silly American - You'll think who is this guy to talk about Poutine? As a silly American - I'm thinking who is Abraham Welsh of Abraham Welsh road? What you should be asking is, what is LB doing up in the region, he's so well-traveled. And why does he know poutine better than I? Well, it's because I'm humble and unpretentious and truth seeking. Listen. Yes. Poutine in Quebec is better, no sheisty Sherlock. But that is not to mean there's no five star specials in all of Ontario. So shove it. Truth be told... I had tried a few in my multiple visits to the area. A few that fell short. And I so thought, maybe those French Canadians were onto something. But then I thought to silly old self, they are still kinda French they can't be onto anything. You may wave the white flag, but as a patriot I must continue to explore for better. And finally, after years of travel to the great white north (not counting Quebec), I found a good Poutine at the Enchanted Poutinerie. Poutine is a food that just makes sense. The fact that it's not more popular in the US genuinely makes me furious. Gear grinding. Bath bombing. Chestnut roastingly maddening. It should be everywhere. Maybe we'd screw it up but I'd settle for some ok Poutine more than I currently settle for none. Disco fries aren't the same so don't even try. Anyways I'd love to absolve myself. I love Canada. There. I said it. The people are charming. The women are glorious in their glory. And everything's a new build so you feel modern. It's no America. But maybe that's a good thing for it. I hope your real estate issues resolve themselves. Yes, I'm in the know. Im enlightened. A renaissance man forced into the information age. I'm a millionaire. By mind only, but why don't you mind your business. Where was I? Yes. I luckily found myself here. I ordered three orders of poutine d'asposto. Some with chicken nugs on top. I walked in to excellent service. My orders were ready and I was provided utensils and a drink. Clean, organized establishment with a modern design/layout. The smell of these potaterrr fries was devastating and demanding. I ripped open the bag and started in on my container. Just look at the image. You can tell by the color of the gravy and the fry of the fries that you're in for good eats, aye? The fries themselves are really spectacular, one of the best poutine fries I've ever had. Well salted and well crisped. The gravy was simple but dense in it's taste. The curds weren't anything outstanding but they weren't chewy. I could've gone for more curds and more gravy. But that's not a quality debate that's a quantity debate. This jawn was so darn surprisingly good that I nearly finished it while stopping at the 100 stop lights and the insane traffic I hit on the 401. Did I get that right? Probably. Local Linguini at it again. Philosophers stone instead of sorcerers stone though? Idk if I can get behind that. A few drivers next to me were disgusted by my eating antics on the road. Grow up, IMM THE MANNN. Anyways is this a Top 5 Poutine I've ever had? No. But a little secret here, I barely give these out so jot it down, Poutine is one of my favorite five foods so I've had a ton of them. Is this spot still great? 100%. Would I go again? Yes and I will. Plus I'd be glad to recommend the spot. That's five stars if I say so myself. And as Yelp Elite's brightest and most unknown superstar, that must mean something to someone, somewhere. If you need me, call me. If you can't get me, you know where to find me. Drowning under a pool filled with gravy and fries. Curds stuffed in my cheeks - leave me be. This is how I want to go out. It just makes sense. Delighted. Dazzled. And Enchanted. I assume this is what you felt getting to know me, Canada. Au revoir, for now. LB absconds into the night.

There's not much seating inside so it's mostly a grab and go kind of establishment. Service was not too bad but nothing memorable either. Might check out the other flavoured ones next time.

We were originally going to go to Pai, but since there was a line out the door because we didn't make a reservation, we ate here. The interior was fun, with the original owner's face on many different things, and there was a loud-ish mix of rock and early heavy metal. Apparently, this spot is a chain, and they used to have some US locations, but I'm not surprised they closed. We got some Cauliflower Bites for 5.49 CAD to begin. These were decent and, unlike our poutine choices, not overly salty. The little bits of fried cauliflower could have used a bit more flavor, but they worked for texture, and both of us eventually added some pieces to our poutines. My poutine of choice was the Prime Beef Deluxe, with ground beef, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and green peas, for 13.99 CAD. As a whole, the poutine was rather nasty, with the whole thing feeling wet. The watery gravy lacked flavor compared to the couple of other examples I've had before. The fries, even though they were hot and looked crispy, were limp and potatoey, and they were getting limper by the second because of the bad gravy. The cheese curds were decent, but there weren't that many of them. The beef didn't help how wet the dish was, nor did the frozen peas, with the only decent parts being the caramelized onions and mushrooms. I had maybe 60/70% of it, leaving many very wet fries at the end. The other person had the Buffalo grilled chicken with grilled chicken, buffalo sauce, creamy ranch dressing, and green onions, which was a dollar more. From the little bit I tried, the chicken was certainly better quality, though still a bit gummy. The buffalo sauce had a little bit of heat. The whole thing was extremely overdressed with the sauce, dressing, and gravy, and he had maybe half of it at most. This meal was terrible. They were both a salty mess with bad fries and worse gravy. I've had better poutine in NYC, and there are barely any Canadian spots here. Go here if you're high or drunk and therefore lack proper taste buds.

When I walked in the walls were filled with pictures of the food and fun art. There was also music videos playing on a TV which was awesome to watch while I waited for my food to be ready. I ordered the Traditional Poutine and the Bacon Cheeseburger poutine. The cashier was so friendly and patient while I asked a few questions. Once it was ready it was HOT and overflowing. The traditional was really good. I personally would've liked less gravy, but I think most people would've loved how much they gave. As for the bacon cheeseburger, I felt like the beef could've been more seasoned, but the bacon and cheese covered fries hit the spot. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and it was so filling I couldn't even finish it all.
