Decent service. You order from a screen as opposed to with a person so no one even greets you even though they are behind a counter. A little pricey ($20 for a reg size poutine + can of pop). We went for lunch in the middle of the week so it wasn't busy. It's a small shop with no tables but they have about 5-6 bars stools along the window if you want to eat there. I went with the popcorn chicken poutine. It comes with garlic sauce on the chicken with I opted to get on the side because I wasn't too sure how I felt about garlic sauce mixed with the gravy. The poutine itself was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary.

The portions are generous. The accompanying sauces flavourful and I appreciate that the meats weren't overly salty and just perfectly seasoned. We ordered a platter for 4 to feed 3 adults and 2 hungry kids and we have plenty to spare for leftovers. Some of us also ordered the individual build your own, which is also quite affordable and reasonably priced. My fav has to be the ribs and brisket. The Mac and Cheese disappeared quickly. The staff was really friendly and helpful and there was plenty of seating on a Sunday evening when we dined as a group of 8. Asked everyone's rating at our table, they gave this experience a 4.5-5 stars all around. Definitely a spot we don't mind returning to!

Surprised this place actually reopened. They closed for renovation for a very long time I was…read moreconvinced it was done. Another surprise is that they left the old 90-00's coffee time floor tiles still intact. Closing the restaurant for nearly a year, I thought it would be changed dramatically but I don't think it changed that much. Just a bit cleaner with the new counter space. But what matter is the food and it is quite good. The batter of the fish is crispy and tasty. Not too crazy about the fries or coleslaw though. And they serve genetic brand ketchup and tartar sauce.

I have to say up front, if it weren't for the huge, recent increase in prices, probably a 4. But at…read more$75 for 3 combos, not Uber or delivery but picking it up ourselves, there's no way I can say I'll be returning anytime soon. Said 3 combos were one each of Halibut, Haddock, and Cod, with chips but no drinks. They were nothing over the moon compared to other half decent fish and chip places. Same greasy boxes/bags containing standard chips and nice, fresh fish. Decent portions. If you happen to be near the plaza where they're located (sort of a lonely intersection there at Islington and Hwy 7 West), it definitely fits the bill for a fish and chips craving, and you'd rather not have Pizza Pizza a few doors down. There's a parking lot which at least makes it convenient if you're not paying even more for delivery. Nothing against them really but wouldn't go back specially.

Best bbq/ smoked meat I've had in a very long time. The…read moreribs had the house sauce, very good not too sweet or spicy. Both the brisket and pulled pork were very tender and flavourful. Only good quality meat tastes this good. The coleslaw was good . The secrete ingredient in the dressing was mango. Don't worry if you don't like mango. You don't taste it, it's just part of the background flavour and creates a flavour profile that is amazing. Same with the potato salad, tiny bits of mango in it, it just blends with all the other ingredients to create something really special. Service was excellent, I think it was the owner, but judging by the place, all the employees would be as knowledgeable and helpful, I diols mention, the wings. Very good, the honey garlic sauce dripped of onto the plater, I loved dipping the fries in it. We tried the hot honey on the side. Normally I don't like the spicy, but even with the kick it had, it was very good. The price point was very good. Even with the recent increases in price, it more affordable and higher quality than our regular spots closer to home. We had the feast for 2 for $75. It could have fed 1 or 2 more. We loved it. Cleanliness was excellent and exceptional. Looking in the kitchen, I've never seen a cleaner place. The only negative which is a positive for us. The sausages were not ready. My husband was disappointed, but it's good to know the food is that fresh and probably why the rest was so good and so fresh and flavourful. This is a place we will be coming back to and would recommend

Lamb sausage (daily meat) was good: very meaty & slightly spicy, with a nice spice mix. Cornbread was pretty good: moist enough & quite rich. Mac & cheese was good: nice breading, a bit firm & with a very rich & cheesy sauce. The washroom is surprisingly stylish.

The modern, chic decor sets a wonderful ambiance, and the service was immediate and welcoming. The food was spectacular from start to finish. We started with fresh, warm bread, followed by a flavorful seafood gumbo loaded with meat, and a generous portion of two lightly breaded crab cakes. For our mains, the 10oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin were seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection--compliments to the chef! They came with a lovely side of baby potatoes and vegetables. We capped off a perfect meal with a warm pecan tart and ice cream. I highly recommend coming here. We noticed they have a pizza oven and plan to add pizza to the menu soon; we already can't wait for our next visit to try it out! Ps parking wise, the restaurant is just off a residential neighborhood and parking is free. No need to pay for any parking, just remember to read signs.

There are specials that change weekly. The interior is decorated with New Orleans memorabilia, medium lit, cozy (not large), with jazz music in the background. Service was attentive and friendly. They operated for 30 years at their old location. This location soft-opened on 2026-02-12. We came on 2026-02-25 for dinner. There were still some furnishings to complete (there were unforeseen delays). They kept the same menu offerings but it will be expanded within a month. We ordered the following: 1. Citra Terre D'Abruzzo Pinot Grigio - Italy (glass $14.95). 2. Coke. 3. Crab Cakes ($19.95). 4. New Orleans Shrimp Cocktail ($19.95). 5. Jambalaya Aranchini (weekly special). 6. Blackened Lamb Chops (weekly special). 7. New Orleans Fisherman's Plate ($39.95). 8. Pecan Pie warmed with Ice Cream ($14.95). 9. Bananas Foster ($14.95). 10. Beignet ($14.95). Every dish had an excellent presentation. We spent a lot of time taking photos and videos. What did you expect from me?! We loved all the dishes! The portions were large! There are more staff than in the previous location, allowing the service to be excellent. They tend to have many loyal and returning customers. Every table starts with freshly baked bread and butter. The bread was so fresh! The three appetizers tasted good. They each had a little kick due to creole cuisine. I loved the shrimp the most. The Blackened Lamb Chops was perfectly cooked. Each of the four pieces were very tender, accompanied by a delicious sauce. The dish had some very nicely cooked seasonal vegetables: roasted potatoes, a red pepper, string beans, a broccoli, and a carrot. This dish will be put into their regular menu in the near future. The New Orleans Fisherman's Plate is great if you want a little sampling of their seafood: Blackened Fish, Cajun Calamari, and Coconut Beer Shrimp. It also comes with rice and seasonal vegetables. The fish was so good! We brought some home for my mom and she really loved it. The Coconut Beer Shrimp was on top of a Orange Marmalade Sauce, which is really liked. The three desserts looked really good and tasted good. I loved the pecan pie the most. They can split dishes in half in the kitchen and serve them on two dishes for two people to share. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients and spices to create authentic Creole and Cajun tastes. Everything is made in-house except for bread and butter. In the near future, their bread will be made in-house too. Currently, there is only indoor dining but they are looking into the possibility of sidewalk outdoor dining. Mike Djurdjevic runs the front of the house while his wife, Mira Djurdjevic, operates the kitchen. Their son, Marko, also helps in the front of the house. There is a large pizza oven at the back of the restaurant. They will be introducing creole pizza in the near future. There is a separate large room for events, parties, etc. This room will be ready in the near future. They also do catering. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom, which is also wheelchair accessible, and one female washroom. Thrre is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2026-037
