Stopped in at Phily's pizza for the first time on a Wednesday evening after a quick drop-in at our daughter's cabin. We were initially the only customers there and were immediately greeted and seated. The service and staff were absolutely the kindest they could be! The restaurant had filled to about 50% by the time we left (which was unexpected for a VERY cold early January Wednesday) and call-in orders just kept coming. The pizza and salad were absolutely delicious though I would say the house vinaigrette dressing could use a little "punch." That would be the only tiny negative that I can say and we WILL be back as soon as we can get out there! The pizza sauce was the right amount of sweet, the hand-tossed crust was perfect and puffy and doughy and crisp! Excellent choice for a weeknight or weekend! read more

Nice little casual pizza place. My favorite part of this pizza place is the very sweet young lady that owns it and of course the pizza. The pizza is a very good quality pizza. You can tell they use the best ingredients and it is definitely a five star pizza. Located right on Depot Street in the middle of Marthasville. It is worth a stop to visit these guys and get a pizza. My girlfriend and I were in town to ride the Katy Trail and walked over and grab the pizza to go one night and we spoke to the owner the entire time we were waiting on our pizza which was a fast 10 or 15 minutes. She is very sweet and had just bought the place and we wish her so much luck and success. Again the quality pizza will taste really makes this a winner in our books. read more

We ordered the Elba (Alfredo base, chicken, spinach, onions, roasted red peppers, moz) And the Italian salad. We loved it! The hand stretched crust is lightly crispy with a good chew. Pizza crust/dough is very yummy. I love the topping concepts/mashups, but think the need to include more toppings on the pizzas. Really enjoy the Philly steak pizza, but seemed like they only included half the toppings. However, the customer service is amazing! The woman at the register/counter is so kind and helpful! We visit this restaurant every time we go to the local orchard for berry picking... great lunch when we're all hot and hungry! read more

Best Pizza by far! A Must Stop if you are in the area. Found this gem while staying in near by on a Katy Trail bike trip; everyone recommended it and now I know why. The salad was fresh and crisp, wings were cooked perfectly, and the pizza just WOW! The dough is flavorful, soft, with just a bit of chewiness, basically perfect. We tried both the hand stretched and deep dish on 2 separate stops. I will come back and stay in this area on our next Katy Trail trip so we can have more Philly's Pizza! read more

Super impressed! Lots of different crust choices as well of topping combinations. Our 12" Italian meat hand stretched pizza was delicious. Another great part are the COVID-19 precautions they are taking. The lobby is closed and the only on-site seating is out on the patio. This little pizzeria tucked away in Marthasville, MO, is the perfect stop to carb load and refuel before tackling the Katy Trail again. I can only speak to their New York style pizza, but it was excellent. Given that they are one of the few places in town to grab a bite to eat, they could probably get by on an inferior product. However, this pizza can compete with the best of them. The ambiance is very casual. They have Sharpie markers on the tables so patrons can literally leave their mark on the place. Great pizza and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area! read more

Imagine moving to a place where there's no Starbucks no Imos no fast food. Than imagine finding a good pizza joint in a town so small that you think it can't possibly be good. But it is. Their salads are fresh and huge. Nothing special but fresh. The pizzas are made to order. They are the best around. They deliver, but the drive is pretty so we pick up ourselves. Should you choose to eat in, they do have some decent beers on tap. Plus you can write on the walls and let everyone know you were there. read more

This is exactly what I needed after biking 40 miles on the Katy Trail - a delicious, saucy, cheesy pizza! We got the BBQ chicken which came with a LOT of chicken. It was really good. Since this is the ONLY place that delivers to my parents' house, I usually end up eating from here almost every time I visit. The pizza is very good overall, though the pepperoni pizza is frequently dripping with grease, so I usually have to soak some of it up with a paper towel, or I end up with an upset stomach. Got 3 pizzas. Thin and hand tossed where acceptable but the deep dish was a pile of slop on a soggy crust. The smell of mold pours out the back room. Every time you get up to refill your soda you take it in and it ruins the food. If they would refill your drinks maybe I would have never noticed that smell. But it was self service... read more

If you are riding the Katy Trail or are anywhere near Marthasville when you are hungry, this is THE place to go. We stopped for lunch and found this great little restaurant, that was large by standards of the places we had been on the Katy Trail. The town has a population of maybe 1,000...but this restaurant is frequented by people from miles and miles around. The walls are covered with personal notes of people who have eaten there. It was really a good pizza! The pizzas are priced by size and number of toppings...starting at $6.99. We (a group of 3) averaged about 8.99 for 10 inch pizzas. A Great find. The ingredients are local, fresh and the crust (we had the hand-pulled thin) was magnificent. I understand that the dough comes from St. Louis somewhere and that all the meat, incredients are local. They have specials noted...like Seasonal Vegetables (whatever is currently the hot vegetables in the area--put on the pizza). One of us ordered that - it was great! I'm rating this restaurnat 4 instead of 5 stars because of two things...salad dressing comes in plastic packets...that's kind of uncool and definitely let's you know salad isn't a priority here and one cannot have a beer (no alcholol) with your pizza. For me...a beer is a must for pizza! That's personal, though. Plus...we had the added joy of having Philly's mom be our waitress and she was great! read more

My wife and I drove all the way from St. Charles to have lunch there after seeing the article in Rural Missouri paper. Was disappointed to learn that they do not open until 3pm Tues-Thurs.This is not mentioned on their website. Business must not be that good if they are having to cut back on hours of operation. The closest thing to Chicago pizza! And a great location right on the Katy Trail. Our favorite is the deep dish white chicken pizza thats made with an alfredo sauce -- the crust is so fresh and yeasty. The deep dish pizzas are so filling -- we can live on it for 3 days! Called to place a "to go" order and they put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Let me preface that I called at almost 3:30p and they opened at 3p. Can't see where they would have a line at the door with a crowd waiting to get in in Marthasville!!! So I called back and they never answered the phone after I let it ring for over 3 1/2 minutes and while I took the time to share with everyone this rating. It would have been my first time to try out this place that is close to my house. Looks like I'm heading to Washington to get an Imo's Pizza instead. It's the best in St. Louis anyway and well worth the extra minutes to get there.
