The history of Balducci Vineyards traces its roots to Louis Balducci, who after immigrating to the U.S. in 1906, worked in the vineyards of California to learn the art of winemaking. After WWII, he established the Balducci Wine Company in 1946. Later in 1987, his son bought land in Augusta, MO, and began formal wine production in 2001. In 2021, the vineyards was purchased by the Hoffman Family of Companies (who also owns many other vineyards in the Augusta, MO area). Wine making operations is now handled by the 3rd generation of Balducci's.
