I honestly can't give a better plug for Keith than a full 5 rating. When my laptop started making a whack fan noise and quickly got progressively worse I was feeling leery about who to trust and "what's it going to cost me"? I was working on an important project while traveling abroad, and when I got back and plugged my flash drive into my laptop all of my data had mysteriously disappeared. I looked up and contacted numerous tech repair places on Yelp. After explaining what had happened, most of them said that they couldn't help me because the flash drive had either been formatted and thus, the data couldn't be recovered or because I had saved the data on the computer I was using and not the flash drive (definitely not what happened). Keith was the only one who said it sounded like there was a chance my data could be recovered. I dropped my flash drive off to him on a Sunday, and had all my data back by Thursday (thank the universe!). I highly recommend calling Keith! I needed his help recovering photos from a Macbook hard drive that I thought was totally dead. The computer had crashed probably more than a year ago. We tried to recover the materials ourselves but we were unsuccessful. The hard drive just sat in our basement until I finally decided to find professional help to see if we could recover our photos from the hard drive. I found Keith on yelp, called him up and he was able to see me within the hour. He was able to get back to me within 24 hours about the state of the hard drive and the price he would charge to recover the files. Keith is great! I've used him for repairs on three separate computers (two Mac's, one PC) and he's been perfect every time. Keith provides documentation when necessary (I needed a document stating that a computer was broken beyond repair to authorize a return and documentation of needed repairs for a warranty), offers loaner computers if needed, and doesn't perform any repairs without your express permission. He even found discs for the Adobe Creative and Microsoft Office suites and installed them onto my computer when I lost the programs because of a broken hard drive! Extremely happy with the help Keith provided. My MacBook Pro had a swollen battery and Keith was able to replace it for even less than the estimated cost (pretty sweet, right?!). Keith was very helpful in fixing my machine (fan was not working/tons of viruses/would barely turn on). He ordered a new fan, replaced the fan and cleaned up most of the gunk on my computer. He offers free pickup and dropoff which is great and his prices were quite affordable vs. sending into Dell and waiting a month for it to be sent back. I've only had the computer back for one day since picking up from Keith, but it is running much smoother than before and am hoping it remains this way going forward. Fantastic job! I am delighted with Keith's terrific service in both setting up my new computer and in retrieving my lost documents from the old one. Here's what happened. My Dell AIO desktop suddenly died. After following every suggestion on the internet, it would not start. All my important documents going back several years were on its hard drive. I assumed that my external drive had backed up the documents, but was not sure. I decided to replace the Dell ASAP and after some research ordered an HP AIO Envy. It arrived within a week. I then began looking for technical help both to set up my new computer and to retrieve my documents. Fortunately, I found Keith at PhillyTechHelp. I called him and within a day he came to my home and confirmed my suspicion that the motherboard had fried. He expertly set up my new HP and patiently configured it to suit all my needs, including the apps and links that I previously used. I was greatly impressed with Keith's depth of knowledge and patience. He not only set me up, but introduced me to features I didn't know the computer had. I frankly learned a lot from him, and he stayed with me until I was fully comfortable using the new computer. As for recovering the lost documents, it turned out the the external drive was not set up properly, so Keith decided to take the fried Dell home to try to retrieve the documents. My laptop decided a good time to die would be less than a week before I move out of the country. I disagreed, but couldn't convince it to change it's mind. So, I frantically searched through yelp and contacted a few people. Because of his response time and competitive price quote, I decided to go with Keith. Aside from the price, he was also convenient as he's often in center city during the day and willing to pickup wherever. So price and convenience were great, but his service was what easily pushed him to a 5-star review. He kept me posted on the progress he was making over the weekend. Wound up troubleshooting for a while, cleaning out some clogged fan vents, replacing my hard drive and re-installing windows and some other software, all for $125. And even then, as he dropped my now happy, working PC back to me, he said he guarantees all work, so if I had any trouble to contact him. I tripped over my charger cord while charging my laptop. I broke the charger and it broke off inside the computer. Best buy wanted to charge me $400. I needed to trash it but before I did I needed to get the hard drive out of the computer. That is where Keith comes in. While studying with my laptop one sunny afternoon at a coffee shop, it began to run out of battery. So without hesitation, I plugged it into the floor outlet. A few minutes later, the computer shut off. *?!?!?* I pressed the power button to turn it back on but a black screen with a blinking cursor appeared. After trying some keystrokes, nothing seemed to be happening. So I turned it off and on multiple times, but the blinking cursor mocked my futile efforts. My friend sitting next to me Yelp'ed "computer repair" and the first (and best rated) business was Steve. I called the number and Steve (owner) pleasantly explained what it could possibly be. We scheduled a meeting and he came over to take a look and pick up the laptop. I was sad to part with my laptop for a few days, but I knew it was in good hands.
