My external hard drive contained the only record of my professional life over the past many years, as well as every digital photo I ever took, which included my kids growing up and family vacations. Within a week, the process was complete, and the new hard drive arrived safe and sound. It is now backed up to the cloud! I feel like I got my life's history back. While at a out of state client site I used the company VPN to access client files, data and project photographs located on the server's hard drive. The VPN connection was made but the hard drive containing the data could not be found. When our computer IT consultant reviewed the problem it was found that the hard drive was making clicking sounds when being accessed by the server. The hard drive was removed and a new hard drive installed and we started a restore from our tape drive back up. To our surprise the tape back-up software did not back up the entire hard drive, the tape back-up left almost 100 Gigs of data missing.
