I didn't have anything very complex to fix, just a laptop that died on me and I needed a diagnosis that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I wanted to erase the hard drive before recycling it because I was pretty sure it was not worth trying to repair it. I'd researched the common problems with my particular model of Acer Aspire (overheating) and wasn't sure if it was worth trying to replace parts (only to not have them work). At first Matthew thought he could salvage the machine but the same problem of overheating kept happening while he was working on it. So he informed me it wasn't worth it, and just got my data, music, photos, and downloads off the hard drive (for which I paid $50). If he were able to repair the machine, he said it would've cost me $160. I trust these guys. Matthew is a genius. Service is so fast and so professional. They also have great deals on refurbs, ie: Mac desktop for $380 (wowza), Sony Vaio for $500, etc.

(I had no easy way to do this myself; my mobile web decided to give me the finger at about the same time.) Brought my computer in the morning after this fiasco started, and explained the situation. Voree did an amazing job. I did not feel ripped off by their service charges (I almost always feel ripped off by computer repair). They did not mess around or try to upsell. I dropped my part off at noon and I swear by the time I got home the guy had called and said things would be ready in half an hour. They are great and I recommend them for all your computer service needs.

There has been no response of any kind. In any business relationship between a customer and a business owner, trust is a key ingredient. Phil Chapline broke this trust when he suggested that I contact him if future problems developed. When I needed help, he chose to ignore a paying customer who he had no conflict with. Then I gave Chapline computers a call. He also told me it would probably be 2-3 days. However he was able to give me a probable diagnosis over the phone with a corresponding cost estimate (under $100). I decided to drop the computer off at Chapline. Instead of the 2-3 day wait I was expecting, he asked me if I had a few minutes, proceeded to take the computer apart and replace the power supply and send me home with a repaired computer 15 minutes later - all for less than $100! As I earn my living using this computer every day, I was extremely happy with this good old-fashioned, excellent customer service. Although I'm sure they can't offer that sort of turnaround time (or price) on most repair jobs I will nevertheless be using them for all my computer repair needs in the future.
