The staff here were professional and considerate. Sometimes as a woman I get talked down to by IT workers, but fortunately that wasn't the case here. I brought my computer in for a specific problem, but it turned out to be a non-issue and a simple fix. The staff demonstrated to me that my computer turned on and worked fine, and they didn't charge me for any service since nothing needed to be fixed (Best Buy could never). I really appreciated that and will definitely come again if my tech needs service in the future. read more

CG's service is absolutely spectacular. I can't say enough good things about this service and the staff. Whatever issue you may have, they fix and fix it right the first time. Moreover, the staff is always prompt and professional. In addition, if the issue requires the staff to come to your residence or business, they come as quickly as possible and never keep you waiting. A special shout out to Raymond and Scott. You are truly the best of the best. I rate this business ten stars out of five. Many, many thanks for your efforts on my behalf. I am very grateful and highly, highly recommend you. read more

I didn't go through with service with Computer Guys, but they still provided me wonderful customer service. I called inquiring for a quote for appx how much it would cost to fix my touch screen on my laptop. I'm balancing the option of fixing, versus living with it and buying a new laptop when needed. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful, looked up the price of a brand new laptop of my kind, and gave me the quote for appx how much the parts + labor would be for this type of fix. His advice, which I agreed with - was to live with the inoperable touch screen until it's time to buy a new one Thanks for being helpful, even to a non-paying customer. I'll certainly consider them for future computer repair needs! read more

My computer broke, and the gentleman was very kind. He took the time to explain to me what was wrong with my computer and gave me very good advice. I really appreciate his honesty about the price, and I recommend him to anyone else. You are in good hands. read more

Excellent service! Scott answered my evening call and set me up with a technician on the next day. Paul, the technician, was knowledgeable, kind and calm - just what I needed. He helped me resolve an issue with transferring my Outlook calendar, contacts and emails from one laptop to another, and to get them all to appear in Outlook Classic on my new laptop. I highly recommend them. read more

Absolute terrific guys, quick servcie and competitive prices. Scott, Manny and their team get i done--smoothly, quickly and they are there for follow-up and questions---which for me matters a lot. I rarely write reviews but this is well-earned. Thanks guys. read more

Sent my computer in for a screen repair. The repair process took longer than expected, no fault on their end, the replacement part distributor sent them the incorrect screen and they had to ship it back. Took a few weeks. They assured me that they would send me updates via text and email, which they did. However me being a nervous wreck also went in personally for updates every 4 or 5 days. They were wonderful each time, letting me know what was going on, reassuring me that this is a very standard process, etc. Very professional and sociable people. Highly recommend. read more

Great company. I had them upgrade the memory on my iMac. Did an amazing job at a fair price. Super quick and super easy to get it done. No drama, just great service. Highly recommend them! read more

Computer Guy - Outside - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

They are worth every (incredibly well priced) penny. I spilled half a mug of coffee on my laptop, and it's full on quarantine-mode right now in the city. Not only was Computer Guy open, they were so calming and walked through next steps and precautions for social distancing. My laptop was dried and cleaned within a few hours, and handed off to me without any trouble. Considering how much coffee it absorbed, I thought I would have to replace some things, and fully expected having to undergo further repairs. But no: everything is working perfectly, and they reassured me that they would be there if I felt like I needed to replace anything. Their prices are fair, they're honest, and they produce quality work. I can easily imagine someone hearing a panicked student crying on the phone over her laptop and seeing dollar signs. Instead, they were upfront and honest. This is the kind of place you go back to, over and over again, if you have any issues. 5 Stars, highly recommend. Thank you so much! read more

I was in desperate need of having my computer fixed and these guys remotely fixed my work computer for me. I am in CA and the fix was quick and professional. Easy to understand the tech and he knew his stuff. read more

What can I say? I regret that I didn't get the guys name who helped me but none the less, he was very helpful, professional and although the bearer Of bad news about my laptop; I was very thankful. I will definitely be returning to the "Computer Guy" for all my future computer needs and without a doubt will recommend them to anyone in need. Another plus, my computer diagnostic was free of cost. Office depot had quoted a $100 charge just to drop off the laptop and diagnose the problem, let alone the cost of potentially fixing the problem. read more

So I spilled water on my laptop and was in panic mode. I was freaking out and worried that I lost everything. I did some research online and found Computer Guy. These guys are a lifesaver! Gene was my go-to guy and went above and beyond to take care of everything. He was able to get the information from my laptop asap so I can get going with my files during the repair process. They also have loaner laptops you can use while you're waiting on repair. Fortunately, all went well and my laptop is as good as new. I highly recommend Computer Guy. The folks here are super nice, responsive, and really care about doing a great job! read more

I was impressed at the friendliness and knowledge of the people at CGPC (aka "Computer Guy PC"). I took my laptop in for a simple battery replacement which entailed taking the entire laptop apart. They performed the replacement, cleaned the laptop, and monitored the battery discharge rate over several hours before it was returned the following day. Good folks. I would go back for any additional computer related service read more

I am very disappointed w/ my experience. Looking back at the reviews, I should have known that something was wrong when all the negative reviews were commented w/, "you've never been here." I called this business on a Thursday evening & asked a few questions b/c I would be starting grad school the following Monday. I spoke to Scott. He informed me that they usually have computers for 24 hrs. I was informed they would look over my laptop & inform me if it was worth saving or not. I informed him that I only needed an update to help my laptop move faster. I informed him that I would bring my laptop in the next day, around 6pm. Upon arriving, I walked to the front desk & Scott was present. I informed him that a new screen popped up on my computer. He informed me that he never seen it before but that Manny wanted to look at it. I believe that Scott did not know what this screen was so he wanted Manny to check it out because I had never even spoken to Manny and Scott did not even know my name at this point to have assumed that the 2 had previously discussed my laptop. As far as Scott, He gladly assisted. He stated that my laptop was still in great shape. He took my laptop, my power cord. He asked me to type in my contact info as well as my password for my laptop. I made sure to ask how much I was looking to pay. Scott stated that I would have a diagnostic run for 55 dollars. I asked if I would be called to say how much it was before it was fixed because I did not want to pay too much if it was not affordable. Scott stated that it should not be too bad & that no one had ever paid more than 199. I was informed that Scott would have the guys work on it. I informed Scott I would be adding antivirus once it was done. Scott stated that they did that for me. He printed me out a paper that did know state what would be done & I was not asked to sign. 2 days later, I spoke to Scott & asked for an update on my laptop. His words, "I don't know what you're talking about." I asked if he could look up name name. He found me. I informed him that I was told 24 hrs & it had been over that. I also informed him that I made sure to note that I was starting my MSW program on Monday doing online classes & would need my laptop. I would not have been as impatient if I was initially told the amount of time. I would have went to another establishment if I knew it would take longer. I inquired if he could inform me how much longer I would have to wait, Scott said no & there had yet to be any updates & when a technician looks at my laptop, I would be notified. 2 more days went by & I called again. I spoke to Manny. I asked if my laptop was ready. Manny stated no. I informed him that I was informed 24 hours & asked him if the current wait that I was experiencing was normal. He stated yes. He always stated that my laptop was currently being ran & it was on a memory test. Manny stated that he would have a tech contact me it was done. 3 days go by & receive a call from Manny. He informed me that the scans showed nothing but a Trojan/malware sitting in my downloads. I was informed that a free antivirus had been added. Again, Scott had informed me that they add an antivirus. Not a WEEK trial. I was then told that it is an old computer, I believe it is only about 5 years old and that it is nothing they can do to make it run faster. This means basically only the diagnostic was run. Manny stated that the I could buy & SSD situation and they would add it to make my computer 4x faster. I asked how much it was. Manny said he 'thinks' it's about $50-60. I declined. I go to pickup my laptop & I am informed that I have to pay $99. I informed Scott that I was never contacted for the final cost. I did not have the choice to consent to the service. To sum it up, Scott stated that I do not have to pay b/c they only want customers that value their service. I offered to pay my 55 dollars two times. I informed Scott that I was not trying to argue but wanted them to have better communication. I cannot believe a CEO would run his business in this manner. If you could not fix my laptop, why am I being charged as if you did? Overall I am just very upset that I could not even have a conversation with Scott without him being defensive. I offered to pay for what I received, also to note he stated that his business was a small business and not a large corporation. Manny also stated that you have to pay the techs for their time. Their time is not the issue, especially when I was informed that it would be 24 hours and not a full week or so. It is the company's responsibility to pay hourly, not the customer. There should be a flat rate and no speaking of what the techs need to be compensated for. I try to support local businesses but sometimes you have to settle for the big guys. read more

These guys are fantastic! They were the ones who came to my aid when my computer crashed suddenly and explained everything to me that I needed to know about caring for my PC, and keeping it safe and clean. They are very patient and knowledgable. I love that they can put anything too 'tech' for me to understand in layman's terms. I feel their prices are very reasonable and if you tell them how much you have to work with, they are happy to work with you, or offer you several cheaper solutions. I would never let any other person touch my PC to fix it beyond the Computer Guys. read more

This team have been my "go to" computer service source for 10+ years--for my business and my personal needs. Scott, Manny and their folks have been there for emergencies, routine and upgrade needs---never failed me---when I was super-stressed or just needed some planning advice. These is a true "class act"--down-to-earth, honest, reliable, fair, smart and practical--and I'm not always easy! They are patient with a a guy who is not a "natural" at IT stuff--I get edgy and anxious and they know how to explain things to me and then get the problem solved quickly and efficiently. They are awesome. I had two laptops that needed repair. The one they fixed in no time at all and I am thrilled with the results. For the other one they suggested that I send it back to the manufacturer because it should be covered under my warranty. It was and they saved me $$$$. Mike was super! read more

My toshiba laptop was getting blue screens, running slow, and it had a host of other issues. Mike got it running excellent in a day and a half. But, my usb ports were failing as well. He was very considerate and mentioned that it would be better for me just to replace the laptop. He advised me on lenovo and so far I like it very much! I took it in and I was assigned to Jeff. He really helped me out. He transferred ALL of my data, software, and even backed it up on an external hard drive a western digital which I found out was very good. He advised me on getting malwarebytes for protection which only costs like $30.00 and its a one time fee. Also, my new settings are awesome! I never have to see un wanted advertisements that slow down my browsing. I'll spare you more details. However, if you want to get honest advise and reasonable pricing. Go there! These guys want to have you as a long term customer. They will even do remote sessions with you to trouble shoot any issues with their work. Don't go somewhere were they will talk down to you and take your money. See Jeff at the Computer Guy! read more
