You have no idea what my budget is, my capacity, my commitment to this... As someone who, in another era of her life, was a VP of sales, I understand having to allocate one's energy and creative resources accordingly--there are lots of time wasters out there; but I also know enough that you can never assume too much about a client until you've had a proper conversation with them. At the very least, follow-up with your non-proposal proposal--many clients I assumed wouldn't bring any proper offers often surprised me and sometimes became my best clients. I felt she took no time to get to know me or my needs, assumed whatever was convenient for her to assume and got off the phone as quickly as possible. I've still yet to receive my non-proposal proposal--a week later. If she were too busy to take on new clients or simply uninterested, I would have no issue: honesty speaks volumes about character, integrity and work ethic rather than unprofessional disregard.

They are much more interested in getting all they can from clients than delivering on their promises. Avoid at all costs.
