I went into the PF about 20 minutes before they were supposed to close and asked for 7 pretzel dogs. I was half expecting them to apologize and to tell me they were out for the night, but instead he told me no problem. What really impressed me was when he checked on the few that were ready, he told me they were rock hard so he'd need to make me fresh ones if I could wait 15 minutes. I had time so I didn't mind waiting, and honestly really appreciated he was honest that what was already left weren't any good. I feel like many places would have just gave me the hard pretzels in an effort to get out of there so they could close. I was able to have one of their large rivet party trays at an event I attended. I had these before at other locations and they never disappoint. The pretzels are soft and not too salty, but just the right amount. When they sit around for a while, they tend to get hard, but when microwaved for a few seconds, they taste brand new. The key to these are also the dips that come with them. I was able to have the salted caramel, brownie batter, spicy brown mustard, and cinnamon butter. They are all outstanding. I have never tried the salted caramel and brownie batter, but they were superb. The cinnamon butter had a great texture and definitely my favorite. Will I go back? Easily. read more

It's a strip mall pretzel shop in central New Jersey. What's with the public harangue over lousy service? I don't get it... I never expected service right out of the Michelin Guide or a nod of approval from Jeeves the butler and wonder of wonders, I didn't get it. This is one of those places that I really want to give a good review, but can't. I've been here a few times before and the pretzels are good but the service is awful. Today's experience was no different....except I didn't get any pretzels. I had a covid-craving for some Philly pretzels and took the ride to Howell after verifying online that they were open. Out front they had a sign for curbside pickup, "10 pretzels for $5"! Sweet! Of course, no one answered the phone and there was no one at the counter. We waited at the curb for a while then left. We get the Large Rivet Party Tray with three dips ($42) for parties every time. It's always a hit!! The pretzels are delicious and leftovers can be frozen and retoasted. Okay first off this place has amazing pretzels; some of the best I've ever had; however, they are a couple of problems. Before mentioning they bad things, let me mention some positives. The pretzels are amazing and their dips are amazing too. I love the cinnamon, chocolate, and cheese dips that best. Furthermore, if you call in advanced to get a party tray, you will be the highlight of the party with this. But, sometimes if you walk in there, they run out of pretzels. Plus, they could be slow at times when getting them. So, I would recommend going here if you want to get pretzels for a party, just call in advanced so you aren't walking out empty handed. read more

YAY ME! so glad they opened last year- we visit at least once a month - since we always have something going on and now that summer is upon us... you can bet we will be placing our catering orders pretty soon, like THISSSSS WEEKEND!! yup. Love the jalapeno cheese dip and the honey mustard- no complaints on service they are always friendly and have our order ready no matter how large the order. I have tried the pretzel dog - its okay not what I expected but if am a walk in customer and they are in the middle of making pretzels because they ran out, and I was a slacker on ordering ahead of time--I'll nosh on one to kill time and watch whatever is on the TV. All in all a great deal for what you pay and yes it gets busy and packed so just order ahead of time- also the pretzels freeze well so you can always have some later if you have left overs. read more

Always great service. Came here and ordered pretzels for the family. Just out of the oven hot and fresh. I have ordered party platters a few times and ordered the large dips. Great honey mustard, butter creme and cinnamon dips. When I had left overs from the rivet trays, I put the remaining rivets in a ziploc and froze them. Took them out when the kids wanted a snack and heated them up. They were great!! read more

Wow! Talk about horrible customer service! I called to place an order and was told, even though they take orders, I could not place one. I was told to go in wait on line then wait for them to finish all of there other orders before they would start mine and they wouldn't even make what I wanted they would only make rivets. When I asked about how long I would have to wait, the girl started yelling at me that she didn't know I would just have to wait and see, that she was too busy to even answer my question. With employees like that who needs enemies! Hopefully the owners of this store aren't trying to make any money! Good news / Bad news. The good news: it's a hit at parties for kids and adults. The bad news: it you do not preorder -- it's a ripoff! I preordered a full party tray (3 hour notice) -- $30. Two weeks later - when I called the phone went to voice machine -- so I drove to the shop. There they told me without 24 hour notice I could only have a 1/2tray -- for $25!!!!!! Yeah -- a full tray for $30, and a half tray for $25---or I could get two 1/2 trays for $50!!!! I did the math and this place gets a failing grade for customer service and consistency !!! I hate to slam a small business owner -- but customer service is not there main deal here -- adios, philly pretzel -- I will spend my money where it buys customer service! read more

Great product but not so great customer service! The "manager" Travis was not very pleasant after we were unable to pickup our order due to a family emergency! I have since visited the store and spoke with Travis and cleared up the customer service issue. They work very hard and deal with some undesirable individuals so I can understand the stress factor! The pretzels are average and the customer service is horrendous. Having worked in food service/customer service for years, I can tell you, the staff at this location do almost everything wrong with regard to customer service. Went to the store as a walk-in customer on Saturday right after the July 4th holiday. It appeared they had plenty of staff (8 people) on-hand but it didn't seem like they knew how to handle putting together more than one order at a time. I asked to buy a large tray and was told that since I'm a walk-in customer the most I would be allowed to order was a small tray. Ok, fine, I order a small tray. I'm then told by the cashier that my order would take 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Twenty minutes later I asked if my order would be coming out soon. I was then told by another employee that I would have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes. When I said I had been told it would be about 10 to 15 minutes 20 minutes ago I was advised (with attitude) I should have been told it would take 15 to 20 minutes. Well, that still means my order should have been ready. Ok, no problem, I realize making a lot of pretzels at one time is not an exact science for some people. So, I wait another 15 minutes and ask again. At that point I'm told my order will be out in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later I ask again. This time I'm told my order will be out in 7 minutes. Right after I'm told this, an employee from the back comes up and tells everyone in the store (about 7 customers waiting for their orders) how he's been there all day and how hot it is in the baking area where he is stationed. He basically goes on to say we should think about how rough he has it and not be bothered by the fact we have to wait for a prolonged period of time for our orders. I'm not sure anyone appreciated that. Finally, approximately 10 minutes later, I get my order and I'm out the door. I should also point out that as all of this is happening to me, there are at least three or four other customers in the store going through the same routine with the staff that I am going through. And, it wasn't just walk-in customers having this problem. It was people who had pre-ordered online to pick-up their order too! Honestly, I understand that problems pop-up and sometimes a food service business will get insanely backed-up. If this is the worst thing that happens to me in my life moving forward I'm doing pretty good. However, there are a lot of ways this could have been handled more professionally by the staff. I won't be coming back to this location or recommending it to anyone anytime soon. One bright spot in this was the cashier did take the initiative to offer the customers who had been waiting there for an hour a complimentary pretzel. This was at least a nice gesture under the circumstances. read more

Just got a regular pretzels and tried there dips(2 for $1) buttercream and honey mustard. For 2.50 it was a good deal and now back to laundry :( read more

WOW EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wanted a tray but didn't realize I had to order it in advance (my-bad). I was going to buy boxes of rivets instead, but the manager agreed to make a half tray for me while I waited, which I thought was so nice! I thanked him and told him I'd be happy to wait, and he said he would make me a full tray! He was super nice! And he even carried it out to my car for me! He explained that I should keep the "vented" top open so they didn't get soggy, and explained that I could freeze them or warm them in the microwave with a wet paper towel.
