Big pretzel wasn't soft as advertised. Good nuggets and quest cheese dip. Hubby liked pretzel wrapped smokies.

Place was busy but moved thru the line with ease. Pretzels were hot and very good. We were very happy with this place on our first visit.

Positives: Great Quality Dogs and Charming Ambiance…read more Areas For Growth: Other Ingredient Quality, Meal Price, and Brand Awareness This place has the makings of a hole in the wall spot I would be proud to show to visitors. Unlike others, I think Dog On It is actually easy enough to find; there is a cheerful, striped awning and a couple of tables with stools. There is no inside beyond the kitchen. A two for one meal deal on Groupon ($11 instead of $23) brought us here for a mid-week lunch. We ordered ahead and were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived to pick up at the 18 minute mark and our meals were ready for us. The only drinks available were a bottle of water, Coke, and Diet Coke. A meal is a drink, fries, and the hotdog. Oddly, I think the hot dogs are worth their price, but the combos are really not a deal. I would buy my drink elsewhere. I ordered the Mac Dog and my partner ordered the Philly Dog. The Macaroni and Cheese on the Mac Dog was tasty and they allowed me to substitute the Bacon (I'm just not a fan) for Grilled Onions. We both loved the hotdogs and thought they were incredible quality for what is essentially street food. Our biggest issue was the buns. They were smaller than the actual fixings really required and their spongy consistency did not really hold up to the eating process. They were too soft and weak. These are the same hot dog buns you would buy on a trip to Walmart. The fries had great seasonings/salt, but something about them makes that seasoning just fall off. They have the potential to be great if that is fixed. Overall would return and love the character it brings to The Grove neighborhood.

Delicious! Tried the Harvest dog here as part of a Yelp event and fell in love!…read more I live close to the Grove and had no idea this place even existed. So happy I got to try it. I had the Harvest Dog with some red hot riplets. The hotdog was the perfect amount of salty and sweet! It was fresh, warm and flavorful. There is a lot on the menu that I still need to try. As for location, it was not the easiest to find, but it is located right across the street from grace and meat! It has a cute take out window and the guy behind the window was friendly and inviting! Will def check this place out again?

We ate here twice while in town last week. First visit a Rt 66 tour bus was there so it was packed…read moreto the gills. The staff was incredible. Talk about grace under pressure. They kept the orders coming and never lost their cool. Always friendly. I had 2 Cozy's and shared some fries. It was So good!! On the second visit two days later thankfully it wasn't so crowded. Unfortunately I had a disappointing chili cheese dog. The chili wasn't even warm enough to melt the shredded cheese on top. The dog itself was borderline mushy. I was really surprised because my spouse loves their hot dogs. Next time I'll stick with the Cozy dogs that are fried perfectly, the coating is a little sweet, the dog is delicious and huge!

Ed Waldmire Jr. had a vision…read more.... In 1949, Ed made a permanent place for his hot dog wrapped in yummy battered bread. This was a dream that came to pass after selling them for 15 cents in June of 1946 at the Springfield Beach House and fair prior. Now this is a Route 66 must eat. You must try a piece of the past. While Ed was at Knox College and then after the war he was ready to give this cozy cur "prior name," before his wife called that a "no go!" Hence we have a cozy dog, much better name truly! And my goodness be ready to be blown away. It's spectacular! Make sure and get your stomach and mind together it's time to get cozy . Plus the building has changed and become even better. In 1996 the building moved to where the past has become a little less crowded . Where the Abe Lincoln motel once stood is where Cozy Dogs are now . Plus the connection to Lincoln rub his nose for good luck. The Walgreens sits next door on the corner where Cozy used to occupy. Now it's time to get your very own Cozy Dog and see all the Route 66 fun you have been missing all these days .

The first time trying Steve's Hot Dog in Chesterfield. I like the place. It's a vibe. Casual dining…read moredome different. They have arcade games. The specialize in glizzies. There are a wonderful variety of murals decorating the walls. Customer service was good. She took our orders. Later she brought it to our table. I had Cheeseburger in Paradise grilled cheese. It was much better than I expected. It is a grilled cheese sandwich with hamburger crumbles and onions. It has bacon but I got mines without bacon. Tge fries were crispy and just the right amount of salt. My coworkers got the chicken bites, and Gorilla Mav & Cheese Dog. They enjoyed it too. There's plenty of parking and they h Ave patio seating.

I got this bloated mess of a hot dog (if you can call it that). Everything on the menu is just so convaluted. The buns are so thick and gives off more sub sandwich/burrito experience. Even the most basic order: Hot Dog (ketchup/mustard) somehow misses the mark. ***No issue with the service, vibe, ambience. All those things worked for me. I think the business just needs to be scaled down, and return to it's roots. When it was just Steve at his umbrella hot dog stand***
