They used to be stuffed with cream, but now they have half the filling and too much dough. Why did you change a good thing? Linda, please change the cream donuts back to their original style and stuffed with cream. This is the main reason we make the trip here a few times a year.

I had the beef stew which came with a beautifully made French baguette. The beef stew was incredible. It had a unique flair that I wasn't expecting, but was delicious. The restaurant itself is small with a seating area in the back that is always packed because of how popular it is. Definitely worth trying!

I have now sampled the button holes, the glazed and jelly donuts, and some of the sweet potato pie. Why the hell did I wait this long? I'll just give you my exact quote while tasting the button hole for the first time in their shop: "MMMMM... to hell with Krispy Kreme!" And my wife's exact words when i brought them home... "We are never going to Dunkin Donuts again!" My favorite donuts in the Philly area in recent years have been Beiler's in Reading Terminal. These are right there with them. I'm calling it a tie overall. But the glazed donuts might be better than anything Beiler's has if that makes sense. They make Krispy Kreme look like a two day old Wawa donut. Lawd have mercy! Get there early and don't expect them to have everything you want. They're small and they get sold out fast. But get whatever you can when you're there and just love it. As I was writing this I also took a bite of the Boston Cream donut. My wife and I agree. It's not too sweet which is actually perfect. They seem to know just how much sweetness works here. They're smart. I won't wait years to go back again. I promise.
