The most frustrating part came at the end of the meal when it took more than 25 minutes to receive the check. When it finally arrived, it was delivered by a manager in a manner that felt dismissive rather than hospitable. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity had already been added to the bill. While I understand the practice in some situations, it felt particularly disappointing given the level of service we received throughout the evening. MATŪ serves outstanding food, and that is what earns this review more than a few stars. However, hospitality is about more than what comes out of the kitchen.
