This place was not what we thought by seeing the signs. We thought we had yummy phillys coming and we got processed beef and frozen heated up chicken. We literally had one night and threw out food away and decided to walk out. I am pregnant and didn't feel the food was safe for me to even eat after the smell and texture. read more

Had to try this place to satisfy my cheese steak craving. I ended up disappointed as they use ground beef instead of the original style of the thinly sliced beef. This made the sanwitch taste salty. Also when ordering, if you don't specify a sizen they will just charge you for the largest size. On the other hand, their curly fries is good. I use to work in the area and had Philly Connection twice probably within the past 2 or so years, guesstimate though and the enjoyment of food is different eating at home compared to being on a lunch break, in my own opinion. I was shopping for something next door and it was lunch time so I decided to stop here to grab something for the wife and I. The subs, meh it could of been better and I hope the subs in Philly do not taste like these because I'm sure that's what they are known for. I also don't believe I ordered a small portion of fries since the menu seems to only have one size, but as you can see from my picture there was more empty space in the fry sleeve than fries itself. The staff was extremely friendly the restaurant was clean and the service came with a smile. I paid for my meal and by the time I put my hat down and got my soda the young lady was telling me my order was complete. I was thoroughly satisfied with the quality of the product I received. Nice place. Staff was nice and fast. Chicken parmigiana sandwich was decent. But the Philly sandwich wasnt up to par. That meat either was old or not seasoned. So we went here based on some mixed reviews, just wanting to try something different. The place was empty. The cashier was not friendly: no smile or enthusiasm. When we went to get drinks every single soda was flat, literally every one of them! I ended up getting tea, which was pretty good. Our food came shortly and it looked good. The chicken was seasoned well but nothing else had flavor. I also thought that the chicken would by chopped in cheesesteak fashion however it was not. The chicken was in strips. There was nothing delicious about the meal, not even the cheese! The curly fries were hot which is a plus, but they were fried a bit too long as they were hard. The atmosphere was dreadful. Being from South Jersey and yes we now our Phillly Cheesesteaks! This was a reminder of how i miss home. Active Duty Navy on assignment out of my element, this place was awesome. When i walked in i was a little scared being the only one in the place, i oredered the 10" mushroom and fries to go. Less then 5 minutes i was out the door. Disgusting! And not even talking about the food itself. I went in here today for the first time with my husband, who is a cook and knows a thing or two about proper sanitary techniques when handling food. We left before even getting our meal. The cashier, a tattooed male, went from handling money at the register to handling ready-to-eat food products. He did not wash his hands in between, and even worse, he didn't even wear gloves. Then in the midst if that, he kept touching his face, which was full of sweat, and his hair, which was incredibly greasy, all to go ahead and touch food again...without gloves. Geno's and Pat's in Philly have nothing to fear here, although I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at what I did get here after reading the reviews for the other location of this chain cheese steak factory, the meat was uninspired but the portions and toppings were more than enough to satisfy. The decor is minimalistic more like a Krystal or a Stand-N-Snack in the good old days than a modern fast food joint today very clean but uninspired . Today the flavor was meh and for the two "phillys" and two small fries for almost $20 I would have been better off buying scratch offs. I have a 3 year old daughter who wanted my fries, so I obliged.
