Well this place is legit! Great tasting food. They use lots of well seasoned meat and the bread is awesome and appears to be freshly made. My first visit, I went with their chipotle Philly and man was it good. Definitely spicy with the fresh jalspeños, but great overall flavor. So much so that I went back the next day to try the original with onions, peppers, mushrooms and whiz. Once again, that one was a hit! My wife had the buffalo chicken Philly on our first visit and even though definitely not anything originally from Philly, it was darn tasty and the buffalo sauce was perfect in both our opinion. Now the surprise item for both of us turned out to the French fries! They are deliciously crispy and seasoned to perfection. I love the extra crispy pieces that came with them. A regular order comes with every sandwich so that is a nice touch. You can upgrade them to a cup where they add whiz cheese, bacon bits and sour cream. Delicious, but only if you feel like indulging, because the regular fries are awesome. The place has a nice decor and a really nice covered patio area outside if you don't mind a little traffic noise. The staff was friendly enough. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. Service is pretty fast overall. Ordering takeout took about 15-20min during lunch time including the line wait. It was about 10min when ordering in during the evening. Best Philly I've tried in the RGV.

We stopped in and had a very good lunch! We walked in right when they opened at 11am and the staff greeted us after a few minutes of looking at the menu. They were clearly still getting ready for the day so no big deal on the wait. I went with the Buffalo Chicken Philly and fries in a cup. It arrived within 5-10 minutes and was hot and fresh. We were expecting the portions to be ridiculous and everything to be extremely messy but that wasn't the case at all. The sandwich was the perfect size and the side of fries were easy to eat with a fork. A side of ranch would have been a great addition for this meal. Their milkshakes look incredible but the menu showed so many things that they were out of. It was kinda comical how many sticky notes were on the menu with arrows showing what would be missing if you ordered this shake. Overall, friendly staff, cleaning dining room, and delicious food. We will definitely be back.

Came here for my first time and I loved it so much I am literally in the parking lot writing this review! From the customer service, to the food and the restaurant itself, everything was phenomenal. I was greeted when I walked in, the girl helped me understand the menu, gave me some recommendations and I tried them all! Absolutely loved this place! Another positive for me was the music playing. This place is a 10/10 recommend for sure!

Really nice experience for my first time. I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to cheesesteaks so I ordered the original. The meat was very tender and well seasoned. The fries in a cup were a nice upgrade and delicious. They have a nice outdoor seating area which I was able to enjoy since the weather that day was mild. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. Definitely worth a visit.

Every time I visit the Valley I go here to get the Philly A1 it's the Best. The customer service is pretty good as well. Best Subs in the Upper Valley!

I've never tried the food here but the milkshakes are my favorite. The actual shake is not too sweet so it's easy to finish. Me and my boyfriend shared one and filled us both up. The cheesecake on top is good and in general a good desert for two (or even one!)

I have been to McAllen TX ... and have even eaten there (1 of 2)…read more This is yet another one of those places you've been to or experiences you've had that seem sort of surreal because you would have never imagined being here. I was in McAllen for a day or two when I spent some time on South Padre Island. Enter Sweet Paris Creperie and Cafe. It's in what seems to be the area's biggest shopping mall and on the side closest to the 2 Expressway and its frontage road, and very close to the airport. I went in one evening and the mall was hopping. You will immediately see this understated store and restaurant ... a French creperie. (I don't remember where to put the circonflexe, accent grave, and accent aigu from 3 years of Catholic high school French, nor am I going to look for them on the keyboard.) So, while a little different from the other chain goings-on in this area, Sweet Paris is tastefully decked out. Crepes tend to be slightly expensive in general. It's all about marketing ... I'm going to sell you something "French" and charge a little more for it. However, I was very hungry. I would be ordering 2 crepes - a dinner crepe with chicken and a dessert crepe with Nutella. Both of the crepes were very good. They offer quite a few options on their menu. From the photos, I saw that they have these "nifty" coffees with a foam design shaped like the Eiffel Tower, but I would not be partaking later in the evening. The service was good. Most people in the Rio Grande Valley tend to be more polite than in most American places I've lived or visited. The interior is very clean and inviting and you should definitely eat in. The mall is so popular, which is a good thing these days, that I had to go out toward the edge of the parking lot to get a space. There was also one of those "blue lights" (not as in a "blue light special") positioned in the parking lot ... and I don't see those too often. Like everything else in this area, things and places are spacious and spread out. But let me get back to Sweet Paris Creperie and Cafe. The crepes here were the real deal. Again, they were indeed good. I also like that, in this smaller urban area, they offer a unique concept like this, hence I'm going with 4 stars for this restaurant.

When I went in, the restaurant was almost deserted, with only 1 policeman taking a break, I think. No-one was working the take-out window and no-one was behind the counter to greet me and take my order. After about a minute of waiting, a male employee appeared behind the counter, but did not greet me nor acknowledge my presence in any way. It looked like he was making a sandwich for himself. I did not say anything to him, but just continued to wait. Finally after several minutes of watching him, I finally asked him if there was anyone to take my order, to which he said, "uh no. She's in the bathroom." Then at around 12:15 p.m., after waiting for a full fifteen minutes to order, she finally emerged behind the counter, and asked me what I would be having. Still no smile, still no greeting. I told her I had decided not to order anything, and that I did not appreciate how I was being treated at Subway. Immediately the male employee told her not to worry that "he has no patience." I then left your restaurant. At no time did I yell at anyone nor even raise my voice. But I have never felt more disrespected at anytime anywhere in the Valley. I have lived here for 44 years. I was a school teacher and administrator here. I retired here in 2001, and my wife and I still reside in McAllen on Hawk Ave. Sincerely, Michael Bell drmichaelbell@hotmail.com
