Ok so I had pretty awful luck on tires one day. I got new tires and was referred here by America's tire. I drove passed it twice. It's right behind Classic Tattoo. There is a parking lot behind with several businesses that I had no idea about. First off this place is 50 dollars which is incredibly reasonable. I'm used to paying $100+. It's first come first serve. So no appointments. That's ok, I went early enough, there was one car ahead and it took about 60 minutes total which was such a relief. The owner is really straight to the point and I like that. I'll be back for every alignment that I need. It's a great price, quick and convenient. I had a great experience with Phillip's Undercar and please believe me, I was a bit skeptical because between the two places I was looking into, Phillip's had 4 stars and the other, which shall remain unnamed had 5. I somehow found myself in the position of having a tire that was so severely worn that the seam was split and my mechanic could not believe that I was commuting from to Industry on this tire for 3 weeks and lived to tell the story. After removing the 2 front tires for me and having me take them to America's Tire Company to be replaced, he remounted the tires and told me to take the car immediately and have an alignment performed and that if the guys doing the alignment tried to talk me into $2,000 worth of front end work to laugh at them and walk out. I was actually expecting this to happen...been there, done that. Now, between Phillip's Undercar and the other shop I was considering, there was a $50 price difference, after the coupon that America's Tire gave me for Phillip's, when they recommended them. Since sister girl just lost her job and was having to work a low-paying temp assignment, she decided to risk it on Phillip's and see what could be done. I took my car over there straight from the mechanic. The employee who helped me said it would take about half an hour (wow...that's pretty fast.) Since I needed a new printer (to print resumes since I no longer had a job), I told him I would come back for the car in 45 minutes because I was going to run to Best Buy and already knew which printer I wanted. At this point he asked for my phone number, "just in case he couldn't align the car properly for some reason" and mentioned that the car I own tends to have tire rods that go bad. My first thought was, "here we go." I went to Best Buy, convinced that my phone would ring at any moment and I would be told that my car couldn't be aligned unless I had a million parts replaced. No such call ever came. I returned to the shop to pick up the car, paid my $40 and went happily on my way with a newly aligned car that I no longer had to fight to keep from running off to the right side of the road! The workers were friendly and professional and it's been just about a month and the alignment is still doing great. As a woman, I appreciate that they didn't try to rip me off because we all know there are people out there who try to fleece you just because you're female and don't know diddly about cars. I would recommend Phillip's as a professional, inexpensive alignment shop that has competent workers, who know what they are doing! read more

Please understand that I am just an individual. The only reason I went there was because of the reviews on Yelp, but no one ever mentioned anything about repairs, just brakes and alignment. I hope my review can have some impact for people who think that the shop was great and want to take it for repair there. I just went to the shop today since I was having problem with car pulling to one direction. Previously I went to America's Tire to get all 4 tires changed because I went to Metro Honda in Montclair to do an alignment and was told that the tires needed to be changed. I did not want to drive far to Rowland Heights to get it fixed so I went there. The place was extremely hard to find since the shop was all the way in the back building. The mechanic came out and only inspected the car with his eyes for a minute and told me that I needed to replace the lower control arm for $260. What? He did not even raise my car and point out to me what problem it was! I was so skeptical and decided to leave the shop and started ask my friends for opinions. I hope my review here can help you guys to think twice about getting your cars repaired there. I think the shop was really unprofessional. It does not matter how cheap the repair was, I do not pay for unnecessary repairs that was not checked. Eye measurement can not tell anyone that lower control arm is bent since it is located under the hood, no matter how many cars the technician fixes a day. read more

The guy checked my alignment FOR FREE and gave me sound advice that saved me some money. I did call a few places before coming here, but Phillip's was the most affordable. If I had done the alignment, it would have cost me only $50 (Lexus). Some place by my house quoted me $80 over the phone. No thanks. This place is hard to find. Reasonable prices and fast, granted I only came in for an alignment based on the recommendation of the tire place. The alignment was only $40 and didn't need to use my coupon. I'll be back here when I need to do my brakes. They said I could bring in my own pads and they would install. Not many places will do that. Philip's Undercar is First Come, First Serve. No appointments required. The best time to get your car aligned is in the morning. Earlier the better. Make sure to call to see if they're open for that day or for how long you have to wait. Armando is your man to help out with your car questions. He was really helpful so be sure to ask for him. For non-luxury cars, it's simply $40. For luxury cars, it's $50. Other places charge $50 or even $99 for a non-luxury car...Quite questionably expensive. The whole process only took 20 minutes. You can sit inside on their leather couch while you wait. There's a TV inside too. They'll provide you a receipt and a summary result of what alignments were performed. Quick, easy, trustworthy, and convenient. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking to align your car. Advice: Always align your car after you get your tires changed on your car. Onwards, be sure to get your tires aligned once a year to extend the life duration of your tires from usually 45k miles to potentially 75k miles. Rotate your tires every 6k miles. I have taken my car here twice so far! This place is amazing! I drive a 2013 Honda Civic SI, after taking it to the dealer and being told it needed an alignment, I brought it to Phillips Undercar! The dealership wanted to charge me $80 for an alignment that it turns out I didn't even need! Phillips checks my alignment for free and print a report that confirmed that my alignment was nearly perfect. I recently took my car back last month for rear brakes. They had me out of there within 40 minutes of starting the work! This place is amazing and honest! I don't trust my car with just anyone. This establishment is great especially the owner here. It's first come first serve but i doubt you'll be waiting long. He did my alignment in under 10 minutes and comparing that to sears it'll take almost an hour to do. His price for alignment is so much cheaper too i paid $50 but if you look for his coupon it will cost you $39.99 until 11/01/16 I took in a 2000 camry and newer corolla and both are fixed right. Cool & easy going guy. I appreciate the fair alignment pricing. I paid $50 for 06 Honda Pilot vs $80 & up for other places. For stock vehicles, the toe adjustment is the only adjusting + steering wheel for most Japanese imports. Vehicle setup takes longer that the actual toe adjustment. Definitely recommend! read more

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Had my brake pads replaced and new rotors on the front (I warped them coming down Mount Baldy a while ago). Smooth as silk now. Since They don't open during the weekend and the opening hours are same as my working hours, I had to take 2 hours off to come here. I arrived at around 4:30PM and I was the only customer there. I told the guy that I need the alignment, He told me that he couldn't do it now and asked me to come back tomorrow. What the...? I wasted my 2 hours off just go there and got refusal.
