My auto technician said that the alignment of my car was off and told me to come here. Since They don't open during the weekend and the opening hours are same as my working hours, I had to take 2 hours off to come here. I arrived at around 4:30PM and I was the only customer there. I told the guy that I need the alignment, He told me that he couldn't do it now and asked me to come back tomorrow. What the...? I wasted my 2 hours off just go there and got refusal. The service is terrible. read more

Same day service. Aligned my 1956 F-100 truck with a mustang 2 front end that needed some extra tweaking. Impressive computer alignment equipment. I would definitely recommend his service. read more

Went here for an alignment abot a month ago, they quoted 40 minutes and only took 30. $40 out the door no crazy extra quotes. Then a couple days ago our car started making a strange sound, I was worried we were looking at $300 in repairs but the guys here put it right up in the rack and tightened a loose bolt, in less than 30 minutes our car sounded amazing again and they didn't charge us a dime! I knew it was easy for them but they could have charged labor and they didn't and that's rare! We will be back when its time for breaks! And its not hard to find if you know the area, nor is it "way in the back" its right behind classic tattoo which can be seen from the street. Have recommended and will continue to recommend these awesome guys!! read more

I was recommended here for alignments by a major tire shop that didn't perform alignments. It's hidden in an off-street auto-service-park, so it's easy to miss. I got a 4-wheel alignment on a BMW sports sedan, surprisingly for $40 instead of $100+ at the major tire shops. And even more surprisingly... the alignment was right-on, especially for BMW which does funky things with their alignments. Best alignment I've had, especially at a value price. read more

Come here directly from Costco Montclair after got 4 brand new tires. Service is fast and friendly. Price is great. I will be back for future alignment needs. read more

I took my wife's 2004 Chevy Tahoe to Phillips Undercar and let me tell you that it was a great experience! Joel is a cool dude and does it quickly and is very inexpensive! You cannot beat the price and the service. He's a laid back guy that does the work promptly for you. Definitely taking all of my cars to get alligned there and he also does brake jobs. His shop is a little hidden but don't let that fool you! He's a must to keep in business and honest. read more

Has always done a great job when working on my vehicle's. From drive axle replacement, wheel bearing or alignment, very reasonable prices and good work. read more

Today I had my 69 Ford Torino aligned at Phillip's Undercar. I chose them based on the reviews I read . Joel is great to work with, when working on an older car some shops aren't sure about it. Joel fully understood the old suspension and even worked with the modifications that I have made. I'm very happy with the work and the price was reasonable too. Chris read more

These guys are great, very friendly and professional. I was sent here by recommendation of another shop that happened to be too busy at the time and said these guys are the best and do good work on cars that were also lowered. I got there and they saw me right away. They pointed out the issues on my car to me and would not align my car before I fixed it (made no sense to do so anyways!). After I fixed my car (DIY!) I came back and they were able to quickly align my car. I was in and out in roughly 30 minutes. Highly recommended place. read more

These guys are very knowledgeable. I thought my alignment was off, but they checked my car and showed me my tire was defective and about ready to blow out, so they saved my life! The workers are cool people, very friendly! Price for an alignment is cheapest I have found. read more

It was really pleasant experience in Philip's. The service was accurate, exactly what I needed. He was kind and honest. Thank you. I definitely recommend this place. read more

It's a small shop and Joe was a nice guy. I had my four tires changed in Montclair Costco and went to the shop days after for 4-wheel alignment. The shop is FCFS basis so you don't need to make an appointment at all. Joe got my car done within 30 mins and only charged me $50. I have another car needs 4-wheel alignment next week and I will take it there for sure. read more

I am so happy that I took my vehicle to Phillip's Undercar today. My ailignment was seriously off and I was worried about how bad it was going to be. The guy I spoke with could not have been any nicer and had the work done in less than 30 minutes. He also gave us a great price even with the ailignment being so bad. This is definitely the place to go if you need work done. read more

Came in for an alignment and had a good experience. First there was a visual inspection after mentioning that i added a sway bar and felt like i threw off the alignment since it pulled to the right a bit. After, it was explained that the toe and steering was off. It took about 30 minutes for the alignment to be done which was a decent time especially being early morning while setting up. Laser alignment gave an accurate measurement. At the end, i was given the transcript including the prior measurements, the recommended and the new measurements of the alignment. I feel my car does have better steering and handling now. read more

Great place to get an alignment, including lifted vehicles. Joel was able to get my 4Runner done within half an hour without an appointment. Feel free to call ahead to see how busy he is. Great price as well. read more

The owner is totally fantastic. I saw the reviews and decided to give the shop a shot. I thought it was the shocks, but Joel determined it was a sway bar and link. The price was totally awesome and the car is running fantastic. No drama, extras or long wait. I'm coming here and recommending Joel to my Upland circle of friends. read more

We have been using Phillips Undercar for years. Great service at great prices. Quality work. Recommended.

Excellent service, quick in n out on my C7 Corvette, This is where I am recommending all my friends go.

Just got new tires at Costco and they recommended alignment soon. This was painless! Got there in am when they opened. Waited for only one person ahead and it was done quickly. Nice guy! read more

Excellent! They quoted a good price to install struts I already had on hand for my Prius (labor only). Did a great job in one day with no hassles. I also had axles and hubs which I was going to have them install but they test drove the car and didn't think the vibration problem was related to axles or bearings - they would have made more money if they just installed them! Sure enough, the highway speed vibration and all other suspension problems were solved by the strut replacement. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Best place I've found to get an alignment. The owner is very kind and straightforward. Best price I've found, especially for a lifted car that is also matched with amazing service. I will be bringing my 4Runner here for all my alignments in the future. The only thing you should be aware of is that it is tucked away in a lot after their move. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

Very impressed with Phillips Undercar!! Very honest and the price is right!! A very pleasurable experience!! ;-)

I went here originally for brakes and an alignment and I was impressed by the mechanic I had them do my AC too. Great prices and didn't push me for a bunch of extra work I didn't need. Finally found a good auto shop! read more

I can't give this Guy a rating because his service was beyond bad it is out right rude and he never aligned my tires correctly and refused to re-check his work. He came highly recommend by American tire in Upland but he sets the toe only & incorrectly...Total rip-off that cost me to repurchase new tires because the job was so bad it ruined my new tires on 1 side due to negative camber. read more

I've been coming here for the past 3 years and he's by far one of the best alignment guys. Just went to do an alignment at another shop because I happened to be there but I was not happy at all! I had to come here to get it redone. read more

How rare to find a mechanic that is honest and tells you there is nothing wrong with your car! Joel does good work at a fair price.

Had the front brakes done on our Lancer. Joel is honest and doesn't do anything unnecessary. He's aligned both our cars and no complaints. Thanks Joel! read more

went today because of their penny saver ad, relatively young group of mechanics, but got an alignment for 40$ their card machine wasnt working so had to pay cash, luckily i brought enough. seems trustworthy doesnt push for unecessary repairs and diagnose problems for free read more

I read the reviews on Yelp about Phillip's Undercar and last Friday I decided to give it a try. What a great place it turned out to be. I had front struts installed and an alignment and even though I hadn't made an appointment Joel took me right away. He finished in less than 2 hours and and his price was extremely reasonable. I went to him again today to have 2 cv shafts and SumoSprings installed and once again Joel took me right away and did a great job at a great price. Not only does the shop do great work at a great price but you get the added bonus of having the owner do the work and Joel is such a great person and a pleasure to deal with. I will definitely return when I need further work and I would recommend Phillip's Undercar to anyone looking for a top notch shop and reasonable prices. read more

I recently had my 2010 Corvette Grand Sport aligned by Phillip's Undercar. I asked to use my specs since from time to time I track the Vette. Most shops cannot do anything but what is factory. Joel was able to use my spec and now the car handles better than new. I would highly recommend this alignment shop. Great shop, fair price and good customer service. read more

Quality work done here. My bronco was all the way ducked up. All jokes aside they are very knowledgeable. Great equipment, the guy working there was great and did everything to assist me. If you are looking for a place to get your alignment done. Look no further read more

I referred a friend of mine who was looking for an alignment place. I went strictly by word of mouth referrals that a couple of people mentioned on another site which isn't Yelp. Then combined with what reviewer's are saying here on Yelp my friend felt pretty confident to take his car in today. "Joel did not charge a $40.00 fee like most people are saying. My friend did not get much of a greeting being that it was his first time there. My friend tried initiating conversation just to be friendly which in return nothing was really said but a couple of 'yeah's.. My friend did not get asked inside to have a seat, or anything at all... So much for friendliness. Whether or not anyone thinks it's important or not for these minor little details to be in place is a matter of opinion. I myself feel if you're going to be running a business that deals with the public then you should have your manners lined up enough as to at least have a good attitude toward your new customer and just don't treat them as if they are just another number. Especially when that new customer is relieved to have heard of an "honest mechanic". Attitude means more than you realize, sometimes it can steer you to choose a different business next time. So much for "word of mouth advertisement"... read more
