DO NOT GO HERE!!! This guy is a crook. I dropped off a weed wacker to have serviced. I should have known right then and there to not leave it on account of the appearance of his yard. It looks like a disorganized junk yard. I'm surprised the neighbors don't report him. Anyway, he told me to check back in a week. I called and got his voicemail. And called, and called, and called. He totally ignored my phone calls. This went on for weeks. I used my husbands phone one time and he picked up probably because he didn't recognize the phone number. He told me to stop over the next day. I stopped over to his house and he had a big snarly dog barking at me near his front door. I called from the street and SURPRISE! Nothing happened. Totally blew me off. If you want to drop off your small engine repair, go ahead. But I warn you, you will never see it again. read more

Felix did an excellent job on my (neighbors) Toro mower (we share). Not only did he replace the transmission at a very fair price, he went above and beyond and gave it a tune up on some other odds and ends. While he did not commit to having it done the next day, I got an email from him the following day that it was ready. He even cleaned it! While Felix is a not a shade tree repairman, he works under the shade of a tree 'al fresco' style. This might be off-putting for some folks but it didn't bother me. Felix used to be good a couple years ago. Here's how the last experience went. I contacted him and dropped off a generator in September. He said nothing for a month and a half. After continually sending him messages he finally said he was having a hard time finding parts. Then he ended the conversation and I didn't hear back. After another month I finally said OK, that's it, I just want to pick it up and be done with it. Didn't hear back from him. A couple times I drove over there and no one was home and the generator was not there. Finally in January I had to send him a message saying I was going to have to bring him to small claims court - he finally responded. He wasn't home, I had to wait for him to get home then he would call me. I said I can't wait around all day, let me know what time he expected to be there so I can plan. He said 8pm. Time comes and I send him a message to confirm I can head over. No answer. Next day, after more attempts to coordinate (my truck needed work done at the mechanic) all of a sudden there is no time, he says I have to get it Wednesday 10am, he is out of town after that. I finally made it over there and got the generator. What a nightmare. He simply doesn't care apparently about his business anymore. The delays I could have handled to a degree, but the communication, or lack thereof, was unbelievable. read more

Felix was awesome. Dropped off a backpack blower and a pressure washer. Felix quickly serviced the leaf blower and returned it. The pressure washer was beyond repair (not worth the expense) and Felix was upfront and honest about it. Using Felix is a no brainer! read more

This is the second time I have attempted to do business with this repair shop. Both times I have driven to the location where there are literally 100's of mowers, chain saws, blowers and weed eaters all laying on the ground in various stages of dis-assembly. I knock on all doors, no one at the location and I call the posted number at this web site and on the door at the location and I get a message that the box is full. My observations are that nothing is being done at the location. No one answers the phone. No one picks their messages since the mail box is full. DO I REALLY WANT TO LEAVE MY ECHO CHAIN SAW AND MY ECHO BLOWER AND MY ECHO HEDGE TRIMMER THERE TO BE TUNED UP AND EXPECT THEM TO BE REPAIRED OR EVEN STILL THERE TO BE PICKED UP LATER. I THINK NOT. NOT GOING TO TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS ONE. read more

Driving down dirt road I ran into Felix in his jeep who waved me down. Guess he saw the lawn mower in the back of my truck. Said he was closed b/c he had to go pickup a customers lawnmower. Got out of his Jeep, pulled my mower out on the dirt road & started it up. Said my flywheel was stuck. Stuck his finger up under the throttle housing & reset it. Fixed. Tried to give him some money but he said "next time". You don't get this kind of service from anyone these days. Would encourage anyone reading this to go to Felix. Felix did a fantastic repair job on my Toro self-propelled mower. I took it in a few weeks ago for a repair and he did a carb rebuild. Mower worked a couple of weeks, then wouldn't start again. Felix put on a new carburetor under warranty (a $65 part) and didn't charge me a penny. Mower now works like it was new. I've had mowers repaired in Austin for over 25 years, and have never had service like this. Feiix will have my mower repair business for life. If you live in Lakeway, Bee Cave, Steiner Ranch, or Spicewood, make sure you call Felix first. read more
