It's almost 100 years old so you can imagine the stuff that needed to be fixed. He's upgraded a spare room and turned it into a beautiful bedroom with closet, gave a us a real nice walk-through pantry, and many other small projects (i.e., new doors, garage door, etc.) And since my wife and I have moved to Charlotte, N.C. it's nice to have someone like Jon to be only a phone call/e-mail away to take care of our place. Even our renters love him! And not only does he do stellar work, but his referrals are great too. When we needed an electrician he referred Fidelity Electric and they were awesome. They weren't just on time, they were a few minutes early, the team was clean and organized, and the work is flawless. Curt, the owner, is an amazing individual and genuinely compassionate and kind. He will go over every option with you and doesn't leave out a single detail. I wish I could give more stars but unfortunately I can't. I know that I will only use C.D. for any home service I need because there is no point to looking around for other contractors, as these guys can do anything. I had a small concrete job on my back patio done, and it looks great. They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. All the workers were very nice and were incredibly hard working. I am…read moregoing to have to pay $3,500 to have the patio they built for us cleaned and re-sealed for the shoddy work they did. To go back to the beginning, the job was beyond annoying throughout, and looking back on my texts to see timeline for this review, during the job I had to resend almost every text at least twice to get an answer from Curt. Interestingly, when it was a question about payment, he'd answer a text right away! They finished a patio installation for us last June (2019). I noticed over the winter that the patio was extremely faded and had a white film on it. Emailed Curt, May 13, 2020. No response. Re-mailed him on May 16. No response, but I was just beginning a virtual class for a client on the following Monday 9:00 a.m. when he and another guy appeared out my window in my back yard. I called him when I was finished with the virtual class. Another guy I'd never spoken with answered Curt's phone, and confirmed the patio shouldn't look like that they could probably reseal it the following week. Great! A few days later I texted asking when that following week they thought they would redo it, so I would know when they were coming, have the shades down, etc. No reply. I texted 1.5 weeks later to check in. He replied "We haven't forgotten about you. We are super busy. Don't have an exact date at this time. Carey will reach out when we have an opening. Thank you." Really??? Subsequent reaching out to him has gotten no response and it's now August 14, three months later. (I would ask Curt, if he had a product, say a car that had a tarnished finish, and the seller had said that should not be that way and, "We can probably come out next week and fix it" and then they didn't show, didn't reply to texts, until finally, "We're busy. We'll let you know when we have an opening" how he would feel. And how he would feel when there still was no resolution 3 months later. You are never going to be less busy than you are right now. It's a matter of making it happen and honoring that this is something you are obligated to make right.) I gave up, and starting in mid-June I reached out to several other vendors to discuss what Mechling did wrong so this would happen, I had these other vendors come by, I discussed and considered options of what to do to remedy it, etc, etc taking lots of time and energy to fix something that Mechling should have handled. Bottom line is I am going to have to pay $3,500 to have the patio cleaned off and re-sealed for the faulty work they did. (Even though one vendor said Mechling was legally obligated to fix this since it happened within a year. I haven't verified this is true.) But at this point I don't trust them to redo it even if they would respond to me since asking them several times what they would do differently if they resealed, there was never a reply or a call to reach out and discuss the situation with me. Do not deal with this contractor.

I had a list of upgrades I wanted to make on my house from a 700 square foot deck rebuild to doors with dry rot and termites that needed to be replaced with brand new Milgard French doors and windows. I had gotten estimates from a few different companies from large, well known construction companies down to smaller ones but didn't make the move with any of them for various reasons. After my walk thru with Jeff I knew I had found the team to take care of the work. Jeff and his crew are real people with pride in their work. They are qualified and fair on prices. Jeff is easy to communicate with and always got back to me within the day. He is busy and moves quick but always took the time to sit down with me and explain his process. Him and his crew of Johnny and Evan, take pride in their work and truly want to give you a product you will be happy with. Another thing I loved is that they do one job at a time so when they say they are going to be there they are. They showed up daily at 7am, always on time and worked straight until 2pm. They got the work done in the time they said they would and for the price I was quoted. I would definitely recommend A Team Residential Construction. I am very happy with my 3 new doors, my large front window and my new deck. At the beginning of construction, we also found out I was pregnant so the pressure was on to get the house ready. Our home was a complete remodel, it went from farm country look to coastal contemporary with Asian influence. Our design preferences were inspired from our travels in Asia. We gave him photos from our favorite resorts and he was able incorporate the elements throughout the house. On a side note, we are not the easiest clients. We had special requests, a gazillion changes, sometimes hard to get a hold of, etc... They had to start the project and we were delaying them because my husband and I were both traveling, so they actually emptied our house and packed it up in storage units on their own. We didn't have to lift a finger. When we came back into the country, the house demolition started. I was impressed from the beginning. We have worked with other contractors before where you truly hate their guts after they do the work for you. This was not the case with KL9. The quality of work and attention to detail was top notch. The worst case scenario was that a new concrete counter would need to be considered in addition to a new sink if the counter was to crack. Once a date was set to start, all went better than anticipated! Because of some additional house work being done by a different work crew on the same day, there were multiple workers and equipment through the house but this didn't interfere with Tony's professional and focused work ethic.
