We looked at it and fell in LOVE!! I worked in banking for some time so turned first to PNC and after the guy dropped the ball BIG TIME we then called another mortgage broker (recommended by a realtor we had worked with previously), he ran our credit and found a HUGE error on our credit report. He was very indifferent and seemed not to care much. He told us once we had things straightened out to come back and he'd see if he could help us. We were heartbroken and really thought we were going to miss our opportunity to buy the home. A friend of mine then told me about Jessica Lyons from Federate Mort Corp and how incredible she was in helping her and her fiance' to secure a mortgage. I figured it was worth one last shot so I called her. First I have to say Jessica took customer service to a whole new level!!! It didn't matter what time it was (actually called me at 8-9pm and answering e-mails well passed 11pm. She too ran our credit let us know about the issue with the previous car loan (it reported as a REPOSSESSION instead of a trade-in/payoff and new car purchase) and immediately came up with a game plan on how to get it take care of. Rather than making us call all around and deal with what I felt was an overwhelming task she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get things taken care of. Before I knew it she was calling to tell me our loan was approved. Before this point she had already had me send over all of the conditions she thought they would need so basically we just had to decide if we wanted to take our 3.25 rate or take a slightly higher rate to receive a lender credit that we could put towards closing costs (because we did a VA loan we didn't need a down payment or PMI). We scheduled a closing, another impossibly smooth process being as my husband works insane hours we were able to meet earlier in the day to have him sign then later that evening they sent a traveling notary out all the way to Washington, PA to meet the sellers and sign with them. I honestly believe that Jessica's dedication to us and our loan is the reason we are in our dream home right now instead of still fighting with the credit companies and old finance company. I know that she had several loans in her pipeline that she was working on in addition to ours but I seriously felt like we were the only ones and we had her full attention. Words cannot express how thankful we were to have her referred to us. I will be telling all of our friends and family about her. On a side note, neither us or the sellers used a realtor and neither my husbands parents or mine were here to guide us along what can be an incredibly difficult process and Jessica was constantly looking out for us and proving that she was there for OUR best interest not just to close a loan. She even looked over our sales agreement and gave us advice along the way of what things were normal and what she felt was atypical so we didn't get blindsided at any point. As a first time home buyer, I was completely green to the process. I couldn't have asked for a better company to guide me through. With Prime Lending's help, I was able to take my home from a complete dark and dank gut-job to a warm, inviting space that people compliment the moment they enter. So, when interest rates dropped and I wanted to shoot for a lower monthly APR, I went back to Prime Lending. My refinance loan spanned the first year of the pandemic, when I unexpectedly and suddenly became unemployed. We had already gone through 99% of the process when this happened. Wow wow wow!!! Where to begin?…read more Jeff and his team made financing our first time as painless as possible. And since my wife is self-employed, that is DEFINITELY not what we had expected! We found Jeff because we were considering a home that needed a renovation loan. We ended up purchasing a different property with a conventional mortgage, but we stuck with Jeff and his team because they had been so amazing from the start. I am a veteran and was using my benefits to get a VA loan. The loan officer said that after reviewing my tax returns, they could no longer do the loan. I had asked this loan officer to review my tax returns prior to finding a house because I am self employed and I know that sometimes lenders get picky with self employed people. Well long story short, here it was a few weeks before closing and now suddenly there is a problem with how they are calculating my income! Apparently the loan officer either calculated my income incorrectly or did not know his own bank's rules. My accountant had given me Keith's name previously but I didn't call him at first because I had already applied with the other lender. I called him and explained the situation and I am glad I did. He was able to work up an approval based on the same income paperwork I gave the previous bank, he said it was because he has lenders that do not add their own stricter guidelines on top of the VA rules. They just follow the VA rules as they are written. I was also impressed about how he kept me in the loop as to how things were progressing. He was always available and answered all my questions. We were able to get the appraisal transferred from the other lender and all of the paperwork completed quickly. We ended up closing on time. He helped make a stressful situation less stressful. I would recommend Keith to anyone looking for a mortgage. I recommended one of my friends to call him recently.

Jim came highly recommended through several coworkers and a friend, so I had little doubt that things would go alright with the loan, but I was also amazed at just how smoothly things went. Having closed on a condo in late 2008 in Austin, and a few refinances on the condo (thanks, tanking economy!), I was accustomed to pretty painful processes of securing a mortgage. Perhaps 2008 is to blame. Perhaps Texas is to blame. Perhaps the condo is to blame. But, more likely, the mortgage brokers I used at the time just required a lot of hand holding and constant updating and it ended up being fairly stressful. Not with Jim! Things went so smoothly that I was concerned that something was wrong, because I wasn't being harassed for this document or that or told that something went wrong in underwriting or that they need some last-second certification or statement under oath or letter from Obama or Eye of Newt or who knows what.
