Wow wow wow!!! Where to begin?…read more Jeff and his team made financing our first time as painless as possible. And since my wife is self-employed, that is DEFINITELY not what we had expected! We found Jeff because we were considering a home that needed a renovation loan. We ended up purchasing a different property with a conventional mortgage, but we stuck with Jeff and his team because they had been so amazing from the start. From answering ALL of our many questions, to responding within minutes each time we reached out, to anticipating and heading off potential underwriting issues to avoid unpleasant surprises, they couldn't have been more helpful and professional. This team has true expertise! The PrimeLending team was so friendly, and genuinely excited for us as new Pittsburgh residents. They even went out of their way to coordinate an outdoor closing appointment amidst COVID concerns, and did everything possible to make sure we felt comfortable. Now that the process is over, we'll miss talking to Jeff, Katie, Anna, and Joe... some of our first friends in PA! If you are looking for a lender who truly cares about you and has your best interests at heart, look no further. Thank you for everything!!

The home loan world can be a foreign and imposing place. I feel very lucky that Prime Lending handled my loan, especially under the circumstances. As a first time home buyer, I was completely green to the process. I couldn't have asked for a better company to guide me through. With Prime Lending's help, I was able to take my home from a complete dark and dank gut-job to a warm, inviting space that people compliment the moment they enter. So, when interest rates dropped and I wanted to shoot for a lower monthly APR, I went back to Prime Lending. My refinance loan spanned the first year of the pandemic, when I unexpectedly and suddenly became unemployed. We had already gone through 99% of the process when this happened. Jeff was incredibly sensitive and understanding. Since I had already paid for a home appraisal, he said he would not charge me again when the time came. He kept his word 7 months later, when I was back to being employed in the fall and we once again started the refi process. As fate would have it, I got a better rate--so there were some silver linings to waiting, as well. In a business where money can make people jaded and unpleasant, Jeff is quite simply an honest and kind person. With his leadership, he fosters a team that instills confidence that you are making the right choices and can trust the people handling your loan. In general, Jeff's team was upbeat and responsive, and took the time to answer questions along the way. I would not hesitate to go to Jeff again or strongly recommend to others. Thanks Prime Lending!

Keith helped me close on my house after another lender dropped the ball…read more I was in the middle of purchasing a home and was using another lender when I received a call that there was a problem with my mortgage application. I am a veteran and was using my benefits to get a VA loan. The loan officer said that after reviewing my tax returns, they could no longer do the loan. I had asked this loan officer to review my tax returns prior to finding a house because I am self employed and I know that sometimes lenders get picky with self employed people. Well long story short, here it was a few weeks before closing and now suddenly there is a problem with how they are calculating my income! Apparently the loan officer either calculated my income incorrectly or did not know his own bank's rules. My accountant had given me Keith's name previously but I didn't call him at first because I had already applied with the other lender. I called him and explained the situation and I am glad I did. He was able to work up an approval based on the same income paperwork I gave the previous bank, he said it was because he has lenders that do not add their own stricter guidelines on top of the VA rules. They just follow the VA rules as they are written. I was also impressed about how he kept me in the loop as to how things were progressing. He was always available and answered all my questions. We were able to get the appraisal transferred from the other lender and all of the paperwork completed quickly. We ended up closing on time. He helped make a stressful situation less stressful. I would recommend Keith to anyone looking for a mortgage. I recommended one of my friends to call him recently.

He guided me through the entire mortgage process and ran through the numbers with me on a lot of houses to let me know the payments and the amount I would need for closing. I know I had a lot of questions and probably was kind of nervous about buying my first house but he was always patient and informative. His calm nature made me feel calmer. The whole process went smoothly from start to finish and wouldn't hesitate to use his company for my mortgage again. I told my brother to call Keith to help him buy a house and my brother says he agrees that everything is going well with his home purchase too.

Despite the backlog of processing at the various banks / title agencies / etc as everyone desperately sought to lock in low rates (2.5% fixed over 15 years), "Big Jim" Franco and his team guided us through the entire process. Because of their perseverance, we've been able to accelerate amortization of our home, and which put us on a sound financial footing.

Can getting a mortgage even be this easy?…read more I've been looking for a home in Pittsburgh since I moved here 2.5 years ago, and this last week, finally closed on a home and had a mortgage through Jim Franco at Welcome Home Finance. Jim came highly recommended through several coworkers and a friend, so I had little doubt that things would go alright with the loan, but I was also amazed at just how smoothly things went. Having closed on a condo in late 2008 in Austin, and a few refinances on the condo (thanks, tanking economy!), I was accustomed to pretty painful processes of securing a mortgage. Perhaps 2008 is to blame. Perhaps Texas is to blame. Perhaps the condo is to blame. But, more likely, the mortgage brokers I used at the time just required a lot of hand holding and constant updating and it ended up being fairly stressful. Not with Jim! Things went so smoothly that I was concerned that something was wrong, because I wasn't being harassed for this document or that or told that something went wrong in underwriting or that they need some last-second certification or statement under oath or letter from Obama or Eye of Newt or who knows what. Easy. As. Pie. The numbers were all correct. The closing happened on time. Oh, and I got a pretty good interest rate, too. Through the entire process Jim was responsive, answered my questions accurately, and was good at calming my nerves. I'd highly recommend!

Our plumbers happened to be coming next day to do some maintenance and they did check the gas lines in and out of the house and found absolutely no leaks. I am an agent and have always recommended a warranty to all my clients but have never been on the side as a buyer with a serious appliance issue. The gas smell wasn't always present but we noticed in February it was back and very strong. Called HSA after seeing the cooktop was covered but the print is so very small it's tough to actually see the fine print with normal vision. They sent an appliance company that we paid $100 for the service call. The guy was at my house for 5 minutes and said it was the gas regulator and he would replace it and come back I stopped using my stove before this because of the smell and the gas was turned off. Our appliance guy came back about 2 weeks later and replaced the part and turned gas back on and closed our service request. I went to use the stove (finally ) the next day and immediately smelled the strong natural gas again I reached out to the appliance company and they never got back to me so I called HSA and was told it was now a plumbing issue and the appliance company was out of the picture. A plumber was sent over a week later and he found a gas leak in the cooktop burners so gas off again and now back to appliance company to get new valves for the burners. It's now two months since I have had a stove to cook on and its was only going to get worse. Yesterday I received a call from a very rude and abrupt woman to inform me the parts for my cooktop are no longer available ! I didn't know how old the cooktop was when we bought the house but parts are discontinued. She then said the valves can be rebuilt with various parts the would take up to 14 weeks to be available to repair the stove. So another three and a half months until I can have a working cooktop. I told her I thought replacement might be a better option and faster since parts are already unavailable. She simply said my only option is to wait the 14 weeks or take a parting gift of $260. 00 that was the amount of the parts required to fix the stove. I spoke to 5 different people yesterday and one was worse that the next. They kept transferring me to people who insisted my stove can be fixed This is the worst customer service and company I have EVER dealt with after being promised our issues would be resolved. I do not have a stove and will never recommend a warranty company to any of my customers or friends They are NOT in the business of resolving any issues for buyers and sellers They are worthless and misleading in their claims to help anyone. Their entire platform seems to be collecting money for the service calls then the zombies in customer service enjoy denying any coverage at all. I spent $200 for the service calls and now they have offered us $260 as a resolve to close our claim. Beware and be smart and know what to expect ..... Nothing !!!!!
