    French Fries

I'm used to a much more Americanized fast casual version of Mediterranean food (which I also enjoy) but I am beyond glad I took a stop here. The food here is DELICIOUS! I've only done to go orders but the restaurant is nice and clean from what I've seen. The people working there have been polite and helpful each time I've gone. My most recent visit I ordered the Shrimp Tempura appetizer. The shrimp were good and I really liked citrusy Mediterranean dipping sauce was a nice tangy compliment to the shrimp. The shrimp were smaller than I would've liked for the cost and number of shrimp that you get. I'm pretty sure that I've gotten the King Tut Platter each time that I've eaten here, and each time I've been satisfied. The platter is served over a bed of rice and comes with three meats, a beef kabob, a chicken kabob and a kofta kabob, which is made of lamb. The meats are each good in their own right. They're so juicy and well seasoned that I honestly can't pick a favorite. Grilled onions, tomatoes and green peppers are the vegetables served with the platter. The vegetables are all cooked well and kept at the point of getting a nice grilled flavor while keeping the juicy freshness you want. The platters have side options of either a Cairo Salad, Tabbouleh Salad or French Fries. The fries are battered which of course as a nice extra flavor to them. Between the two salads I prefer the Cairo over the Tabbouleh. The Tabbouleh respectfully just feels like garnish but the Cairo is pretty good. The only thing that I don't care for in the platter is the pita bread. For me it has been drier and lacking in flavor but the first time I had it was much better than the last. By comparison, the hummus that comes with the order is really good and for me does a great job of uplifting the pita bread. I've also tried the Chicken Shawarma Platter via trying a friend's food. The food was really good and very flavorful but I did prefer the heartier sized pieces with the King Tut Platter. Pharaohs Kitchen is a place that I would probably pass by 100 times but I'm so glad that I made the stop here and my taste buds are too!

The food here is seriously so good everything is super flavorful! The vegetables especially stood out to me they weren't bland at all and actually had a rich well seasoned taste. You can tell they put real effort into making everything taste fresh!

I had lunch here recently for the first time and plan to return. Pharaohs is a table service restaurant with plenty of parking available in front. I ordered the lamb gyro pita with fries for $12.29. Other side options are salad and onion rings for $3.99 more. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive. The pita was large and hot and delicious. It was satisfying to eat with a lot of flavor. The fries were also hot with a crunchy exterior and good tasting. My only complaint is that ketchup is only served in packets here and that is a real pain when you want it on french fries like I did. Table service was good too. I will dine here again to try something different because Pharaohs Kitchen is a good place to eat.

We ordered takeout and the food was great! The beef kabobs were tender and the sauce was light. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken shawarma because it tasted dry and the sauce wasn't to my liking. But, the fries were perfectly crispy and the portions were a good size as well. Overall I would eat here again and try the different menu items!

This is a wonderful little gem sort of hidden at the end of the parking lot off of a major thoroughfare. A lot of people waste time hanging out in a line of running cars waiting for the fast food pickup window a little further down at the other end of the parking lot, not realizing that the really good food is here. It's fresh. The owner whose name is Sam really cares about the quality of his food and he's such a nice man. If you like Mediterranean food, you definitely should come and try this. Family members love coming as well.

Felafel gyro plate ... SO GOOD

Definitely coming back. Hard to say about the ambience or in-house service since we ordered for pick up but the service pick up and food were FANTASTIC! We ordered the lamb kofta platter that included white and saffron rice, 2 pieces of lamb kotfa, plenty of veggies on top of it and included a side salad. The platter had delicious sauce on top and the meat was juicy and tender. Very good portion and veggie, carb, meat ratio proportion as well. Also, we got the felafel gyro platter... really nice as well! Comes with 5 pieces of felafel cut i half over a bed of fluffy white and yellow rice, then with fresh veggies like cucumber, tomatoe, parsley and some cream (not sure if it was cream or sauce) that gave the whole plate a great combo. For the side I exchanged the salad for hummus and pita for an extra 2.99 charge and the portion of the hummus and pita for the upcharge was very fair. The portions on the plate were very good to pricing too. The service, packaging, snd time wait was normal, and the quality of the food really surprising. Definitely coming back.

I kept seeing this place as I drove by to go to Walmart or HEB, so I told hubby, let's go since the reviews and pics look good. We ordered the pharaohs plate, the stuffed grape leaves, lebneh app, and chicken salad; everything was very good. I liked the salad the best. Next time, I'd just order that. The chicken was seasoned well and the dressing was tasty. The portions were above average. Fries were meh. The servers were nice; I feel like the place should be counter service but I guess they don't want that area to be crowded. Overall, the food was on par with other similar restaurants and was good so we would definitely be back!

Tabbouleh Salad and Lamb Gyro Platter
    Katherine S.

I ordered a gyro platter with a side of tabouleh salad. I was impressed with the portion size. I also got the kunafa. All of the food was delicious. The meat was very tender and all the food was flavorful. My only complaint would be the kunafa was too dry for my liking. Im used to it being drizzled with honey and there wasnt much honey on the one i ordered. The server was very nice and the establishment was very clean. Overall, ide definitely go back

Let's start with the good... Egyptian falafel (ta3mea) is really good and fresh. The pita bread was also hot and fluffy. The gyro plate had a decent balance of flavor, lamb was seasoned well, and the rice was ok. Meat in the mixed platter was also grilled well. The bad... I would bet money the hummus was served straight from the can! Also, never in my life have I seen anyone put diced tomatoes on koshari. Talking about tomatoes, every salad in every dish had old tomatoes and the salads overall felt at least a day old. Overall, it's alright, I would be back for the falafel and maybe a gyro sandwich. Service was nice but did not know most of the menu, and the decor and Egyptian songs are a nice touch!

We've decided to check out this new mediterranean restaurant that had only been open for a few weeks. The were plenty of options on the menu. Since we weren't sure what to order, we decided to go with the Pharoah's Mixed Gyro Feast. It's a family platter with shaved lamb/beef/chicken gyro over rice, and comes with hummus, pita and your choice of salad. It was pretty good value, and there seems to be enough food for 2-3 people. The gyro and rice was amazing. The meat was tasty and had a nice 'bounce' to it. We got the tabbouleh for the salad and it was very good as well. The owner gave us some complimentary pistachio baklava to try, and it tasted fresh, crunchy and delicious - some of the best we've had. The staff was friendly, but they're still working out some kinks in the service when we visited. The restaurant is not fancy but has adequate seating for small and medium sized groups. We look forward to coming back to try the other dishes on their menu.

So quickly have I become a regular here. The waitress is so sweet and is quick to remember my order lol the food is so fresh and delicious and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. I love the platters or the gyros and definitely have to get the tzatziki. Lots of parking and the place is nice and clean.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and nice decor. The chicken shawarma was tender and flavorful.

This was the hummus and salad for a family of 3-4. Salad was enough for one person.

It immediately sets the expectation for food that is intentional and well executed. The deluxe hummus was excellent. Exceptionally smooth, properly seasoned, and elevated by the meat topping without losing balance. The base stays creamy and focused, which is exactly how good hummus should be. The mushroom and meat dish was a standout. Rich, savory, and cohesive, with a comforting depth that reminded me of a well made beef stroganoff but cleaner and more composed. The Signature Kebab Royale delivered across the board. The kofta was tender and well seasoned, and the tomato sauce tasted built rather than rushed. Bold without being heavy. Fresh pita tied everything together. Soft, airy, warm, and clearly made with care. Nothing here feels overworked or trend driven. Just confident cooking, solid execution, and a menu that rewards people who actually pay attention to what they are eating. Easy five stars.

So I wasn't in the mood to wait more. Server was a girl and she had black hair and she took forever to greet us which was annoying. And she was just slower overall like I had to ask for bread, bc I thought I had to order it or something, she was just not very welcoming and informative overall. Very bare minimum but hey whatever maybe she was off that day. I'll come again at an earlier time and see if it's a different experience. But it was okay overall, it could have been better with service so hopefully they do that bc there is multiple reviews about service complaints. But I was excited for the knafeh bc I love that dessert and no it was just not good. It wasn't crunchy I don't even think they used phyllo dough idk not the best would never order again was disappointed. But anywho this place could be better if they fixed these issues.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.
