Reading some of these reviews has me shook! I had such a great experience at Phanie's with Giselle. For me, the hype was 100% real. It had been 2 years since I'd stepped foot in a salon. I found Phanie's through IG and saw a few of her nail techs had openings this week. Giselle's work was impressive I sent her a message to ask a few questions to make sure I booked correctly for the services I wanted. The salon was clean and had a comfortable feel to it. As a new client anywhere, sometimes things get awkward, but that was not at all the case here. Giselle got right to work and conversation was easy. She helped me decide on an acrylic color and before I knew it, I had a fresh set of beautiful nails. I walked out low-key feeling like a baddie! My deposit went towards my total and there was zero issues with my total/payment and service. There are a ton of nail techs in Vegas, but quality ones are hard to find! They lied about price, I asked about a Groupon price, they said we can pay in person for that same price. My wife asked for a full set gel, I also talked to them over the phone and sent a text to confirm the price. She texted my wife separately and said "mani pedi?" And didn't mention the gel, although on my text separately we confirmed full gel set. Then my wife got there and they said it's not for gel. I paid 130 plus a 20 dollars tip for a sculptured nails set and pedicure. The pedicure was ok. The next day, two of my nails broke. I called made an appointment to have them repairs the following day. The girl Angie told me it would cost 20 dollars for both nails. I was bit annoyed considering my nails broke day after I got them done and they still try charge me more on top of what I paid already. The following day, another nail broke?! II was bit confused why are my nails breaking easily. So pressed down on . I called back to explain what happened and ask what type of products are they using. I want to try and give an overall honest review on my experience here. I had heard a lot about Phanies for a while and wanted to give it a shot. My regular nail tech was booked out by 2 weeks and I needed a fill so I hesitantly gave Phanies a call. She was booked out of course and so I was suggested to one of her other techs who are not master techs. Upon arrival I was greeted by Phanie who was really nice. The shop itself was really cute aesthetically and inviting. I was soon seated with the nail tech named Angie and felt that there was some type of language barrier and miscommunication about the size and shape of my nails. In short she basically took down my pinky nail shorter than I had liked and than proceeded to leave all the other nails quite obviously longer than my one pinky leaving a very off balance look. I ended up having to point out the size difference by pointing at her own nails to explain how off the pinky nail size was. While shortening the rest of my nails off she stated that since my pinky was a short finger that it wouldn't have been noticeable! I couldn't believe she was that oblivious to detail ? I mean how do you do your work that is DETAILED based and just dismiss a customers opinion with that type of excuse? On top of that lack of attention to detail she kept having to reshape my nail tips over and over to a point that my nails are all going in different directions and no my fingers are not crooked? I'm so disappointed and horrified how misshapen my nails looked. I understand being nice to customers is important but what's more important is attention to detail, and there's def a difference with just being a nail tech bc you can do the job as there is with someone who is an actual artist and naturally understands symmetry and shape. Just so disappointed and a waste of money :( Update: 1 day after --bling started to fall off. 6 days later nails started lifting. Ended up taking off entire acrylic set on my own and going elsewhere to have a more experienced tech put on a new full set. And also to the nail tech who botched my nails " Angie T. " -- instead of being petty about your mistakes and coming to an upset customers review about you and voting "funny" you should actually just explain yourself and why you think it's ok to leave a customer that upset with clearly uneven and misshapen nails. I went to inquire if they were open on weekends as I have 27 teachers I wanted to treat. They are open by appointment. Somebody jumped in as to what I had. Dipped, I replied. We don't do that. So I went to Phanies about 3 weeks ago and I got my nails scalped W/ nail art. I paid a "deposit " online when I made my appointment. I got my nails done thinking that the deposit applied to my service. NOPE I paid full price plus paid that deposit which was over $100. If I knew this I would've never booked this service. Crazy. The tips are uneven, it looks like I need a fill even though I barely got them. They were supposed to be longer but the nail tech cut one short and made the rest short. She is always able to do every design I bring her and even makes it better. The quality of her work is UHHHH-MAZE.... nails perfectly shaped and I usually wait about 4 weeks for a fill but can definitely last longer without chips, lifting, or cracks. I LEFT CRYING OF FRUSTRATION!! DONT BOOK STEPHANIE! I scheduled an appointment with Stephanie for my 21st birthday nails and I saw their instagram and it looked like they were really good... apparently there is multiple a "Stephanie and a Phanie" I got Stephanie who was HORRIBLE! I left work early to be there at my appointment at 4:00 I left the salon with UNFINISHED NAILS AT 7:00. I sat down and showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said " I can do that" then turned around to ask Phanie that she would need her help later... she dumped the acrylic on the nails and took 2 hours to file and CUT ME! During this time all the other works been left the shop. My nails were so thick, and uneven she started painting them and couldn't do the design i asked... i told her to take them off these are my birthday nails and this is unacceptable you should've been honest and said you were an amateur because she waisted my time. She then said she would have to charge me to take them off lmfao!! I told her to not even finish i was at the salon for 3 hours for a set of freaking nails! I have been going to Phanies since 2016 and my nails are always amazing. They do not lift, break or fall off. I always get sculpted xxl and have never had an issue. Phanie is amazing and very sweet. Any time I have gone elsewhere because she is booked I end up with botched nails and immediately regretting not booking in advance. Once you have had Phanie as your nail tech your expectations as far as shape and quality of the nails is extremely high. I am picky and I can honestly say I never leave dissatisfied. I don't know what's up with all those negative reviews. I've been going to phanie since December of last year and continue to go to her religiously. I've lived in Vegas for years and have struggled to find someone who can do my nails without lifting. My nails naturally curve down and she shapes them so well that they look perfect! She does sculpting on my nails (no tips) and always great designs. At first I'd come in with a color and let her run with it but now I trust her enough to just say "do what you want phanie". Well...if I could rate 0 I would! I see why this place has the rating that it does. I called a to set up an appt after seeing some of the posts that Phannie had on her Instagram page! Before I was even able to go in for my first time I got rescheduled twice. Based off the reasons that I got rescheduled (nail tech got sick,& then the owner had a unforeseen event happen) I decided that when Phannie called me to reschedule that I would give them a chance. I showed up for my appt and it appeared that Phannie was behind because I had to wait in the "lobby" while she worked on another client. Once she finished she did not come and get me but instead yelled for me to come to her & I heard her tell the tech next to her it's because she didn't want to get up! They chuckled. I brushed it off even though It was clearly a bit Unprofessional. I told her what colors and shapes I liked (almond, short coffin),& described a shape I really wanted to try but couldn't remember the name of it was but since she is the professional I was open to her opinion/recommendations/suggestions! She said "I got you"& started doing my nails. She put the color (which looked similar to my skin tone) she choose without even getting my consent or asking me what I thought about it! She shaped my nails &claimed they were coffin. I left very disappointed and I was sad at the outcome of my nails. I am a pretty patient person, & throughout this entire process I was very nice& even tipped graciously. After thinking about it I texted her later that evening and sending her a picture of my nails. She responded 4 days later & I called per her instructions to set up an appt with her. I went to my appt with high hopes she would redeem herself. I told her my concerns. It was evident the work she did was not even descent. It was decided to reshape them to almond shape since she clearly could not do short coffin& do a polish change. I picked the color& all I needed her to reshape& put the polish on correctly. She couldn't even get that right (a couple were uneven), but at this point they looked a little better than her previous work. When she told me I was done I looked at my nails and addressed the misshape/unevenness and polish issue(I wish I would have taken a picture of the polish she did on my thumb nail) she got even more of an attitude. I told her how is this happening and why would the polish look "crinkled"She accused me and said I must of touched something! I told her No I did not! How the heck could I have touched something... when I literally followed her instructions (she polished and then told me to put them under the UV light). Bottom line not only did she do horrible work she had the audacity to get mad at me for her mistakes! Hedi Hedi Hedi! You are the bomb I've been here only twice. Coming from LA I've been here for a year and have had the hardest time finding a nail tech. Finding this shop was a lifesaver I was willing to travel all the way back to LA just for quality until I met Hedi. She put the time into what she is doing and she is an Artist at heart. I can let her freestyle and even she can take a design and just make it fresh and new for you. The only reason I came here was because my regular nail lady was booked up and I needed these nails to be ready for two weddings I was attending in the next 2 weeks. So I was in a hurry to find a good nail tech. So I decided to book an appointment after seeing her work on Instagram. I was a bit disappointed because they didn't look exactly the way I wanted them but I didn't really care cause phanie had warned me that she didn't have all the material that was in the picture but they would still look nice. This is what got to me. I got my nails done on May 22nd and By May 24th my nail had cracked a bit. By May 25th another nail had broken off! I contacted them right away pissed because I did not pay $100 for them not to even last the first wedding on the 26th!!! So needless to say by the day of the wedding I had two broken nails which is really embarrassing to say the least. Phanie contacted me herself and told me she could fix them herself the following day. Okay cool I needed them done for the second wedding that was my main concern. I drove 45 minutes for these nails and it was well worth it. I have really skinny fingers so I usually have a messed up looking pinky nail because acrylics NEVER FIT MY NAILS, but Phanies does sculpted nails and they look amazing! I'm also used to my fingers getting all beat up from the filing but she was really good about not hurting the skin around the nail, and was quick! Decided to try Phanies nails salon last week, it was a 20 min drive but I decided it would be worth it, it's been literally one week since my girlfriend and I got our nails done with her team, although the shop was well put we did not receive the proper treatment or service. Our nails are now lifting and chipping. Phanie did my nails and she seemed as if she was in a hurry, then when to my toes she made me wait atleast 30 min, which didn't make any sense since she was not busy.
