The sauce has always been incredible and they give you a lot of vegetables. But in the past, I've gotten a lot more Duck than in the order I had today. For the price point, there was very little meat, and the duck was chewy and tasted like it had been refried several times. This has not been my experience in the past. I will try it again and see if it's better next time. So I would give it 3 1/2 stars because of the excellent curry sauce and the fact that they do put in a lot of vegetables although it would be nice if they put in broccoli as well.

Found Cobo on Yelp and decided the pictures of the sushi looked decent. And honestly it's just that... mediocre sushi and tapas. I would call this more of an artisan sushi bar rather than authentic sushi. I guess you can say we've been spoiled with our sushi expectations as we live in the Iredell County area which is between Charlotte and Winston for authentic sushi. The service was super slow due to how busy they are and how small their sushi set up area is so I can't really blame them for being so packed and one of the only maybe three sushi joints in Boone. The server did make sure to keep our drinks filled and checked on us, however, he wasn't much help when it came to recommendations on the menu as he didn't seem to really eat sushi (do not hold that against him) He was honest when we asked him about the mackerel roll and said he's been told is super fishy which it is since it's pickled mackerel rather than fresh. The udon noodles were the furthest thing from being udon. Instead they were a flat stir fry rice noodles so that was really disappointing. The only thing that was really good was the Japan Poppers those I highly recommend trying if you like stuffed jalapeño poppers! I don't think we'd be back to Cobo simply due to the lack of authenticity and overpriced food and drinks.
