Among some others that were fan favorites. Now to the review! They replaced a lot of the life fitness machines with hoist and matrix. Probably my two least favorite manufacturers of gum equipment around but the fact the old basketball court is all rogue power racks, makes up for it. They also removed the whole front area for a artificial turf training area. While this space is wasted on me, I'm sure there will be tens of people who use it. Poor use of space LA fitness. Now dumbbells? It's a entire back wall of weights. More than you know what to do with. They also added more benches which was desperately needed. Overall a big win. Their cardio machines? They need some love. I'm shocked they didn't replace them all, most of them are rusted with sweat residue and are need of replacing. Or repainting. Your call. But the cardio machines work, so there's that. I frequent a lot of gyms in the area and this one being so new will keep my attention for a while. Over all 7/10.

I was pregnant and hurting and needed my nightly stretch in the pool which is the main reason I paid to go there and I can't use the hot tub while pregnant. Arrived at the same time as usual. There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. She happened to have come down for pick up at the time and was following them wondering why he had her son down a secluded hallway alone, He didn't apologize or anything. Terrible way of handling a child.

I was waiting for a machine and had already waited through two rounds of people. When I went to sit down, a trainer named Benjamin literally put his hands up in my face and motioned for me to move. He wasn't even using the machine--he was training a client nearby and apparently wanted it for his client. He did this right in front of the person he was training, which was incredibly embarrassing and humiliating. I was so shocked in the moment that I got up rather than cause a scene. Afterward, I emailed management and then went to the front desk and canceled my membership. I explained what happened to the manager, Andrea, and was shocked by how little concern she seemed to have for the situation. I had prepaid for a year and still had six months remaining, so I asked for a refund of the unused portion. I was told no. Andrea said she would speak with her managers and Benjamin. Two days later, she finally contacted me and said there was nothing they could--or would--do. After being a loyal paying customer for years, this was an incredibly disappointing way to be treated. Trainers do not own the equipment, and wearing a Crunch shirt does not give them the right to "shoo" paying members away from machines they are waiting to use. The way I was treated by the trainer was bad enough. The complete lack of concern from management made it even worse.

He let me finish my workout that day, and when I asked to resolve the issue or get a refund for the month I'd already paid for, he told me to come back today at 6pm. I showed up on time and waited 10 minutes before he even spoke to me. He then told me he was busy, that he'd spoken to the district manager, and that I still couldn't access the gym until the training balance was paid. When I asked again for a refund of my membership fee, he said it was "cancelled out" because I supposedly owed him money. I've paid for a service I never received and am now being locked out of a membership I'm current on. This isn't how a paying member should be treated, and the runaround with no real resolution has been the most frustrating part. Would not recommend dealing with this location under current management.

April was our instructor and we had a small class of 4 people. Classes are held in the pool. I was a little scared of falling in the water and everyone did at one point but we mostly stayed on the boards doing the various yoga poses. The class was about 50 minutes long and very well worth the cost of 45.00. We were able to tighten the tether to keep the boards from shifting so much during class. They offer other dates and times and also Pilates.

I had reserved a court to practice alone with my ball machine, positioned so it would not bother anyone. A staff member named Keith came over and, instead of calmly explaining any concern, shouted at me from across the courts and threatened to kick me out if I did not move it within ten seconds, even though I have brought this same equipment in before with no issue and was not aware of any policy against it. There was no attempt to explain things professionally, just ultimatums. I filed a formal complaint with management, but I think other members should know this happened, since I do not think this reflects how staff should treat paying customers.
