Corporate gyms just want bodies to pay their monthly fees. But this place is personal and has your fitness goals in mind. I've seen a wide array of people who train here; from housewives getting in shape to powerlifters, to pro-bodybuilders. I love it since it's not crowded at all and you don't have to wait on equipment. Speaking of wide array, they have that in equipment as well, and they offer free training with the membership which helps a lot for fitness goals or for newbies who need a little help learning the equipment.

Ryan was very hands on with getting us signed up and gave us a tour of the gym. Even after joining, he still checks in with us during workouts to make sure we are satisfied or if we have questions. If I need assistance with equipment or questions about lifts he stops what he's doing to discuss/demonstrate movements which is great. The gym has plenty of equipment and space and even during COVID we've never felt overcrowded or unsafe. We're extremely happy with Epicenter and look forward to being longterm member.

I expressed a week ago to the gym that it wasn't women friendly meaning they do not have any 7.5 or 12.5 weights available for the members. Someone then showed me a room that had racks of 7.5 lbs weights pictured below. In the aerobics room so today I needed to use them an I asked very politely, I also offered up my DL or my car keys while I use them. In other clubs when they items behind the counter for use they requested and ID or car keys while I use items not on the floor. The "VP manager" here said not his problem and I can't use the weights. I expressed to him my frustration and he pretty much was on a power trip and just wouldn't let me use weights that no one in gym was using. So I called the corporate office and they called and had a woman that would let me use the weight, the "VP" then interjected himself and wouldn't let the female employee let me use the weights even though the corporate office asks her to do so. The corporate office also informed me that it's his job to order the weights & that my request was legit. I feel like he is on a power trip & abusing his power & role at the gym. Aren't the "managers" here to help the members? He offered no solutions even though in our conversation I offered many and pointed them out. I find this very sexist as well that the gym/club is not women friendly weights.

When I broke my foot earlier this year, I was never informed that I had the option to freeze my account. As a result, I was charged all year long despite not being able to use the facility even once. When I addressed this with staff, I was told that I was "allowed to freeze my account only once" and that if I didn't extend it after three months, that was on me. At no point was I ever informed that an extension was required. Instead of helping, the staff dismissed my concerns and insisted I would continue to be charged. Planet Fitness has increased fees without notifying members, and the policies--which used to be reasonable years ago--have become confusing, inconsistent, and frankly unfair. The response I received from the gym was clearly written only to protect their reputation, not to help resolve the issue. I remain stuck in a contract I was misled about, and I have paid for a service I could not use due to injury. UPDATE - November 19, 2025 This situation escalated into one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful experiences I have ever had at any business. I brought my 78-year-old mother, who is hard of hearing, to join me for a workout. What should have been a positive experience turned into a complete embarrassment. The individual who claimed to be the manager - identified to me as Rodrick - spoke to both of us with a rude, dismissive, and condescending tone. My mother struggled with her phone, and instead of assisting her respectfully, he barked instructions at her, demanding she download the app, provide her email, and take a photo immediately. She was made completely uncomfortable. We were then told she could not use the infrared light therapy and that only I could. From the beginning, Rodrick made it extremely clear that we were not welcome and could not fully enjoy the amenities. The situation escalated to the point where he told us to leave if we didn't like it. I have been a paying member for three years. This year alone, due to my broken foot, I have been able to visit the gym only twice. For my second visit to be ruined by a manager -- who behaved more unprofessionally than any employee I have ever encountered -- is absolutely unacceptable. My own employer does not speak to me the way this young man did. Planet Fitness has taken my money while providing almost no usable service this entire year, and the treatment my mother and I received was disgraceful. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I expect Planet Fitness to address the conduct of this manager immediately. For anyone considering a membership: Be aware that cancellations require paying multiple fees, annual fees are increased without notice, and the "all-club access" membership comes with strings attached. Ask many questions, because the information provided to members is inconsistent at best. I will be extremely hesitant to return, and I will call ahead to ensure this manager is not present. His behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disrespectful. Planet Fitness, you have some explaining to do.

I chose this place becuase they offered me a $1 sign up fee. As it turns it it was $45 but I let that slide because I felt the place had some potential. During the sign up process they introduced me to one of the trainers there who worked with me and convinced me to sign up for the trainer service. I will say I wasn't overly excited that it was a four month commitment but I went along with it as a start. At the end of the four moinths I inquired at the front desk when that time would be up and that was when i was informed that I would have to give 30 days notice to terminate the service and since I didn't I would have to pay for an additional month. I explained to the young man that he needed to cancel every thing with me, both the trainer service and my membership. I would not return and I will dispiute any charges they make to my bank accoiunt. I will say I was a bit appaled by the lack of interest in offering any custromer service, but when your business model is nefarious perhaps that is to be expected. This place certainly brings buyer beware to the surface. The hard part is it's difficult to read the fine print when you don't know it exists.
