I cannot say the same for the groomers. I had to remind them to clean my dog's ears several times. My poor Yorkie looked terrible several times after being cut there. He looked like a rat. One time they didn't cut the hair from around his ears and I thought his ears were flopping on their own as I never had a yorkie before. It was because they didn't cut the hair on his ears. But, why???? There was an issue almost every time I got my dogs groomed and I grew unhappy over time. Before I put the blame all on Kathy's business, it was my fault for canceling at the last minute quite a few times. So, I can imagine how frustrating that was for her. We finally ended our relationship today when she told me the groomers told her they did not want me to return. I was with Kathy's grooming for 11 years. I will miss her. But, I will not miss Kathy's Grooming the business. There are many great grooming businesses in this area, especially mobile grooming businesses competing for business. If businesses want to stay competitive they should make sure they they strive for excellent customer service or risk losing customers.

When my husband tried to set up an appointment, the person on the phone 1, had an attitude and 2, told us it would be an extra $25 for us to stay there while our dogs were groomed. We tried to explain that one of my dogs is a previous owner surrender and has a fear of abandonment, but they didn't care and weren't hearing us out. If that's their attitude towards my dog's needs, then I don't want to do business with them. I love my dogs too much to force them in a scary situation and just leave. I need someone willing to go out of their way to make sure my dogs needs are met.

I boarded my 2 large dogs with them and explained my dogs' health issues in detail and was told I would need to pay extra for administering medication to one of them who was suffering with an ear infection and allergies. When I picked him up his ear infection was WORSE, his allergies much worse and he had developed a skin infection that was bright red and visible, and his anxiety was off the charts in spite of being on anti-anxiety medication. Both of my dogs smelled of urine and when I unpacked the remaining food, treats, + medication, it was obvious that they were not provided with all of their medications or treats.

As a lifetime cat owner, my family had to board our pets when we took vacations growing up, so I was kind of used to leaving my babies in good hands, but when I mentioned the idea of a boarding clinic to Tori, she gave me a firm, NEVER! Then, one day we got an exterminator notice on our door stating that pets could not be in the apartment the following day. With no other option on such short notice, I searched for a kennel for our baby and came across Mt. Tabor. I called and was greeted with a friendly, welcoming receptionist on the other end. I knew that if I picked a mediocre kennel, Tori would kill me, so I asked some pretty strange questions like, "how much does someone play with the pets?" The receptionist was very assuring that Richard would be well taken care of. The moment I stepped foot in the kennel I knew that everything would be okay. The staff loves Richard and always makes sure he is fed. He gets more attention there than he probably does at home because the staff loves to play with him. After a great day visit, we got a card in the mail for a free night of boarding. We took him back one night when we were travelling to Boone. This time, Tori came with me. We asked for a tour of the kennel and had a nice conversation with one of the employees about her own pets. Mt. Tabor is a very welcoming place staffed by animal lovers. They have lots of upgrade options and you can pay for extra playtime. I always feel extremely comfortable leaving Richard here. It's honestly the best kennel I've worked with.
