Making the reservations for boarding and grooming was easy. The receptionist was friendly and articulate. Pricing was clear. This is an "inn-style" boarding. So I knew Cooper would get to play with other dogs while we were gone. That is one reason we chose this place. When I dropped cooper off, I noticed how clean the facility was. The staff was super friendly. When we picked cooper up (4 days later), he was happy. He was groomed (per my request) and looked amazing. His haircut was perfect. I'm beyond happy that Cooper was so well cared for.

And if you are not fit to groom all breeds better have someone there that can. This is the third time I had this exact experience at this place so I gave them enough times to fix their issues. You are getting a one for lack of planning when dog owners make an appointment. I made an appointment each of the three times each of the times told them it's a big dog that weighs 100-130 pounds. Breed is a Bernice mountain dog. First time they called saying we can't do that dog until this date and I was like ok we will make that work. Second time I show up with my dog and the groomer comes and says I don't do big breeds, than way did you accept the appointment ! So reschedule again, this time I show up the girl walks out and says I can't medically pick up more than 50 pounds and the last person that did my dog's grooming put him at 40 pounds. They were like you can come back at 8 am tomorrow, no I can't I will take my business elsewhere from now on. 4 employees in the place and I know not all are groomers but come on. Not a single customer either so they like to see business just walk out the door I guess. Don't use them or their other locations because it's on link to the same online appointment tool, and the new girl even said it's crap, so tell the owner that not the client.

When you sit down with a vet, they seem to be out to lunch. They don't engage with any videos you show them, don't put much stock in your perspective or concerns as a pet owner. They ask very few questions and rush to end the appointment without considering the animal's overall medical history. The vet barely speaks to you, as the human. Spends the whole time cooing over how cute the pet is, talking to the pet, to the point where it's difficult to even get a word in edge wise. Frankly, it seems like a patronizing and deliberate tactic to avoid answering questions. They suck up all the air in the room trying to make you and your pet feel so cute and special, but when you finally do get an opportunity to ask a question, the vet seems annoyed, the response is quick, thoughtless, and non-committal. No advice given, doesn't seem concerned, doesn't take things seriously. The vet chuckles and tosses out a boiler plate response with no professional recommendation. Doesn't ask if you have any more questions, just goes right back to baby talk with the animal. It honestly seems like they don't know what they're doing. I came here looking for professional advice and I feel we were coddled, manipulated, patted on the head, and sent out the door. I got home and realized the side effects of the treatment my cat received were much worse than expected... and really common. The vet told us nothing about them. At this point, googling things is more useful than going to Aspen Arbor. And way less expensive. And I don't close my phone feeling like I just got scammed. After reading other reviews, it seems that condescension, misdiagnosis, poor comprehension, inadequate communication, and failure to take things seriously are common practice here. And it sounds like they've killed a couple pets as a result. Oh and lastly, when you get there, the doors don't have buttons. The two front desk agents will sit there and watch you as you struggle to get the doors open. We obviously are done here and will be transferring our medical records to Care Animal Hospital.

Mind you we were the only car in the parking lot. I don't expect royalty treatment but a little reassurance would have been nice. We finally walked in and the lady behind the counter was being very passive aggressive and downright rude. The prices on their wall say one thing, but they have their little nitpicking strategies to milk every dollar out of their customers.. The lady that was scheduled to groom our dogs wasn't even there yet and at this point it was 9:00a. So we ended up leaving. I've been bringing my dog, Goli, here for years, including back when the previous owner…read more(Ashley)--who was a friend of mine--owned the business. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, my experience has been completely different. Goli looked great after her grooming today, but when I picked her up, her collar was missing. I immediately brought it to the front desk's attention. I was first told that my wife had brought Goli in without a collar. After I pushed back, they admitted the collar had accidentally been put on another dog. Mistakes happen. What was unacceptable was how the situation was handled. I had to ask the staff to contact the other customer, and I was told they would simply get the collar back "next time" that dog came in--even though there wasn't an appointment scheduled. There was no apology, urgency, or real solution. I asked to speak with a manager and requested a partial refund. They gave me $20 and refused to refund any of the grooming service. When I asked for the new owner's contact information so I could discuss the situation directly, I was told the manager could provide it but wouldn't. Security was then called, and I was told that I--and apparently Goli--were no longer welcome. The most disappointing part was being made to feel like I was at fault. The groomer even suggested that I should remove Goli's collar before bringing her in if I didn't want this to happen and continued suggesting that my wife may not have brought her in with one. After years of being a customer, I expected much better. Mistakes can be forgiven; refusing to take responsibility and treating a longtime customer this way cannot. The staff and new management clearly needs better customer-service training.
