March 2019: We are back for boarding. The staff are not only nice to the dogs, they are so responsive and kind to the pet parents! I called to ask about my puppy and I got a call back with updates on how she was doing and the plans if she doesn't feel well. The staff really puts my worries to rest so I can leave town for my trip. Thank you!! My puppy gets over the moon excited each time we arrive at the parking lot!! Dec 2018: I went on a 2-week trip out of the country and had to leave my new puppy at Camp Bow Wow. They emailed me the very first day I dropped off my dog to explain an injury where my dog stepped on a bug and they reassured me that she has been taken care of. During the rest of the 2-weeks, I watched the video camera occasionally to check on my puppy and have been very impressed by the staff's care and gentleness towards the dogs. I also saw how fast they cleaned up accidents in the play area. When I checked out this morning, I received verbal reports from different staff about how my puppy did. I am so grateful for the care they gave my puppy. It's my first time boarding my new puppy and I was seriously anxious, but the staff has put my mind at ease and it was so nice to know my puppy was taken care of. When we picked him up, they gave me a medication card showing when he got his meds... problem is, all the pills i sent him with were still in the bottle. Gucci runs right in when we drop her off, unlike her former day camp where we never quite knew if she liked it there. I couldn't be happier my friends recommended Camp Bow Wow and their dog trainers Jaime and Ethan when we adopted our puppy this year!!! While she is a total love muffin her desire to be loved compelled her to pull, drag, jump, lunge and more. But with guidance, love and all the patience; she's become a far more responsive hand full and gets better every day. Yesterday we made it to the car in under a minute with no pulling! This has literally taken several (10... 15... 20) minutes in the past trying to not let her drag me there. Seeing her progress over the past year has been incredible. Not only do they work with our special crazy face - but Jaime will also check in with us to make sure we understand what's happening and the steps to take to prevent or correct it. We also receive email updates with notes, recommended next steps and videos (amazing) of her training sessions. I never thought about how much we needed a puppy education and so appreciate all the extra time given to us as well. So informative and understanding vs making me feel like I'm a failure of a mom. I've spent more time on the phone with Jaime than nearly anyone else this year. (You use this thing for... verbal communication?) Luckily for me Jaime and Ethan are also excellent texters and I love being able to send a quick message when I have a question (or particularly adorable pic). Best of all I never doubt that they love my nugget almost as much as I do. Frankly I've felt a twinge of jealousy on occasion at how excited pupper doodle gets. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG HERE. We decided to board our dog here over 4th of July weekend. Despite their claim of "play all day," my dog was in his kennel nearly 23 hours/ day! Thanks to the cameras they set up, I could see the hour they were let out from 4-5 and they claim to have let him out in the morning- but I did not see it. My dog had to call it a night at 5????? Supposedly, this is because they were short staffed due to a holiday weekend. IDGAF. I will not PAY you to keep my dog locked up in a box all day!!!! Extremely disappointed. TERRIBLE. Took my dog here because of the "all day play" claim, but no. They keep your dog locked up in a kennel for 23 hours of the day. Brought my dog here when I was going out of town for a long weekend and downloaded the Camp Bow Wow app to look at the cameras. After checking the cameras a few time and not seeing the dogs I thought it was strange not to see them. So the next day I checked in every hour until about 2:30 then called to ask what is up? They told me the dogs would go out from 3-5 when the staff got there. The dogs came out at 3:30 and back in their kennel for the night at 4:30 so the staff could close up shop. 1 hour. They told me they were short staffed. If you are short staffed and can only let the dogs out 1 hour, tell your patrons. I would have made other arrangements had I known. Camp Bow Wow in Westminster is absolutely amazing! I needed somewhere to take my dog Everest while I packed for a move and they were quick to take him. The staff was great with him and he can be tough to handle. He is a 2 year old 150 pound Newfoundland and they handled him so well. He had never been to daycare before. I checked up on him a few times on the camera and I felt reassured that he was in great hands! I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow in Westminster! They treat the dogs terribly. It is very sad. I don't see any nurturing and petting, warm interaction; all I see is them shoving dogs around like they are bothersome and irritating. When you point out that they kneed your dog in the face, or pushed your dog away from the fence, they say it is their, "corporate policy." It is not a place that I feel comfortable leaving my best friends. It is a business and they handle it as such, the dogs are only there to make $$$. read more

My dog came here for about 6 months and absolutely loved his time here, but after seeing their true colors, I'll never bring him back. On the cameras, there was a large dog that kept mounting my dog, and it was allowed to go on for longer than acceptable. While I watched, the employee did nothing about it. (I am told she DID correct the dog, but it was certainly not while I watched.) Eventually, my dog rolled away and went to play with another dog, but it did not seem like he was having fun with the dog that mounted him. Later, I got a call saying that they noticed a wound on my dog, so he had to be taken out. They made it sound minor. I assumed it was a tooth scrape. They said it may have been a rough "play bite" or from the dog that was mounting. I arrived a couple hours later and took him home where I got a better look. It was a DEEP LACERATION on his back leg, and hours later, it was still bleeding. It later started to swell, and he was hiding his leg from me. We took him to the emergency vet, where he had to be sedated, given painkillers, antibiotics, and four staples. When I spoke to the manager, I was told they saw nothing, knew nothing, and heard nothing, and therefore, they were not responsible for it or the bill in any way. In the end, my dog had to have staples after being in their care, and no one could tell me why. Do you not pay attention to these animals? Or do you just not want to get in trouble for your negligence? I have been told that it could have been from rough playing or sharp dewclaws from mounting. After checking it multiple times over the following few days, I believe it was the dewclaw. How persistently and aggressively is my dog being mounted for a dewclaw to cause a laceration that requires staples? It wasn't called off or redirected when it should have been, and that's unacceptable. I understand that "dogs will be dogs," but when you are PAID to look after them, there is no excuse. I expect him to come home with minor scratches or red marks from playing, sure, but I don't expect him to come home in need of staples and for the staff to be completely clueless about it. Note, I've had to call in the past to ASK that a mounting dog be removed from my dog after watching the behavior go uncorrected on the camp cams, and I've been assured that they are "playing." This staff either does not understand or care about dog behavior, and they will label problematic things as "playing." DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE. They will get hurt, and this staff does not care. They either have staff that truly does not pay attention, or they do not act fast enough when there are issues, meaning they have poor judgement for safety. It is completely unacceptable. All I wanted was accountability. They refused to cover any of the vet bill, but they also couldn't tell me how or why my dog was bleeding and needed staples. I wanted at least one of those things, but the fact that they were unable to provide either highlights their negligence. We also spoke to the district manager, and she suggested that my dog came in with the injury and we were trying to blame them to get out of the bill, which is extremely offensive and speaks to the integrity of the company. She also brought up the signed agreement that means they will not accept any responsibility or fault for vet bills, so just so you know, no matter what happens to your dog here, they are not responsible for anything at all (including any deaths, apparently)! Again, I expect scrapes. I do NOT expect my dog to require staples and for the staff to shrug it off. I am angry, disappointed, and sad for my dog and for how the situation was handled. It is not fair. Please, please, trust me, and AVOID this place. read more

This review is solely based on the customer service I received yesterday around 4:30pm from 2 teenage/20-something ladies. I'm sure Camp Bow Wow is great at taking care of dogs since I picked up my friend's dog, and he was fine. I came in and stated that I was picking up my friend's dog. I gave the dog's name, my name, and my friends' names (the owners) to the girl working the front desk. She said she did not have my name or my friends' names, and that was it. Very lackadaisical! No service with a smile. No initiative whatsoever to help me out. I said that my friend stated that she called here to let them know I'd be picking up their dog. The girl had no idea what I was talking about. I asked if there were other Camp Bow Wow's in Westminster, and she said no. So I told her my friend's dog had to be here. No help. Nothing. After 15 minutes of trying to figure out what was going on, another employee came out. I asked if she knew what was going on, and she knew right away who I was and who I was there to pick up. The first girl told her, "You need to put this in the computer system" to which the second girl responded, "I thought I did". I told them straight up that they needed to get their act together to which I heard crickets. They brought the dog out with most of his belongings (they kept some of his food I come to find out later from his owners), and they did not address me, apologize for the inconvenience, or give any type of response. We have been bringing our two dogs here for about eight months and we've been very happy with our experiences. Our dogs run right in (they're both rescues and have taken some time to warm up to other people) and seem very happy, content, and normal when we pick them up. They're always happily exhausted when they come home! In particular, Emerald and Sasha take great care of our gals and we appreciate the time and care taken to bring one of our dogs out of her shell (former mill dog, she has some serious human trust issues). I have a 7 month old puppy who I had to board for a week while I was out of the country and after struggling for days to find the right fit, a friend recommended this location specifically. I was blown away by how they truly care for pups and how patient and kind they were with my nervousness around leaving her. They are very attentive to the needs of each individual dog - mine is timid around other dogs and the staff here was very careful to keep her in smaller yards where she was comfortable. Their customer service is terrible. We had a consultation confirmed for Dec 4th. The gentleman told us to come in any time that morning to have the dog seen. When I got there the girl at the counter was nice and got the manager to dig into it. Vanessa made the experience even worse...as the manager she told me that it was our fault we didn't have an appointment and that if we did it wouldn't have been until 9am. News to me so I asked her for her resolution and she said 1pm instead of our scheduled 9am appointment. Someone must've confronted with us and never put it in the system. I have never been treated so rudely by a manager.....I would suggest steering clear of this mess! read more

Left my dog there over the Christmas holidays - about 5 days in total. It was my first and last experience there. After the initial "trial camp day" in November when I first attempted to make a reservation for Xmas, I followed up and there was no reservation on record despite having to undergo this trial day. CBW provides a coupon that can only be used 3 -days after the first trial date. Thank you for the advanced notice. Had I known of the coupon, perhaps, I would have delayed the trial date but then again who knows what is going to happen and need to make alternative plans on short notice in the midst of the holiday season My dog is a 35 lbs mixed breed (Italian Greyhound/Dalmatian) and is gentle and calm. Still, never know what happens around other dogs. The above are less concerns than when I went to pick up my dog, I noticed a number of clearly visible lumps on his skin not present at the time he was dropped off. There was no mention made on his report nor did any of the staff members say anything about the visible change in the dog's complexion. Also, he lost a few pounds during from his last vet appt to the next appt - a time span of 3 weeks. I set up an appt with a vet and he had a skin bacteria treatable w/ antibiotics and he is doing better after spending $150 for a vet appt. I was less than happy about my experience with CBW location in Broomfield. I know this is a franchise location and not representative of the organization as a whole but I do not recommend this location. read more

In doing research about dog boarding facilities for the holidays I have found Camp Bow wow to be the best. There prices are reasonable or at least lower than others. But most importantly is the type of day your dog will have there. At most other dog boarding facilities the dog is alone in a kennel for most of the day and has scheduled times out that you either have to pay extra for or are just very limited. At Camp Bow Wow the dog are roaming free and socializing all day. Other than meals and bed time they are not confined to a kennel. When choosing a place to board my dog for the holidays I need it to not break the bank and for him to have the most pleasant days, happily moving around socializing with other dogs. read more

I have taken my dog to Camp Bow Wow four times now and really like it. I like that there are cameras to check up on the dogs and and really appreciate their opening time of 6:30am. These people are great with dogs, and every time I pick up my dog, they give me a little update on how he did- which as a pet parent, we appreciate. The only thing I would "nag" about would be that their website isn't updated, and their Special Offers are still listed for January, and it is September. So as a new customer, if someone hasn't been there yet to ask about special offers, they would not know by just looking at the website. read more

I would also give this less than 1 star if possible. My dog has been to many Doggy Daycare's (including a multitude of other Camp Bow Wows). This location truly ruined my experience. They told me that my dog was misbehaving and causing issues from the way he ran around the area. Never has my dog had issues anywhere else. I have now moved him to a different Daycare for weekly visits - at the new daycare, he has been raved for best dog behavior. At this Camp Bow Wow Westminster - they told me if my dog wanted to continue to be there we needed PAY for training or he could potentially be expelled from Camp Bow Wow NATIONALLY. This a SCAM - do not go here. Not to mention that they put dogs in these small kennels because they say they have too many dogs, so they have to filter them in and out. I saw one of the ladies SHOVE my dog in the kennel. Also, my dog was always fearful to come back. In his past places and current daycare, he is jumping out of the car to go play and go in. I would give zero stars if I could. Be very aware having your dog or puppy at this facility and pray that you never have to deal with the manager or assistant manager here. Long story short, had our dog at a competitor (Dogtopia) for a year with NEVER and issue. Our dog had been here for 3 months and contracted kennel cough twice and Giardia once. After the second time of her getting kennel cough I called to voice our displeasure with what was going on there. Not once did either manager offer any kind of discount, offer to help cover any vet bills NOTHING!! The manager actually giggled when I asked if they would cover the vet bill for her to get a "clean bill of health" before they would let her back in day care. She was king enough to offer me my money back if I had prepaid for any services, that was nice of her to offer to give me MY money back that may have been sitting in my account! BE VERY WARY TAKING YOUR DOG TO THIA FACILITY UNLEAS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR YOUR DOG TO GET SICK AND DON't PLAN ON GETTING ANY SYMPATHY FROM WITHER MANAGER.... VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I had very high expectations because of how highly recommended Camp Bow Wow came and I have never been more disappointed. This would have been my first time boarding my 7 month old Bernese and when first setting up her interview, I was told what requirements were needed in order to proceed. After completing every requirement (application, shots, ect) I scheduled her interview and took off from work in order to take her. When I arrived I am told she cannot be interviewed because she hasn't been spayed yet. Apparently this is ALSO a requirement but this so called "required policy" was never shared with me. I am now less than 2 weeks away from my trip and I've got very limited options at this point because of the situation they have now put me in. While at Camp Bow Wow, I called my vet to reschedule the spay. I got it bumped up 3 weeks because Park Hill Vet is amazing and very accommodating but now Camp Bow Wow won't even interview her until 7 days after her procedure. That puts her interview THE DAY BEFORE I leave and at that point they can't guarantee they will have any openings available. Furthermore, they wouldn't even reserve a spot for her which makes zero sense. (Another "required policy") Let me clarify...I've got no issue with their required policies. It is what it is and I understand they are set in place to protect every party involved. What I do have an issue with is not being told about these required policies to begin with. Moreover, their inability and unwillingness to work with me in a scenario they have created through their lack of communication is complete unacceptable from a customer's perspective. Had I known, I would've gotten this procedure taken care of weeks ago. I specifically elected to hold off on the spay (at the vets recommendation because of the shots she just got) because it wasn't a requirement I was aware of. Camp Bow Wow seemed like a great environment for my pup and i was excited to board her there. It's very disappointing that we were treated with an "oh well, that's too bad" attitude when trying to figure out what options I now had due to their errors. If you are in need of dog training, I highly recommend Jaime Tomaszewski! Our 2 year old Great Dane started showing some alpha-male tendencies so Jaime has helped teach Satch (and us!) how to redirect his attention back to us and not focus on the other big dog. We've seen a huge improvement in his behavior and even more so in his focus on us while we are walking, hiking or at an off-leash park. It's like he is always waiting for the next command and anxious to please us- because Jaime has made training fun for him. So thankful for her work! read more

Terrible experience. We went on vacation for a week and dropped off our dog here. When we picked him up my husband gave our dog a bath and we found his neck to be raw, missing fur, and oozing. I took him to the vet the next day and they diagnosed him with an infection and is now on antibiotics for 2 weeks and is on his 3rd follow up visit. When I called the facility to tell them what happened i never got an explanation, the staff had no idea that he had even been injured and I was told a manager would call me...never heard from them. Follow up from prior review, STAY CLEAR PLEASE. They are liars and will lie to your face! Our dog had his penis so infected that he could not pee during his stay there due to the fact they did not listen to simple instructions to wear a cone when unsupervised. When confronted, they said he was "happy and healthy". Oddly, one of the managers told us that he did have trouble peeing and we should have been called. That phone call never happen and these corporate managers just lie and lie and lie. We requested footage of his stay, when they agreed, they showed us a tiny clip from one of the few days he was there. That proves that we were correct and they did not follow our instructions. They lied right to our face. Simple fix would have been, pay our medical bills as they were liable and this would just go away. Now they will have to deal with a lawyer. They have insurance for these situations, they should just pay the medical bills and be done. We will not stop until we are compensated for our dogs life saving surgery. STAY CLEAR. In a state where everyone has and loves dogs, this place should NOT exist. STAY AWAY. read more

If you are looking for training of your dog, I highly recommend Jamie. I stumbled on to her training when trying to arrange doggie daycare. I had previously gone to another trainer but, did not ever feel the genuine warmth, caring and professionalism Jamie shows in each of her interactions. My dog and I are not there yet but, we have made tremendous strides forward. I credit this to Jamie's approach, patience and knowing how to "read dog behavior" and their humans. STAY FAR AWAY!!! I started using Camp Bow Wow in December 2021 and at first I was happy. On January 6 2022 another argressive dog bit my dogs ear which resulted in me having to take her to the vet as her ear was punctured and was bleeding. The vet bill was $226.86 and I was initially told that I would be reimbursed since my dog was under their care. They (Camp Bow Wow) said that what would happen is that they would collect the funds from the "parents" of the dog or Camp Bow Wow would pay the vet cost and they would collect from the other party. Either way I would be made whole. That did not happen. The manager (Molly) never contacted me, so after a week I contacted the regional manager (Kristi McGovern Earl) and was told that she looked at the video and both dogs were stimulated and my dog basically instigated the incident. This is not at all what the employees told me. The employees said that my dog was walking by the other dog involved and the other dog bit my dog without warning. After several emails to Kristi the regional manager she sent me an email stating that Camp Bow Wow bares no responsibility for this incident and will not be reimbursing vet costs. You leave your dog at your own risk and CBW is not in any way responsible. Once again I highly recommend that you STAY AWAY!! read more

I just had a terrible experience here. My dog was not accepted to this doggie day care because I was told he appeared to be too anxious. I watched him on the video camera and all he did was jump up on the gate a few times. Aside from him not getting accepted I seemed to get a rude attitude from the front desk person. As an employee of VCA animal hospitals this ticks me off because they offer us a 10 % discount and I would think they would want us to recommend this place to our clients. Well I have to tell you when you can't except my pure bred/highly intelligent german shepherd into your facility I have nothing but negative things to say. The facility itself didn't seem that great anyway from the rudeness to the barking dogs upon entering and the what seemed to be limited space I will definitely tell anyone including our clients that I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I have been bringing my dog, Jake, to this Camp Bow Wow location for nearly a year now. He just LOVES this place. As soon as we walk in, he starts wimping and waging his tail, anxious to get to the back to start playing with the other dogs. The staff are always very friendly and are very good at making sure the dogs are constantly being monitored. Whenever I check the online cams, there is always at least 1 or 2 people in the play room with the dogs at all times, making sure that they all play nicely together. I use the doggie day camp at least once per week and the overnight camp every couple of months when I go out of town. I've never experienced any problems nor concerns when using this CBW location. read more

My dog absolutely loves CBW, and due to her very high energy in the play yards, recently began working with their trainer, Jaime. Jaime has been incredible about consistent updates (including post-training session e-mails AND videos of her working with my pup), positive reinforcement and creating training plans to move forward. She is so passionate about what she does, and it shows both in her videos/training methods and the changes I've seen in my dog in just a few sessions. Additionally, the manager and staff at CBW Westminster have been so sweet to my crazy dog and she adores all of them!
