The grooming dept is a complete joke!! They didn't give us sufficient information on what we needed to take to my dogs appt at 9 am so then they rescheduled us for 130 pm that day and then they completely butchered my poor little 10 month old Maltise. I would not recommend them at all. So unprofessional. I think they completely did this on purpose because my husband had called and complained after they wouldn't take her at the 9 am slot. The manager was Melissa and the workers she said she would talk to were Brook and Brooklyn so beware of this place and their lousy management, workers. We boarded our small dog at the PetsHotel for a week and had her groomed afterward. The lobby reminded us of a very nice holes lobby for humans. The check in process was a bit cumbersome and we had to provide evidence of vaccinations (I understand this is for the dog's protection) but overall it was fine. It was very clean and the people were nice. When we picked her up she was fresh from the grooming looking and smelling clean. Our dog has always had itching issues after a bath even with hypo-allergic shampoo but this time no itching at all! I called to ask what they used and found out it was "face shampoo" which must be very mild. Itching problem solved......hooray! My only complaint is that there was an extra charge to give her a Chondritin tablet every day. They consider it medicine even though no prescription is needed. I understand extra charges for play time or day care but that struck me as a bit much. Anyway, all things considered, we'll use them again and our dog seemed to enjoy herself there. She wasn't anxious to leave and "said goodbye" to the staff as we left. read more

I was freaking out about where to take my 2 cats ( sphinx) over the holidays when a friend of mine recommended Pets Mart. I looked online and it said all the reservations were full, but I figured I would call to see if there was any cancellations. I was just in luck there had been a cancellation, or so I thought. The gal on the phone was super helpful in getting all my information and getting my cats vaccine and shot info from the vet faxed over. At this point I was feeling super relieved. At the end of the call I asked if it was possible for me to bring in my home monitoring system( noting crazy just a little Guardzilla camera I can see and talk through to the cats. I was told no because of the privacy of other customers which I thought was super strange considering the dog houses included them. At this point though I was just happy for someone to be able to watch my cats last minute. So I go home and pack my things and get the cats loaded up. This was the first time I was ever leaving them or boarding them ever. So I was a little panicked. I got to Pets Mart just before closing. And I was obviously a little uncomfortable. I asked if I could see where my cats would be staying and originally told no. But there was a window I could look trough on another guest. I should have run then. I saw how small they were. My 2 cats where going to be caged in a dog size kennel together. With hardly enough room to use the card board shoe box litter box that they had set up. It literally looked like kitty prison. The lady let me go in to the back and told me that it would make me feel better. So I go into the back with my 2 cats. Looking around I notice that there are only 3 other cats staying there. Sure glad they had a cancellation right. The room itself was smaller than my walk in closet. 2 kitty prison cages were stacked on each other and 6 rows. Immediately, my first cat starts hissing and actually gets back into my kitty carrier. Huffing. The other cat was a little more open. Until another cat started swatting at him at which point he gets on top of the kitty carrier and starts crying. I'm then told that there is no play area. They don't get out and get to run around. They stay in there cages the entire time you're gone. Someone comes by to feed them and check on them 3 times a day. If you want them to have snacks that will be extra. At this point I would rather set up 4 litter boxes and 10 fancy feast and an unlimited supply of Dry food at my house than leave them here. I quickly loaded my precious babes up and got the hell out of there. Scarred for life. read more

She understood that he was shy and Seana was very kind and patient with him so he felt comfortable. I really appreciate the way she treated him and how wonderful his cut turned out! PetSmart - Pet Groomers Near Me - Westminster, Colorado

My dog goes to Banfield pet Hospital located at 144th and I 25 near the Orchard town Center... Before I moved I always had my dog groomed there. However, upon moving to my new apartment I was forced to go ahead and re-locate where she is groomed. I have scheduled three separate appointments with this specific Petsmart grooming location... Of which the first one they had a power outage and did not notify me until I walked up to the door with my dog to find that the location was closed was simply a sign on the door. The second time they called me to let me know that my grooming appointment had been canceled due to an issue that they could not accommodate me... And finally the third of which happened today where I booked an appointment online using my app (of which I've never had a problem using before) and they somehow didn't have me in the system at all. As I pulled up her appointment they said that it is not their problem and I can reschedule for the earliest of January 1. I have Dealt with many unsatisfactory services in the past... But the nonchalant carefree attitude of the people that I've spoke with along with the smell of feces that I witnessed today in the grooming salon is absolutely unbearable! Wouldn't recommend this location to my worst enemy! From here on out I will continue just to make the drive to 144th and I-25. read more

Brought my dog here to be groomed and the grooming was fine. My dog is a bit anxious and a bit of a scardey cat so I told them to do what they could (bath and nail trim) but if she didn't really let them brush her or use the nail grinder, then that was fine. I was told the service would be 2-3 hours. I showed up at the 3 hour mark and was told it would be another half hour because she was kennel drying because she was scared of the dryer (which was fine and expected). Finally, after 4 hours she was done. The staff was rude and short with me. When I dropped her off, the two groomers in the front were complaining about the one in the back. The groomer offered me dog training and I told here that we had been doing training with her elsewhere and the groomer wasn't happy with my answer. It was also expensive; I paid 65$. All in all, I really just got a bad vibe from this place and the grooming staff. I won't be back here or recommend this PetSmart grooming to anyone. read more

Our dog's nails was in major need of a trim so I decided to take him to Petsmart since they have a pet salon and grooming section. Since it was our first time here, it took awhile to get our dog's paper work into the system. But I was told that the next time I come, it should be fairly quick to in-process him for a service. They then took him and handed me the paperwork to go to the front to pay for his service while they got started. I read that the $19 "Pawdicure" came with a scented cologne spritz, but I asked them not to do that since I don't like perfumes. When I came back from paying, I watched them work on my dog. He's skittish when it comes to people working on his nails, but the technicians did a good job keeping him calm. One had to soothe him and pet him as the other one worked on trimming and grinding his nails. The also did a good job cleaning his ears considering they had to distract him so that he wouldn't get scared. When they handed me back my dog, I noticed that they didn't offer a bandana, which was listed as part of the Pawdicure package. I asked for one and they gave it to me a little hesitantly. I like this Petsmart because it's clean and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted some salmon-based treats for my dog and one of the staff members was able to list multiple options that they offer. However, the treats were expensive, so we ended up not getting any. read more

I like that this Petsmart doesn't stink. I seem to have frequented a lot of other stores that make my nose wrinkle when I walk in. Obviously this location is better taken care of than others. The floors are always clean, help is available when needed, and the lines are not often long at the checkout. Petsmart is a great option for standard, commercial pet supplies. This location offers the standard vet services & obedience training. There is an indoor training & puppy socialization area that is open for viewing from the store. I used the grooming services at the other location before they moved to Church Ranch and they did decent Schnauzer cuts, but I was disappointed I had to leave my dog there for 4 hours. The groomers did not work on one dog at a time, so they would rotate through the dogs at different stages. It would be nice if Petsmart would branch out and start carrying some higher quality, grain-free dog food such as Instinct, Taste of the Wild, Nature's Variety (dry, canned, & raw) but I'm just as happy to support local businesses for these products as well. read more

I have worked for Petsmart since 2003 and use to love my job untill a year ago when I transferred to the Westminster store from the grand junction store. The management/ staff are aweful. Our dog is very sensitive to noise, and we scheduled our appt for 7 am. We were very pleased with how Otto looked when we picked him up. Highly recommend Sandy, and this Pets Mart store!! read more

This is the first time I have used their boarding services. The pros ~ very helpful friendly staff who seem to care about your pet. Clean environment. Cons ~ paid for exit bath, definitely didn't wash the pup's face (food stuck to her face, fur around mouth and chin matted from the peanut butter Kong treats (have to pay for). Don't waste your money & do it yourself. Was informed when I called to check in on the pups, they do not go outside for walks or potty breaks (I just assumed they did). They are taken to a concrete room to take care of business 2x day. It is nothing great, but not the worst. read more

The day camp at the Pets Hotel is awesome! I have taken my fur baby to a number of doggie day cares in the area (including some of the bigger more "ritzy" places) but this Pets Hotel is the best one we have been to! They remembered my dog the second time I brought her in - which shows how much they care about the pets! She comes home from the Pets Hotel exhausted and happy, rather than jittery and stressed out, which is what happened at a neighboring doggie day care. The employees really love the dogs and try and make them feel comfortable. And wonderful customer service for the humans :) read more

I come here way too often, but that's what happens when you have so many animals. The people are always really nice and chatty, and will help you with anything that may come up. They will also put your name down and give you a call whenever a particular item is out of stock and they finally receive it. I highly recommend and will continue to come here. read more

Grooming appointment at 12:30 for a 13 yr old husk. 30 minutes. 6:30 finally walked out with my husky. Once outside peed a river which made me wonder if they ever let him out to releave himself. Got home he went straight to his water bowl. Which made wonder did he get any water. After settling down with my husky giving him love and attention I noticed he was still wet and still had underlying patches of hair that did not get brushed out in the 6 hours he was there. Yes they comped the visit but that is not the point. They clearly neglected my huskies well being while he was in their care. Yesterday I had to leave my 5 year old tabby cat at the Pet Hotel for about 9 hours. I was very nervous because I've never left her alone with anyone, she even goes on trips with us. Yesterday I had maintenance done on my apartment and they said she needed to be out of the house to do so. The booking process was very easy and they even got my cats vaccination records from the vet themselves! The paperwork was very easy and online. I called a second time after making the appointment just to check my cat had the correct vaccinations and to settle my mind on where she's staying. They were very helpful the second time around and even informed me I could pick her up anytime I wanted which made me happy because I didn't want to leave her overnight. My cat has crazy separation anxiety, like I can't even close the curtain when I shower because she cries. So when I came in on the day of our appointment the lady who checked me in was very patient and even walked my cat back on her leash (she loves the leash and walking by herself). After I picked her up the ladies at the counter were gushing over her and how lovable she was, it warmed my heart knowing my cat was with attentive and kind people all day! When checkout came they even gave me 50% off my first stay and informed me about Cat Planet this weekend! When I got my cat back she didn't want to leave, she kept trying to walk back to the back room. They said they played with her a lot and let her sleep a lot too. When she came home she was very sleepy but this morning she's her normal perky self! I don't trust anyone with my cat so I'm happy to know I have a place where we both like to go now! I had a wonderful experience with the staff at the PetSmart in Westminster!! From the phone call with Kayla to set up my reservations for dog day camp to meeting the rest of the staff when dropping off and picking up my dogs at Doggie Day Camp. They took such great care of my 2 dogs Kale'a and Lexi. They all were professional, efficient and welcoming. I liked that they were there to watch my pooches till I got off at work at 7:45pm!! Will be using their services again and will also recommend them to friends!!! read more

The first time we used the PetSmart Hotel we were VERY impressed. Our dog had just been neutered and needed extra love while we were away. They gave us a report card of what he did during his stay, when he ate, called during his stay of how he was...etc... They washed his bedding, gave us a discount. The whole thing was so great that we decided to use them again. What a complete 180! It was different staff and they practically threw our dog back to us the second time. He was hoarse, had pee stained on all 4 paws, bedding was gross, and no daily report. She made us feel like he had been a huge burden. He was only there for ONE NIGHT that time. I wish I'd gotten her name. I'm so disappointed this second time that I thought I'd warn others. PetSmart, please make sure your staff are caring for our animals correctly or they need to look for a job elsewhere. The first time was AMAZING! I have waited to post a comment about this place. We use to take our dog here twice a week for almost 6 years. When ever we had to go out of town we would always leave them here. Over the year they had a turnover of help but it seems toward the end it got worst. Our dog loved going and would always be at the door waiting to go as if they knew that they were going. Then it got to the point when we got them there they would act like they didn't want to go in. The last time they went when I went to pick him up the girl that gave me his pet report had written in that he had behaved himself that day implying there had been previous issues that we were never made aware of. After that day when it was time for him to go we count even get him in the car to go. It has taken almost 9 months for him to finally realize that when he gets to go for a ride we are not taking him there. I don't know what happened or what someone there might have done to him that day but I would really like to know because obviously whatever it was has made him scared of going there. All I can say is be very careful if all of a sudden your pet loves going there and starts acting like their scared to go. Just wish I knew what happened but never will since nobody will ever tell you read more

We have a 14-year-old puggle with severe separation anxiety. My husband and I have made a lot of accommodations to give our pup the best life. One of those accommodations is bringing her to Doggie Day Camp and boarding at Petsmart. We take advantage of the 1/2 day camp when we want to run errands or have a date night. The staff here is always incredibly welcoming and inviting for Rhody. They give her so much love and attention that now she just walks right in and to the Petshotel door. We walked in, knowing we wanted to get a rat. We entered the door and the lady at the front desk asked us if we needed help right away. Great customer service. We told her what we wanted and she called an associate who met us by the rats right away. He opened up all the cages one by one so we could meet and explore and pet the rats. We were probably pretty obnoxious and grossly over thought our decision, but he stayed there and present the entire time. The rat came to like 16.00 or something like that. All of the people there were really nice and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond their job. read more

Groomers are all great and do an excellent job with dogs. My big complaint is with the check in-out process. Taking 2 55 pound dogs through the store, keeping them away from other dogs can be a challenge. Check in always takes at least 10-15 min. As does check out. How about a kiosk swipe so you can check in and pay to reduce the time it currently takes. And I'd prefer to have the groomers in the front, maybe even their own door so I can get to them easier. read more

One very bad customer service experience can keep you from ever returning. Today my two sons and I visited to buy goldfish. We bought the 10 gal. tank and everything else the day before. We got the go-ahead from 2 helpful staff to start with 2-3 small fish. On returning to the store today, one employee informed me in front of my excited kids that: The tank is too small We can only buy one fish The fish will die in a few months anyway We must buy a 20 gal. tank The stores warranty for them is now in question And inferred we don't know what we are doing and are ignorant People who lack basic customer service skills should not interact with the public. That guy, who I will keep nameless, turned two young boys' excitement into dread. I've had many aquariums in the past, and the way he handled the encounter in front of my kids told them dad is stupid and their fish will die soon. And that the 2 other employees who advised us the day before were wrong. We will go to Petco now where years of visits suggest they better screen their applicants before hiring. read more

I have lived down the street from this store for 6 years. I use to take my corgis in to be groomed. The staff is so unfriendly, they did not trim my corgi as asked but instead shaved her. I only started going back to have Frances groom them as she does an amazing job. Too bad she left Petsmart but I have found her at a new place The Groom closet in Broomfield. I will make the drive just to have Frances groom my pups!!!! The Groom closet is getting an amazing groomer!!!! read more

I just picked up my Shih Tzu and she looks so good!!! Mariah did a fabulous job!! On my way into the store I stepped in some dog poop (really this dog owner could not clean up after their dog in front of a pet store) anyway, one of the employees was very helpful, he gave me a paper towel and pointed me in the direction of the Oops station so I could try and clean off my shoe. Very disappointed with petsmart in Westminster, Colorado Store number 1458!!! I was planning to put my two little girls into daycare today but was informed that the two dogs were going to be separated. I have a 9 month old Aussie mix and a 16 week old baby pit. When calling and making an reservation for the girls too play the guy took all my information when I heard some lady in the background telling him that pitbulls are nasty dogs! Excuse me!! Who the hell are you to judge my baby. I asked the guy who was that lady judging my dog when she doesn't know a single thing about her. I asked him why can't my baby girl play with the other dogs in daycare and not be placed in a caged area alone. He stated to me because pitbulls tend to play ruff. I stated that's not true all puppies at 14 weeks more or less would play ruff. Then I said are you telling me that I'm going to pay you $22.00 per dog just for my baby to sit in a cage for over 6 hours and get a few moments of play time alone and potty breaks when she can stay home with me and have a whole house of freedom to play and unlimited attention from me! I don't think so. So my Aussie would be mingling making new friends but my baby pitbull is an outcast. This i say PETSMART need to be a shamed of yourself for Profiling, Judging, and basically be a Very Racist company towards pitbulls. Not every pitbull is a killing machine as you narrow minded pitbull haters think or what you see on Tv! I would asked all my pitbull lovers to support my anger towards this.
