But there is an information display if you want to adopt a cat when they're not there! I noticed a few dead Beta fishies by the entrance display. Decent store with a great location because of the east access. The prices of standard pet food is less expensive than the local Kroger. The staff isn't super friendly, but it was the end of the day and they may be ready to go home. If you're a reward member, the savings are great when you buy multiples of an item. Care for the animals there needs to improve a bit. I checked out the hamsters, who had small wheels to run on. One had a knocked over wheel which was blocking the water. I told the cashier in the front, who called someone to let them know, but 25 minutes later, they were still trying to get to the water bottle, as no one came to help them. Then tried to sell a 19 dollar book of coupons to save me 15 today which means I still owe another 4 and buy a booklet . Then I tell the store manager it's buy one and 25 off which Initially says buy and third is 25 percent off . There trying to push a booklet of coupons , and trying to sell at regular price . My day was wasted and they said the system couldn't give me the 25 percent even though the manager is advertising on the shelf . I guess the customer isn't always right . yesterday was my miniature 15 year birthday, I took PetSmart to get him and brushed along with that comes the the ears you know my dog was really happy when I dropped him off when I picked him up I was waiting for Jamie to bring me my dog as I hear my 6 pound miniature dachshund, gagging as she is pulling him from the back needless to say I lost it a little bit, and I told to call the manager because she told me that I had to pay the whole $32 and they didn't do anything manager came back there he knows me I shopped there all the time. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Today my dad and I tried to take our two Australian Shepherds (Cooper and Sadie) to get groomed and the experience was HORRIBLE. When we were dropping them off we met this frustrated couple who had been waiting for their dog to be done for 5 hours. Already starting off bad. Our dogs were pretty anxious because it was their first time at a salon. So when Jessica (the cashier girl) tried to take Cooper(with a choker leash instead of the harness we brought them in with) to the back he jumped up on her because he was nervous. She let out a loud groan and acted like she had just gotten shot. It was ridiculous. Jessica came back to the front and tried taking Sadie to the back(again with the choker leash) and she started freaking out. Instead of calming her down the girl just pulled tighter on the leash which caused Sadie's eyes to turn red and she started gasping for air. I spoke up out of fear for my dog but was told "it's fine." And then one of the groomers proceeded to say "If she keeps acting like this we'll have to call you to pick her up." Before we had even walked back to our car they called us saying we needed to pick them up because Sadie "looked like she was going to get aggressive." Our dogs have never been aggressive towards any animals or humans but they are nervous by nature. I was so infuriated that they had given up on our dogs so quickly. I didn't say a word to them and my dad had to go to the back to retrieve our dogs. On top of all this, Jessica brought him the wrong dog saying it was Cooper. It was not. My dad had to show her where our dog actually was. These people are completely unfit, incompetent and incapable of working with dogs. He's young so of course I would doing most of the caring for but when I asked for help, I was pretty much told you need to go do a lot of research before getting one. I had done some research but wanted help with what all was needed to buy. She basically just told me no I couldn't buy one and didn't provide me with any knowledge. I was so disgusted by this store. I went there to replace fish that I lost in February. I walk to the fish department and start looking what I saw was horrible. In every tank there were multiple dead fish. There were fish eating dead fish. This location should not be allowed to have any live animals. Needless to say, I did not purchase any of the fish as I have no idea how are why so many dead fish would be in a tank. I feel bad for all the animals in this store. I won't be back. And definitely don't take your children here. Edit.. I contacted the corporate office and they seemed a bit concerned about this. I was told that I would get a call within 24-48 hours. Less than an hour later I received a call from a woman named Deborah from another store. I have no idea what her position is but, she did not care in the least. I told her I had pics of this. She also explained to me that they scoop the dead fish it before the store opens, but, if that's true I wonder why by early afternoon there are s many dead. I expressed my concern about the other live animals in the store and Tony the associate that after looking at dead fish for more than 5 minutes (no big deal except for all the dead fish I was looking at). Walks by me and says "can I help you". I said I was looking to buy fish. He promptly got on the phone and ignored me., then walks to the back room and didn't return until I had walked around the store looking at the other live animals. This was even more disturbing. I politely asked his name and said thank you and left. Deborah remember her? She told me that he was on the phone getting trained. She said she spoke with him however, I have my doubts . Please read the reviews for these stores . I wish I had but, had been going there for many years with only minor issues not worth reporting. Even though this store is less than mile walking distance from my home I will not visit this location any longer. I've come to find that the employees and manager are rude, except for ONE older woman with pretty white hair who works the cash register who is always pleasant and nice to work with. Unfortunately not every employee there is like her. Every visit left me upset. There is one young man who clearly doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to birds and fishes. He sold us 2 female parakeets when we asked him whether they male or female. He said they were both male. We didn't want to females because they are loud and aggressive towards one another. Well guess what. 2 months later the birds get noisy and start pecking at one another to the point where we had to buy 2 cages to separate them. They were females. Our last visit was to get my son a fish and there was no one working the fish area, given this during the COVID pandemic so there was a limited number of staff. My son went to ask someone for help and he was told very rudely "In a minute, I'm busy." Needless to say we didn't stick around and left immediately. Not only is the staff rude but the volunteer that comes in to take care of the cats in the adoption area is a bitch. My daughters were looking at the cats and the woman kept giving them nasty looks from behind the kennels. She came out to take some stuff to her car and gave my girls a nasty look wanting to know what they were looking at. Um hello, the cats up for adoption. I had a word with her demanding to know what her problem was and she ignored me and walked away. I made a complaint to the managers at Petsmart and to the cat adoption facility she volunteered at. No response from the facility but the Petsmart managers advised me they will address her behavior. read more

I called in today finally ready to deal with the situation & after poor reception & a long period of two holds the agent finally found my order & then needed to "get more information" this went on and on, seriously it was a bag of cosequin chews that is unopened just email me my proof & be willing to exchange it! My friend recently lost his pup and Chewy was wonderful to partner with, they went well beyond the call to show empathy & grace! I seriously have been a loyal customer for YEARS but understand why so many have left to shop elsewhere! I am disappointed & ashamed of the brand - I suppose if we lose a pet you don't see the value in retaining our business (as of once we grieve we won't consider adopting again)! We have been going to PetSmart for years for my rescue pit/lab Tripod with NO issues. I scheduled an appointment for a bath and nail grind last week and was phoned TWO hours before my appointment today. They said they couldn't get her in until next week. I asked if there was another groomer who could take her and Bethany flipped out and told me I needed to speak to her manager, so she transferred me. The manager said I could bring my dog in today. When i got in the check in person checked her out and said it would be several hours due to new protocols; I told her that was fine. I got a call TWENTY minutes after i dropped her off saying I needed to come get her. They said she was soaking wet (I told them to just towel dry her) and that they couldn't grind her nails because i took two people (BTW i saw THREE people there, none of which wore masks). She said she took her to ban field next door and they did it but they clipped too short on a nail and it was bleeding. They also said my dog tried to bite the person... this is a dog that was literally tortured for years and used for breeding before she was rescued. She has NEVER snapped at a human. Ever. When I picked her up, she still had the same length of nails and they didn't even brush her!! She smells like wet dog. BEWARE! Do not take your baby here. read more

I took my puppy to get groomed. I told the girl I wanted to be short but with a style. She literally shaved all my puppy's hair and gave her a very ugly haircut. There's nothing close to what I have asked the girl. She cut my puppy's nails and made her bleed. Didn't even told me about until I got in my car and looked at her nails she still had blood on her nail.. they Charged $80 dllrs for something that I could of done my self at home with some regular clippers. I took her there to get her first cut and to ended up with this crap. I was very disappointed I don't recommend this place if you have an emergency to get your pet groom. HORRIBLE... I went here to get my dog a haircut and bath. First the line was backed up just to DROP her off..... when I finally get into where they groom the dogs it is NASTY inside.... hair everywhere and not clean. I suck it up and go to pay for my dog's grooming service. Then I wait in line with two people in front of me and one cashier. The cashier literally takes 15-20 mins talking to these people about flea care meanwhile the line is piling up...... to make it worse they open another register and the women behind me skips me.... at this point I am just annoyed with the awful customer service. The location off of 377 isn't bad, and I usually find everything that I'm looking for. The first shift staff is quite young, yet they are very attentive to customer service needs when it is required. This location seems a bit smaller than the Heritage Trace location, yet the merchandise is just as easy to find. Overall, this is a store of convenience when it comes to my pet's needs. read more

It's like shopping at Lowe's and Home Depot; They are always going to have better deals on different things. I managed to find better deals here on cat deterrent tape (to keep them from scratching furniture) and also on cat treats. This store also carries our preferred cat food: Blue Buffalo kitten formula. That reason alone will having me stopping in for a few more months. I also think this store presents better than Petco. It just seems cleaner brighter newer, but bottom line is that I'm looking for a deal. The store with the better deal gets my money, so in that respect, they are both A-OK to me. read more

Please do not trust your pets to this location. Today, we had our Schnauzer (3 yrs old) and Schnauzer / Yorkie mix (4 years old) in for grooming. We got a call after 2.5 hours of dropping them off that our Yorkie mix was having respiratory distress and that his eyes were "red". Upon picking him up, it was revealed that his blood vessels in his eyes had actually BURST and were protruding from his eye. This is clearly an injury that occurred due to a tight harness / inattentiveness from his groomer (new groomer). Improperly trained staff put pets in danger, and we're lucky that this groomer did not cause any more harm. Also, when utilizing this company's online appointment system, apparently it does not matter who you request as their groomer as we chose Sabine (who my dogs know and are comfortable with), and she did not do the actual grooming. read more

On this particular visit When I picked up my dog she had burns on her skin all over from the furminator being left on too long. The tech when questioned didn't know how long to properly leave on skin. The vet didn't feel the need for my dog to be seen. Never even looked at her. Not a place I recommend! I took my dog here for a tumor. Had a difficult time making an appointment, due to a shortage of vets. The vet that initially saw my dog that recommended the operation ended up not being the vet that did the cutting due to it being her day off. The vet that was there the day of the operation had never seen my dog before and advised me that there was a strong chance that i would have to go to another location due to this facility not having the ability to do the type of cutting that needed doing. I was extremely confused by this and really feel like this was not what i or my dog needed to go through. Take your animals some place else if your are looking for professional treatment of your pets!!! read more
