My first time grooming experience with PetSmart left me in shock and total disappointment with my pets grooming. I took my Golden Doodle into the Lavista Rd Tucker location for a full service grooming at the cost of $160 bucks. I have a 8 month old Golden Doodle with curly hair that simply needed to be bathed, brushed and trimmed in specific areas around the head & chest. What they did was cut all my dogs hair off from noise to tail. No style, No type of definition, just a buzz like cut of my dog. The very definition of Grooming is providing a service that maintains the appearance, skin, coat health, and overall well-being using skills to make the appearance of dog better, without dramatically changing its appearance. Simply put, my poor dog was given a full body effortless buzz cut. His fur shaved off in the middle of winter, that's unevenly cut and frankly looks horrible. It's the middle of winter and my dogs fur has completely been cut off is not practicing common sense of considering the health of the pet by unnecessarily cutting all his hair off. I'm highly upset with the results and so far have not been given an apology, only shallow explanations and excuses.

Horrible customer service. At one time, the staff was really professional but now everyone runs when you have questions or need help. Made grooming appointment and was told I needed to wait until my groomer came to check in. I went to this location for over 10 years, well that is no more. I'll be checking out Petco

Went in yesterday to find a hamster for my daughter and was disgusted at the wheel the little guy was running on was so filthy. It made me sad. Do they not clean these poor animals cages and toys? If you're going to keep animals in cages to sell them it's the business job to take care of these animals while in their custody. I'm not even going to touch on Banfield Vets at runs out of Petsmart. Those people are unempathetic, overly booked, and nothing more than an animal assembly line. No emotion in them, no sign of actual care. Just trying to get that $$ as the owners grieve their animals illnesses.

Every time I come to this petsmart they NEVER HAVE CRICKETS. If my geckos dies it's going to be a problem. Don't waste your gas or time.

I sometimes wonder about the grooming staff--they don't look like they want to be there, and I wonder what they do behind that closed door.

DID YOU KNOW UNCERTIFIED PEOPLE ARE BEING LEFT WITH YOUR PETS ALONE? -FUN FACT... IN ORDER TO GROOM CATS THE FOLLOWING MUST BE DONE: Cat grooming certification validates expertise in handling, bathing, trimming, and managing feline behavior, with key organizations like the National Cat Groomers Institute (NCGI) offering titles like Certified Feline Master Groomer (CFMG) through comprehensive online/in-person training, while International Professional Groomers (IPG) .... THEY'RE NOT REGISTERED! BUT THEY'RE ADVERTISING CATS SERVICES. I wasn't aware of this at the time, but You can easily search a groomer's name, or a salon's name to see if they are a "FULL SERVICING SALON." I'M GLAD MY NEW GROOMER IS KNOWLEDGABLE AND TOLD ME A FEW THINGS.... --THEY'RE NOT EVEN CAT CERTIFIED TO GROOM CATS!!! GROOMERS LEGALLY HAVE TO BE CERTIFIED FOR CERTAIN SERVICES FOR CATS. FURBUSTERS WERE NOT EVEN LISTED ON THEIR ORGANIZATION . IF THEY ATTEMPT TO REMOVE ANY OF MY REVIEWS I'M SEEKING LEGAL ADVICE.-- DISCLAIMER: This is a real, human-written review based on my personal experience. This is not automated, not AI-generated, and not spam. I am sharing this honestly because I believe pet owners deserve transparency. Review (if I could.... I would put 0) I brought my cat in for grooming and had a really disappointing experience. The handling felt rushed and rough, and I didn't feel like my pet was treated with the care and patience cats need. As a pet parent, that was extremely upsetting to witness. What made this worse was how the situation was handled afterward. Instead of taking accountability or addressing concerns professionally, negative feedback appears to be reported or dismissed rather than acknowledged. That lack of accountability is concerning and discouraging for customers who are simply trying to speak up for their pets. I do want to acknowledge that not every staff member was the issue -- some were kind and tried to be helpful. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me uncomfortable, and I won't be returning. I'm sharing this so other pet owners can make an informed decision. Our pets can't speak for themselves, so gentle care, accountability, and compassion truly matter. This was my first time ever going to FurBusters, and it was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had with a groomer. I only took my cat Tux in for a bath, nothing else. When I picked him up, they had completely shaved him down and even cut his whiskers. If you know anything about cats, whiskers aren't just for looks -- they help them balance and feel safe. Cutting them can really mess them up mentally and physically. If I did that at home, it would be called animal abuse. The fact that a professional grooming place did this like it was normal is just wrong. When I called about it, Layla brushed me off saying "he probably moved too much." They wouldn't even let me talk to or educate Bunny, the groomer who did it. No apology. No accountability. Just excuses. Tux came home scared, confused, and uncomfortable .... all from what was supposed to be a simple bath. That's not grooming, that's neglect. I really don't understand how they can do that to an animal and act like it's okay. If I were to do this to my own cat it would be considered animal abuse. This was my first visit and definitely my last. If you love your pets, please don't bring them here. They clearly don't care about the animals or the owners who trust them. BEWARE: FURBUSTERS ARE TRYING TO DELETE ALL BAD REVIEWS! PLEASE MAKE SURE YO PUT A DISCLAIMER THAT YOU'RE A HUMAN LEAVING A REVIEW! #CatGrooming #FurBusters #AnimalWelfare

Let me put it this way:…read more This place ain't about to give your dog some pedicure or give it a facial scrub. There's no nonsense, no pretense, and that's the best part. Alejandro just does his magic--all size puppies/dogs and non-neutered dogs too. Your dog will come out smelling like baby soap with flowing hair. Alejandro does an excellent job explaining what needs to be done to your dog--he will show you why sometimes you just gotta shave your dog instead of getting it shampooed, dematted, etc. He's great with animals, easily communicates and most of all, an awesome groomer. Thanks!

I don't understand how this cut could have been completed and looked over and decided that it was…read morefinished. I've been going here for years and it's always been subpar but it's close to my job. The entire underside of his head has long, uneven, janky long patches. Every single piece is uneven with it's counterpart. He left a matt on his face. Random long pieces out of his ears. Random long pieces everywhere. One side of his snout is shaved close and the other isn't. There's shave marks all over his body, and he shaved his ears down. It's a shihtzu, that is not how you cut shihtzu's hair. I own a hair salon, I could have done so much better of a job. This was treated as an all over buzz down, not groomed. This is not a cut, style, or shape this is just a buzzed down hack job. I asked for a refund, he said he would "fix it". There's nothing to fix it's all hacked off. He said he doesn't give refunds, and as a salon owner I know that he could but just doesn't want to. I paid $135 for this for 2 dogs. Atrocious. I've never been amazed here, so this is not dog grooming, this is the dog buzz cut shop. If you don't care what your dog looks like, I guess go here. Oh, and he did not give them a bath, they came back smelling bad. So...just a hacksaw shave all over for $135, not fixable, and no refunds.
