I was able to find what I needed for my dog. I bought a leash and some dog treats. It looks like the store is undergoing some internal renovations. The live, fish selection is so smaller than it used to be. The place needs to be re-organized as it seems to be a bit of a mess on the inside. I've been coming to this location for years, but I think I have never done a Yelp review on this location it definitely needs a facelift.

Boarded my Pomeranian and Chihuahua here for the first time ever. We have never spent more than 24 hours apart since I got both of them. I was so nervous, but I was going on a trip. The receptionist had really good energy and the staff members felt friendly and welcoming. I trust that they took good care of my pets and had no reason to think otherwise. Thank you so much!! we will be back

Not sure why it this place doesn't get a higher rating, we really like it. We just got a little puppy and this is the go to place for us. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The store is well stocked, clean, and spacious. In addition to the retail space, they also have grooming, training, pet hotel, and pet hospital! Tip: the grooming folks recommended us to get the Puppy Guide, it was $20 (in a locked storage that you need to ask them to get for you), and it has all kinds of coupons and free services. We started saving with things we needed right away. Parking: never a problem, easy access on both Hawthorn and Sepulveda. The Petsmart on PCH is pretty good, also, but much smaller and depending on where you live, it's a little harder to get in and out.

Visited yesterday and they have three small tanks full of gold fishes that are dying.

Muñeca my dog loves this place. She really enjoys coming to Day camp. People is really nice. My husband and I feel relieved that she has so much fun and new friends every time we bring her. They have events a couple times a month and they send us amazing pictures.

The parking lot, usually empty outside PetSmart where the old Toys "R" Us used to be, is a very nostalgic spot.

My dogs love to go there almost every day, and I can't say enough about every member of the staff. They are kind, accommodating beyond measure, and they communicate with each other on all aspects of my dogs. Dropping the ball is something that doesn't seem to happen here. This is the fifth daycare my dogs have been to across multiple states, and I do not hesitate to say this is the best I have experienced. I occasionally board my dogs there as well, and it has always been a great experience. They have had baths and nail trims also. It doesn't get any better than this.

While they do provide report cards, have cameras, and have staff continuously clearing the play area, it still does smell a bit like dog pee when you walk in due to there not being any outdoor space/ventilation to the outside (to my knowledge, the other day cares I've visited don't have this same issue). I did the 3 days of daycare for $49 special and just used one day since I found another daycare closer to me with an outdoor area. If you live in Torrance then this is a great option for you. The staff here is really kind and the older woman who works at the front desk has her sales pitch down pat! She doesn't come off as sales oriented but she told me all about the different things they offered and I was eating it up. Props to them for having such a great staff.

I got belly rubs on demand, endless attention, playtime with new friends, and enough treats to make me question whether I should permanently relocate. Every time I walked in, the humans here knew my name and acted excited to see me -- which, as you can imagine, is exactly the level of celebrity treatment I deserve. The place was super clean, safe, and smelled surprisingly good for a building full of dogs making questionable life choices. My parents also loved getting updates and photos of me living my best life while they were away pretending to miss me. (Jasmine, Christina, Ericy, Iliana takes the best selfies of me!) By the time I got home, I was completely exhausted from all the fun, zoomies, and pampering from the staff. 10 out of 10 I would definitely board again and cannot wait until my next visit! The first time I brought my cat here a few years ago, it was during the time of the pandemic, and what you had to do was let them know that you had arrived and were outside, then they would come out and get your furry friend, they would take them inside, take care of them for the amount of time that you had booked. For me, that was one week. Then, when you picked them up, you would let them know you were there, and about a half hour later they would bring them outside. Overall, that experience went pretty well. My most recent experience with their boarding facility was not bad per se, but it was a bit annoying. The pandemic crisis is long over, and so everything is person-to-person. I had booked a facilities for my two cats, just for the day, because we were having some work done on our home, and we didn't want our cats to be disturbed. I drove up, dropped them off, they took them to the interior facilities, and all was well. In the late afternoon, I went to pick them up. The first thing that happened was, is that their tech, or whatever position he held, brought both of my cats back in one pet carrier. Now, my two cats like each other, but not that much to be stuffed inside one carrier. I mean, the small carriers for cats are not that big. But apparently this young employee had no clue about what's going on, so he stuffed them both in there so tightly that they could barely even move. They were obviously very upset. I informed him that I had brought them in two separate carriers. He seemed a bit annoyed and flustered with me. Annoyed and flustered for his mistake. He took them to the back room. About twenty minutes later, re-emerged with my two cats in our separate carriers. I brought the cats home, and when I arrived and let them out of the carriers, I realize that this young employee had taken the padding out of the bottom the carriers, leaving my cats just gripping onto whatever those carriers are made out of. None of the thick furry padding was in place. What he did with that padding, I have no idea? But, it was certainly in there when I brought them into the facility, it should've been there when I brought it home. I thought about calling up the place, but they had already closed by this point. And, by the morning, I imagine that they wouldn't even know where to look, where this employee had put those pieces of furry padding. So I let it go. I really hate to write negative reviews about businesses, but when they do things like this, I think that they really need to be called out. And for you people reading this, I think you need to keep in mind that their staff members do things like this. Those were very expensive carriers. Now, I just have to donate them. Thus, that employee cost me about the same price to buy new cat carriers as I paid for their entire stay for the day at this facility. Just something to think about. Be sure to check to make sure all the elements of your pet carriers are intact when you bring your furry friend home.

From the very beginning, the entire process was easy, professional, and reassuring. Barbie, the owner, was incredibly responsive and took the time to answer all of our questions. We asked for her honest opinion about whether 15-minute or 30-minute visits would be more appropriate for Harper, and we really appreciated that she gave us thoughtful, unbiased advice based on his needs rather than simply recommending the longer visit. That honesty gave us a great deal of confidence that Harper's well-being was always the priority. Our sitter, Lindsay, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, caring, and clearly took the time to get to know Harper rather than simply stopping by to complete a checklist. The updates after each visit were one of our favorite parts of the service. We received thoughtful notes and videos by text after every visit. We especially appreciated that everything came through text rather than requiring a separate app. The communication was outstanding and gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. We genuinely looked forward to Lindsay's notes and videos after each visit. Her thoughtful updates let us follow Harper's progress throughout our trip, and it was wonderful to see him become more and more comfortable with her. When she told us he had even let her pick him up, we knew just how much trust he had developed. When we arrived home, Harper was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Lindsay even left us a thoughtful handwritten note and drawing, which was such a sweet personal touch. We couldn't have asked for a better first experience with a professional pet sitter. We will absolutely use this service again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate in-home pet care.

5 STARS FOR OUR AMAZING TRAINER JOSH…read more 1 STAR FOR CORPORATE LEAVING US WITH ABRUPT ANNOUNCEMENT OF CANCELLED TRAINING SESSIONS. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Josh as Daisy's trainer, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Josh was not just a dog trainer to us--he became someone we trusted, someone who understood our family, and someone who genuinely cared about Daisy and her success. From our very first session, Josh took the time to truly understand Daisy. He learned her personality, her behaviors, her challenges, and our family's concerns. He never judged us or made us feel like Daisy was a "bad dog." Instead, he was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He made us feel like we were finally on the right path. Having Josh come to our home made such a huge difference. He was able to work with Daisy in the environment where she actually lives and help us learn how to handle situations as a family. He didn't just train Daisy he trained and educated us as her family too. He always listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and made sure we understood what we could do at home to continue helping her. After only FOUR sessions with Josh, we saw an incredible difference in Daisy. She learned so much in such a short amount of time. Most importantly, she was finally able to coexist with our 3-year-old child and 7-year-old child in a way that we had struggled to achieve before. Now our children love Daisy, they play with her, and we are able to see them building a bond with her. Watching that transformation has meant so much to our family. Josh cared about Daisy like she was more than just another dog he was assigned to train. He genuinely celebrated her progress, understood when she was struggling, and always treated her with patience and kindness. You could tell that he truly cared about both Daisy and our family. We felt comfortable with him, we trusted him, and Daisy trusted him--and that trust is incredibly important when working with a rescue dog. Unfortunately, after our fourth session, we were informed that the company had decided to cut their Dog training program and that Josh would no longer be able to continue training Daisy. We were honestly extremely upset and disappointed. I feel that the company should have allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions of Daisy's training with Josh. We had finally found someone who was willing to understand Daisy, work with her, and help our family. It took a lot for us to get to this point, and stopping her training halfway through felt incredibly discouraging, leaving us out of the dark and what we were going to do next. By that point, we had built a relationship with Josh, and Daisy had built a relationship with him as well. Starting over with someone new after finally finding someone we trusted was very difficult for us. We wish the company had taken that relationship and Daisy's specific circumstances into consideration before making the decision to stop her training with Josh. The most frustrating part is that we were finally seeing the results we had been hoping and working so hard for. Daisy was learning. Our children were becoming comfortable with her. Our family was learning how to better communicate with and understand her. And Josh had become an important part of that progress. Although Daisy's training with Josh has unfortunately stopped, we are incredibly grateful for everything he accomplished with her in just four sessions. He gave Daisy a chance to succeed, and he gave our family confidence that we could help her become the happy, well-adjusted dog we knew she could be. Josh is truly an amazing trainer and an incredible person. His patience, compassion, knowledge, and genuine care for the animals and families he works with are very special. We just wish Doggieland had allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions with Josh. After everything our family and Daisy had been through, we finally found someone who understood her and helped her thrive. Four sessions made such a tremendous difference in our family's life, and we can only imagine how much more progress Daisy could have made if she had been able to finish the full program with Josh. Thank you, Josh, for everything you have done for Daisy and for our family. We will always be grateful that you were the person who helped us see just how much potential our Daisy had.
