I had a good experience with my other kitty here last year & felt confident taking my other one in but NEVER AGAIN. I told them to give my elderly kitty a flea bath & sanitary trim. The lady who was to do this work looked quite unwell & I felt uncomfortable leaving my feisty, 18 pound kitty with her. When I returned after an hour, she explained that he had a bloody paw because an outer nail came off and she proceeded to BS me saying, "you know, it's natural." Like hell it's natural for him to be BLOODY. They also didn't do the flea bath like I asked, gave him an aloe bath instead because they "only found a couple of fleas." WTactualF? I am the customer! I am paying you for a service. You do that service because I requested it. If you don't think he needs that service, then you CALL ME and discuss it with me to get my approval first! Next, they did a piss poor job on the sanitary trim. The whole point of it is to clear the area on their bum so that they don't get matter stuck in the fur and they trimmed very little fur. And to top it off, they returned him to me in a soggy state. Terrible. I'm so angry right now. My poor kitty didn't deserve to be treated like this. How traumatizing for him. If you love your pet, go elsewhere. read more

Turned away at 2:30pm for self wash being told that it is by appointment only and that the person using it at that time was the last dog for the day even though they close at 5pm. It should be more clear on the website or yelp if you are appointment only for the self wash station, as i drove way out of my way to come to your business. The lady even seemed annoyed that I was asking. Won't be back. read more

I was so hoping this place would be good. We just moved to the area and we've been looking for a local groomer. We tried it out today and unfortunately this is not the place. They do not follow directions and they are not qualified to handle long hair breeds. I spent some time with the groomer to go over what we wanted done and I left her reference pictures thinking we would not have any problems. Please see the attached picture I left her and what they did to our poor little pup. Skip this place and find somewhere else if you need need a professional groomer. GO ELSEWHERE!! After visiting this pet spa, I was surprised anyone would dare bring their pet here! The front desk girls are sarcastically rude, the facility is filthy. There are piles of dog hair everywhere, the floors are filthy. They do not clean up after themselves, and quite frankly that place looks unsanitary. I have tried to call several times and no one ever picks up the phone. There is no professional management, and owners could careless about customer service! Absolutely awful! They only want your money. They do not care about your well being or pets. I got injured in there business and the workers stood there and never offered helped and was extremely sarcastic. There hand sanitizer cap was broken an the sanitizer aimed right into my eye burning. I had to ask for help multiple times when injured... you would think normal people would offer help when you see someone got hurt. This wasn't the case, the workers kept grooming their dogs and front desk lady just stood there staring at me while I cried out loud in pain. I asked for a water bottle so I could pour into my eye but it seemed as if she didn't want to give me one so it wouldn't fall all over the floors so she instead led me to a dog bath bowl to rinse my burning eye. It was so unsanitary. I had to asked her to guide me out of the groomers she never offered any sort of help. I went to the EMR. Turns out my eye was extremely swollen, red, and I have permanent damage. I broke multiple blood vessels in my eye and now partially blind. Again don't go here. They only care about there money and not you or your pets feelings. The workers nor the owner never said sorry or wished me well on recovery. If that was the case I wouldn't be writing this review. We WILL NEVER go here again! read more

I grew up in Pedro but have since moved to Texas 15 years ago. I was out this past week at my mom's house for our national specialty dog show and needed to find a place nearby to get my dog fluffed and clean before the weekend. Since I prefer to groom my dogs myself, Bubbles was the nearest self service wash, so to the car we went. Lovely staff, clean facilities, and a wonderful selection of grooming tools to use! I very much appreciated the tubs were enclosed, ensuring no random drop ins from other dogs (a huge plus for my selective Akita), but still plenty of room for me to work on her coat, stash my combs and brushes, and use a force dryer. Jordyn did a fantastic job grooming my Siberian Husky who was badly matted and needed a good brushing. I have reactive dogs. They don't do well at the vet or the groomer. Because they get so stressed out I usually use a mobile pet groomer for $150 plus tip for both. Bubbles was recommended to me so I made an appointment for wash and nail trim. After her bath, I picked up my dog and she was laying in the kennel and wagging her tail! A few months ago, Amy left Bubbles Pet Spa. I was a bit concerned, as she was my dog's groomer for the last two years. Since then, Isela has become her new groomer.. and I absolutely love the grooming she does on Sprout (my dog).. possibly even more than when Amy was taking care of her. I have had Isela do her hair (hair, fur, what's the diff) twice now, and am very happy with the outcome. Absolutely no complaints here.. as you can see from my former review, the customer service is great. We had our first and last visit to Bubbles Pet Spa at the Torrance location this week. We will not return. * The good news is our pup is healthy and grooming was completed. * They lied to me. 4 hours after drop-off, I called for an ETA. They said grooming had been completed hours ago and they tried to call. I had no missed calls and was waiting nearby with service the entire time. I showed my call history at pickup and the person at the desk brushed this off as "well sometimes our system does that." * They ripped me off. For this 2 hours of grooming (plus 2 hours in a cage), a $30 "long hair fee" was added to the $120 grooming fee at pickup. Our pup's coat was 1 inch, trimmed to 1/2-inch! Short hair! We discussed the cut with the groomer in advance and there was no mention of a "long hair fee". read more

I had an apt on 1/27 at 115p I dropped my dog off early (at 12:55-1pm)and my groomer was out to lunch so the staff put my dog in a kennel. At 127 pm I get a call from the groomer checking to see if I was going to still make the appointment at 115pm????? Excuse Me!? I brought my dog in at 1pm? Is he not there!? Where is my dog? The staff was to busy talking not even paying attention to their clients pets. I drove back because I was really scared that he got out or they may have accidentally given him to someone else. These things have happened because the staff doesn't care to know each pet coming in and going. So I waited at the spa until my dog was done. All the kid said was sorry. Not a complimentary dog treat. This is my last groom here. Your staff doesn't know how to treat customers or care for our pets. If you are interested in this business I would check out there Manhattan beach location they were wonderful the last time I took my dog. Sara is AMAZING. She's been so patient with our two crazy pups and has done an amazing job shaping their fur. It's been difficult finding a groomer that can get a cut Bichon fur the way we like. With other groomers the pups always came back near bald or with uneven cuts. But Sara has diligently worked on shaping their fur month after month until they looked just right.
