Never again. I show up on time and they've yelled at us for 'being late' and even almost charged extra $ for it. I had to show them my email confirmation to let them know that I've arrived at the correct time, and they didn't give me a single apology. Not even an excuse. It's still their responsibility if there was something wrong with their computer/scheduling system you know... They just acted like nothing happened and started their own business. I typically take my dog to lucky dawg but I forgot to make an appointment and they fill up for at least two weeks. With that said, I heard about Bubbles and thought I'd give it a try. Upon picking up my dog the women at the front desk said, "you're going to get a handlers fee because your dog is aggressive." This was the first time I've heard this, my dog has two groomers at the same location and never heard anything close to aggressive. When the groomer brought over my dog, I asked how he behaved. She said, " he aggressive", I looked at her hands and didn't see any remnants of "aggression". Clearly, I was not happy to hear their unfounded complaints and added charge. Last time I bring my dog here. I'll make sure to make early appointments at his usual groomer. Last detail, I gave my dog an additional trim as I noticed he had some long patches of hair that were missed by three groomer. read more

We are so happy that we followed Sara here from her former employer. The staff are always friendly and attentive. As for grooming we can only speak for Sara as she has been our dogs primary groomer for 3 years. We are very pleased with the service we received and our two dogs are done within a a couple hours. I usually love coming to bubbles and bringing my 2 golden retrievers here, but I will never again. Last weekend I brought one dog to get a bath and a trim/clean up of his feathers. He had an ear infection so I asked for them not to touch his head and luckily this saved him from what happened to my other poor golden. The male golden was shaved (should never shave a golden) when I asked for a trim of his feathers and now his body is all patchy. My female golden also was suppose to get a 'trim' of the feathers and they completely shaved under her ears. She has chunks of fur missing that are the width of a razor. Unfortunately the next day following she now has a huge scab under her ear, razor bumps and a scab on her body towards her butt. At pick up they mentioned ''she has a hot spot'' on her butt which wasn't there at drop off but turns out it was them cutting her with the razor...as we noticed razor bumps and was the exact width of a razor. Wanted to walk in with our vet bill but knew they wouldn't do anything. NEVER AGAIN read more

Jean is the best cat groomer! Still love taking my lil ginger cat here. This was the only place so far that without question has the best cat grooming and while cats are self sufficient who hasn't wanted a professional to pawmper their furbaby and make sure they're healthy, happy and have trimmed nails. I also like that they understand that cats skin is more sensitive than dogs. Jean is like the cat whisperer with the amount of care, attention and polite professionalism. I tried this groomer due to my other groomer being booked for the next few weeks. The online booking option was down without any notice. I called to double check and was informed then it was not working. I was able to easily make an appt. by phone, the drop off was easy, and was contacted less than 2 hours later my dog was done and ready for pick up. When I asked how she did, the staff told me she was really nervous and peed and pooped all over, and was wondering if she had ever been groomed before? It was a brand new place, this was her first time there! I had mentioned her age and nervousness when I arrived. They charged an extra $8 for this which I think is ridiculous. She is an 8lb chihuahua mix and the total was $68 for a bath and cut. I feel charging extra for something I wouldn't be able to control and as almost a punishment is bad business especially since I was a new customer. read more

I was looking for a place to wash my elderly pup and saw that this location has a walk up to door opening bath! My pup is 70 lbs so I was happy to find a place for her. It is also has groomers available. I love the fact that the soap is integrated into a jet hose, so it gets thru her double coat. The stall though is small and getting my pup from the basin to the drying table was a little tricky. I also had to take her from the table and lift her down to the ground, again in a tight space. BUT, the staff were so nice and thank goodness for Jean who had taken my phone nbr b4 I left, a/c I had failed to pocket my credit card. read more

We've been going to Bubbles Pet Spa for 2 years now. Started at the Manhattan Beach location where they occasionally gave our Bichon razor burn on his belly. Switched to the Torrance location where we've gotten some great haircuts and a couple not so good ones. For some reason, we keep going back, hoping for the best. Yesterday, we picked up our Bichon and he looked like a Schnauzer! Despite that I gave specific instructions to the woman who was doing his groom. Since they had the notes from his last groom (which was perfect), I didn't worry. Not only does he not look anything like a Bichon, his coat is shaved so close that I can see his skin. Someone really screwed him up! When I called to complain, the person on the other end of the phone could not have cared less. We won't be back! No more chances for this place..... read more

I took my dog here for a self-wash. It was okay for that, not really clean, but they pretty much left you alone and were happy to provide something if you huunted them down to ask for it. I was surprised that as soon as we got there my dog wanted to bolt. She usually is fine with those places, and we never left her the whole time we were there, but she was worried and upset the entire time. hmmm... What I didn't like was what I saw while I was there. My 4 year old and I were in there at least 1hour 15minutes washing our dog, and the ENTIRE time there, we saw a lab sitting in that in that silly auto-drier, which was set for 98 degrees. That seems like a really long time and a really high temp for a dog to be sitting. They also had a little tiny yappy dog in there with him for at least 40 minutes. Both dogs were panting like crazy. That seems like negligence to me, I hope I'm wrong. Also witnessed that all dogs, when done being groomed, sit in a cage, so if you don't like that, too bad. As we were leaving, we saw a different dog literally being pushed into that auto-drier. He was a smart dog, he knew that was misery. But they had two employees yelling at him and pushing his hind-end into that sweat box. That was the last straw, after seeing how they treat dogs when their owners aren't there, there is no way I'd take my dog there, even if it was just me doing a self-wash. I don't want to see that and I certainly don't want to spend my money at a place like that. read more

I got a coupon from the Daily Breeze that let me get an $80 treatment for $35. I thought it was a good way to try this place out. The $35 included the wash, grooming, nail trimming, paw pads trimmed, "furminator" (said to get rid of excess shedding) , teeth brushing, ear cleaning,doggie facial (yeah I thought it was weird too) and of course the ever popular with your dog: gland expression. I found the receptionist as well as the manager to be very helpful & friendly. However, the woman who actually groomed my dog had no personality at all. When I dropped my dog up, she would barely make eye contact. Same thing when I picked her up. My dog is only 40 lbs (mostly fur) and it took a little under two hours for her treatment. Yes she was groomed well, ears & teeth cleaned. Nails trimmed & paw pad hair trimmed too. However I don't think they expressed her glands cuz she's still scooting a but. Sad to say they did a shoddy job on her nail trimming. The nails were cut real close to the veins. Also the paw trimming in general wasn't all too good. I'm glad I tried this place out but think I'll be going back to Petsmart like we have been since they do a more thorough job. read more

Bubbles Pet Spa is one of the nicest pet gooming spas in the area. My dog frequently uses their special HydroSpa service and finishes with a brush out. He has really gotten accustomed to the store because of the nice friendly staff. It could also be that he likes the sample treats they give him at each visit. I love the self service wash as well. The water pressure in the hoses are just strong enough to quickly wet and rinse your dog. The stainless steel tubs feel very clean. I like how they do not count every second you are using their facilities. I have never felt rushed to finish up my dog there. Next to try out will be the pick up and groom service. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They were very rude when I was making an appointment for my dog. I missed 1 appointment in the past. The most recent appointment I paid for in advance to which I made that appointment on time. I tried to make an appointment today for my dog to get groomed and I felt like such a criminal. They would not let me make an appointment unless I paid for the service in advance or give them my credit card information to keep on file. I don't trust any company to have my financial information. I understand that it is a Policy but COME ON, I only missed my appointment once and I would think that me coming on time to my last appointment would have been enough to redeem myself. read more

This is for the self wash only. Freakin' awesome. That's it. Okay here's more. It felt like you could be free to do whatever the hell you wanted (that is: wash your dog) without being hassled by any pompous groomer to tell you what to do. "I watched the Youtube, I don't need your GD advice." Jk, they provide some helpful tips. We went 1:30 minutes before closing, without getting hassled with two dogs: Shitzu/ Bichon Frise mix and a fuzzy Pomeranian. I brought some of my own gear: brushes, fine pick comb, etc. But they do provide you some as well. It wasn't tremendously huge like Tidy Dog in Long Beach nor was it as clean but the fact that I can lather my dogs coat, to see and smell it was worth it. Yea, I can do the same thing at home but I like the wash stations. Save a back! My gf enjoyed the experience, she noted how young and chill the grooming staff was. We might try and getting her prized Pomeranian groomed there, we'll see. What I thought was hilarious was the freakin' Dog Washing Machine. You put your dog in this huge washing machine for those "in between grooms" for a touch up. The novelty of it! read more
