I took my dog to get washed and brushed last weekend and he came home with a 3-4 inch cut down the inside of his back right leg. I called the grooming department and they said that because his appointment didn't involve scissors or a shaver, that it didn't happen there. After waiting an additional 3 days to hear back from the store leader, I called the store AGAIN to see if they had any answers. They said they interviewed everyone and they came to the conclusion that it was not their doing. I asked if the security footage showed us walking into the store without a cut and walking out of the store hours later with a cut, they said they couldn't discuss security footage, TOTAL BS. I asked if the groomer had taken note of a cut, they said they would have if there had been one. My response was that he clearly didn't have the cut prior to the appointment otherwise the groomer would have noted it and the cut is clean from blood so it must have happened there prior to the bath. They still denied any wrong doing or explanation. The customer service and the lack of immediate communication (took 4 days to resolve and I have to reach out to them for an answer), really upset me and my family. They did offer us a discount on our next visit, but that will NEVER happen again. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

If I could give a zero stars I would. Brought our puppy in for a cut after he had on a cone for 2 weeks (surgery) for a bathe and cut... they literally shaved him down to nothing! It was not that bad! He was still being brushed daily, just not around his neck/head area due to the cone. They used the smallest shave guard on him! They even charged me for the extra brush, but he can't even be brushed! Lazy work and completely unnecessary! He is itchy, irritated and uncomfortable. We are devastated and this will take months to grow his curls back. We could have just shaved him... this was LAZY work and shows no love in how they take care of our babies. read more

Chelsea did an outstanding job grooming June today. I've been taking my dog Tilly here for awhile and she always gets so excited to get her bath and brush, but she doesn't need haircuts like June does. I took my Pyredoodle to be groomed before the holidays so it was easier for me to bathe him each week after daycare. Jess M did his cut and did an amazing job! She cut his head and feet perfectly and even called me when his face got scratched during grooming. I always appreciate them telling me if something happens so its not a surprise to me that my dog could be injured. I will be coming back here and scheduling with Jess M in the future! Today while waiting for one person on the phone, I witnessed the other groomer abusing the dog who was simply quivering in fear. Joselin lifted the dog up and slammed it down. She shouted about her frustrations at the dog for not being able to work with her, while cussing. My daughter is a groomer in OR. In the past month I've been to this PetSmart location three times. Every time, I have received exceptional service. We got a new puppy and went here to get all the goodies we needed from food to toys to a kennel. Got it all here! I mentioned to the cashier that we adopted from the Humane Society and lo and behold he whipped out a book full of coupons that gave me pretty significant discounts AND...it included a free bag of puppy food. Wow! I was more impressed at the time Noah took with me more than the money I saved. Yes, he was that good. He even helped me when I struggled with the kiosk where you can make a laser inscribed tag for your pet. Since I have sworn off the other well known pet chain due to very rude service, I came back to get food for my older dog. A young woman quickly directed me to the right aisle and the brand I was looking for. Again, great service. Today, I went back to look for booties (yes, I said booties) for my dog as the weather is warming up and I want to protect his paws from hot pavement. Noah asked if he could help and actually talked me through some of the options. What I like is that I feel like a person when I come here and like I matter. We have been taking my dog to Petsmart for about 5 years. Never have I been told that they would have to shave his ears cause of matting. Poor little guy doesn't look like the same dog. In regards to the grooming services. Worst experience. I took my 5 month old puppy to have her nails trimmed. I called ahead to make an appointment but they stated it was walk in basis and my pet would not be seen for 2 hours. I waited 2 hours and called again, the stylist stated the information that was provided previously was wrong and I can walk in whenever. I came in with my puppy, I had my vaccinations and card ready; however, the stylist made me wait as she served the person behind me in line although I was first. After waiting for 10 minutes my puppy was finally seen. The stylist was not friendly and tied my puppy with 3 leashes. I saw that my puppy was stressed so I offered to help soothe her and stated I couldn't go in the back. None of the stylist were friendly and kind towards my puppy. We left with my puppy not being seen as none of the staff were able to trim my dogs nails. It was very unprofessional. Will never use the grooming services. Regarding the pet training and customer service in the store. It is amazing! My puppy graduated within 6 weeks. Kat is such a great trainer and provides advice. Grooming is open at 7am. I show up at 8:15am and the lady turns me away saying they don't do walk ins until the store opens? That's weird because I've come in and gotten nail grindings done many times before the store opened without a problem. Maybe they lady was just being lazy but unfortunate since she turned away business and left a good customer very unhappy. They were very nice when I came in which made the nail grinding better. They were so friendly here! I've visited once before for adoptable dogs and while they may not have a ton it was the friendliness that will keep me coming back. I had tried to do a pickup order- online and pickup in store to receive a discount. For whatever reason it didn't go through but the cashier said he would still honor the 15% off. After a long day at work that absolutely made my day. They have a nice selection and layout. It may a few extra minutes out of my way but I'll be coming here instead of the one that's closer to me. I always get a good service at this Petsmart. I have a Shiba inu who can be difficult in grooming. He hates baths, other dogs and has a different attitude towards the world. Tonight Zoid helped me. Grooming - Four stars for Amelia, she's the only one who seemed to have properly taken care of my dogs with good short nails and very clean look. 3 stars because All others are ok and hit or miss. The last grooming was bad, maybe it was close to closing (5pm appt) but I don't even think they washed the dogs properly since they came back to me chalky and still dirty on their underbellies. Their nails were barely cut, just the tips almost to simply make it look like it was touched but it wasn't. I don't even know why they advertise that late of appointments if they can't own up to it. I went in today to buy two gold fish for two 5 gallons tanks and the dark short haired lady explained to me that goldfish need a 20gallon tank minimum. Afterward she explained that the Minos could be used for a smaller tank so then I had asked okay can I have two minos that are 16 cents and she says "oh well those are the same as goldfish. They need ten gallons for each fish in a tank. Sorry I can't sell you these fish" then two people come up to her and ask for fish yet didn't ask them how big their tank was or any question just said yeah I can help you. read more

She took the time to educate about guinea pig ownership and gave my child a chance to hold them numerous times to choose the right one.
