I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience here. I took my dog in for a full groom, and about 2.5 hours into the appointment, I received a call saying he was overly nervous and had explosive diarrhea, so they asked me to pick him up and said we could finish at a later date. When I arrived, I was horrified. His groom was left completely unfinished--stray hairs everywhere, his tail and head untouched, making him look completely uneven. To make matters worse, he was so distressed that he continued to have diarrhea, even with blood, for the rest of the day. I understand that grooming can be stressful for some dogs, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. If my dog was that anxious, I should have been informed earlier, and he should never have been left in such an unfinished, unprofessional state. Now, I have to find another groomer just to fix this mess. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects a professional, compassionate grooming experience for their pet. read more

I come in this Petsmart often, but I often have to wait in long lines to check out. The staff is friendly, and they do you have a good selection. We used to get our dog groomed there, and they always did a really good job on her hair. They worked really hard to make sure they were gentle with her as she was an older dog. The store is usually pretty clean. I did have an experience there a few years back where I went to go and pet the cats and a store employee came to pet the cats with me to see if there was one I was interested in. When I pet the cat he told me that there was one that was not friendly and one that was friendly and accidentally mixed them up. I was scratched pretty badly by the unfriendly cat to where I still have the scar 15 years later. Update: I'm knocking my score down as I got another phone call today trying to remind me to get my dog groomed. I went into the store as well as talked to them on the phone last time they called telling them that my dog passed away. I find it incredibly rude that I have to tell the store three different times that my dog died for them to leave me alone and quit calling me asking me to bring her in to get groomed. It really bums me out and is completely unnecessary as I've told them 3 different times to please remove me from their list as I don't want to be contacted about the dog again. Completely unnecessary and incredibly sad. Fix your system so this doesn't happen again. It's ridiculous. read more

This location is the closest to me. I have gone in at least 5 times to buy fish because the website had them listed as in stock. Fool me 5 times I guess, every time I go in the tanks are so filled with algae that you can hardly see the fish inside. This was on a Sunday, prime retail sales day. The lack of attention to the care of the fish and environment hasn't improved at all. I promptly left and went to a competitor's store. I don't recommend buying fish here. read more

This being the nearest option to me I do shop here but I have started to order online more and more at Chewy.com. The people who work the cash registers are usually very nice. The prices are high compared to shopping online but for the convenience I didn't care much before an incident that left a very bad impression of the store management. I purchased a bag of one of their brands of dry puppy food on sale. I usually buy a new bag when the current bag has about a week left in it. When I went to open the new bag of food I noticed the expiration date was almost 3 months expired. When we tried to return it for a refund we were met with resistance from the clerk and the manager on duty. We finally were given credit for the bag in question but we had to work for it. We were left with the impression that the bag of food was on sale at such a good price because it was past it's use by date. Needless to say I no longer buy their brand and if I do run out before my Chewy.com order reaches my door I always check the dates on food or treats at PetSmart. I did write to the company and all you get from them is blah, blah, blah. read more

Lee is the best. Their team works hard to give you the advice you need and provide quality care for pets. Everyone there is kind and caring. Sometimes waits can get a little long but I have found that this is an issue at all petsmarts and petco locations. read more

We come here regularly for our food needs for our Chihuahua mix (Hill's Science Diet and Sargent's calming treats). We also occasionally get large hardware items such as doorway gates and crates. They have a good selection of dog toys, and we occasionally will find a squeaky toy that our dog will like (she wants a particular high-pitched squeal). When we need something new, the staff have been very knowledgeable about what they have and where it is located. Checkout is usually speedy, although the checkers tend to be chatty with the people ahead of us in line. We haven't used the veterinary, grooming, or adoption services, or bought any pets. The store is a good complement to Struttin Pup in Lafayette, where we get some more specialized items. read more

Absolutely unacceptable. This has been the veterinary office I've gone to for years for my pet, for checkups/shots. My pet needed two vaccinations; rabies and FVRCP. The tech took my animal back, said it would be less than five minutes. I waited for 30. They brought me my pet, asked me to wait a moment to speak with Vet. 20 more minutes, Vet tells me she accidentally gave my pet TWO rabies vaccinations, stating she was "rushing" and "doing too much." She wanted to keep him there for 6 more hours to "monitor," all the while saying, "hell be just fine""don't worry." Never once an apology. I was very upset, said I expected no fee, which they denied! It was such a disappointing, upsetting experience. Dr. Elizabeth St. Clair is cold, unappologetic, and awful. Please don't take your loved animals to a place that self admits to rushing their work and making mistakes that are potentially deadly. read more

He is an absolute aquatic expert, makes sure customers get exactly what they need and is friendly and fun to talk to. This review is about this specific location in Superior, not PetSmart as a chain. I have many favorable things to say about the chain. Despite living in Superior, I drive out of my way to go to the Westminster store at Church Ranch, however. The reason is one particular check-out clerk whom I always seem to get. Let me set the scene by saying that the woman's arms are covered with handmade tattoos which look a little like the style of jailhouse tattoos. Could've just been a mistake of her youth, sure -- the tats would be no big deal if the service were better. I'll go in every few months to see if things have improved; they never do. She rings *every* *individual* *item* up separately even when I bring them to her organized by brand / flavor of petfood, and so forth. It takes forever for her to ring up an order. Worse, every time - literally every time - I am in this woman's check out lane, she stops for a personal conversation with another coworker about breaktimes, shift schedules, something along those lines. Not just, "Hey, I'm going on break!" "Great, thanks!" No, I mean step away from the cash register, have a protracted conversation about who's going away when, what time someone is scheduled for next week, and so forth. I tried to speak to the manager about this once... This clerk interrupted our discussion to talk about how someone else was going on break. I kid you not. read more

Typical petsmart. This particular one seems to always be low or out of pig ears, cow ears, etc. Seems understaffed or employees are never around. Cashier today was obviously new and needed help. Another female employee completely ignored the fact she not only was struggling but a line had formed because of it. I patiently waited however yhe guy behind me did not. 10 minutes to pay for ear cleanser is a little extreme. Especially when youve got other employees standing around ignoring the obvious. I brought my cat to be groomed here. I made the appointment on a Sunday for the following Tuesday. When I arrived, the cat groomer had a meeting and had cancelled. There was no call or other communication to me. Apparently she knew of her commitment 2 days before my appointment (that means she knew on Sunday when they took my appointment!). While I was offered a discount on a reschedule, there wasn't a time that would work well into the next week. So, no grooming for my cat and I will not be back. read more

Not all groomers are created equal! I've taken my dog there for years and had a consistent grooming experience. However, I took my dog there yesterday and her coat looks horrible (3rd time this year)! I think I figured out why, I believe they fraudulently booked my dog under our usual groomer and then had whoever was there do the job! They don't call you about it and let you reschedule nor do they mention it because who's the wiser the dog can't talk! But I know because my groomer is very specific on how she communicates and cuts my dog, even if I don't see her at pickup! You would think that it shouldn't matter however one time I believe my dog was abused, she was not right for weeks after. Another time one of her skin tags was cut! This time my dog was there from 12:30-5:00 pm and was extremely dehydrated by the time we got home. Additionally, she got her last "short cut" before the winter and there are bald patches and unevenness behind her back legs, tale and face; it's true if you have issue with "small things" like who's grooming your dog or how come their extremely thirsty, they give a BS excuse! No one mentioned anything like accidental cuts and unfortunately it is very hard to see these things at the time of pick-up.The worst is they LIE to your face about everything. If it matters who's attending to your pet and how they are treated DO NOT drop your dog there! I'll never go back again! read more

This review is for the grooming parlour. Our dogs were in today to be groomed. After being there for over five hours they still weren't ready when we stopped by to pick them up. Despite today being over 80 degrees, it would appear neither dog was given any water for the duration of their time there as they were both incredibly dehydrated when we finally got them home. Not the first time this has happened. There's always some BS excuse. Last time it was 'well, we're really busy today'. Staff accordingly then, it's not rocket science. Today is was 'we have two staff not turn up'. Hire responsible staff then. You couldn't pay me to take my dogs back there after today's experience. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. I took my pet here, and we never spoke to the vet prior to testing. I feel unnecessary testing was done before our concern was addressed as no one had looked at the reason for bringing him in. When the vet had made her diagnosis, she was then unavailable for a conversation when we picked him up. Other than a bill, I am not sure what happened. We subsequently had to go to another vet. I feel like this whole scheme is just to make money and saw no attempt at a personalized approach. Further, no ability to think outside what appears to be established protocols to generate revenue. read more

I brought my Golden Retriever in for a 3:00 appt. to be trimmed down to 1 inch of fur. At 5:30, she'd been in a cage for 2 1/2 hrs and they said she wouldn't be done for at least another hour. At 6:30 I came to pick her up and they'd shaved her down to her skin in the worst, blotchiest cut I'd ever seen. When I came, the scene was pandemonium and a girl with a baby was chatting up the groomer working on my dog. When I spoke with the groomer, she said that a #7 WAS 1 inch and that 4 hours was the real wait time to expect when the dog was dropped off. The manager said, "not my staff" and after I said, "my dog isn't used to being in a cage for over 3 hrs without water or being let out, they insisted she had water. When we got home, she emptied her water dish - twice. These girls have no idea what they're doing and have no understanding that they're working with living creatures. It's a gruesome experience for a dog and others were leaving disgruntled as I was, complaining that their dogs were obviously disturbed. Don't EVER bring your dog here. These people are inhumane. read more
