We have been bringing our long-haired cat here for 2.5 years and Groomingdale's has been exceptional! Everyone I have interacted with has been great, especially Shara who always friendly, super communicative, and is excellent with taking good care of our cat and keeping him comfortable. Called for an appt. Message said they do not answer the phone when dogs are on the table. Two days later received a text asking if I wanted to make an appointment. I returned the text stating I wanted to make an appointment. That was the last I heard from them. They don't have to follow up, will charge you if you can't make a scheduled appt. read more

I came to Groomingdale's on 2 occasions. The first was to have my puppy's nails trimmed. The gal was great, shorter and blonde. I didn't catch her name. The second time was a grooming and I was very upset. I came in to pick him up and he was by himself, in a kennel. I waited at the front desk for 10 minutes before just coming to the back to grab him. He was scared and shaking from being in there. I took him and walked back to the front desk and waited for another 10 minutes before someone came up from the back. Once I paid and got into the car, my puppy didn't want me to put him down and he was so incredibly sad. When I got home, I noticed that my puppy had a 2" bald spot near his hind leg and he had dandruff that was not present before he came in. He still has dandruff and it's been weeks. They have decent pricing but I had mixed experiences. Please be cautious of coming here and make sure you know your groomer. read more

We had been taking our dogs to our local vet for grooming and such, but it always seemed to more more of a hassle than a convenience to book a time to get them in. So we were referred to Groomingdales, by a friend, and we couldn't be non the happier. We were a little leery at first, since both of our dogs are 80+ lbs (both Pyrenees) , and very finicky. However, it seemed to be a blessing in disguise. They both love going here to get groomed, Deshed, and get their nails trimmed. Now I can speak on the behalf of all dogs, because like ours they are very finicky as to who they like. But this place is worth giving a shot. Like I mentioned previously, we have been coming here for about two years now. And although we have moved a bit further away from this location, we still prefer to bring our dogs here, since they enjoy coming back to be groomed. read more

I'm needing to change my review.. From what I've gathered this facility operates like a salon where each individual groomer "rents a chair" there instead of all employees working under and for the same business. Because of this the turnover rate is high and experience levels vary. Our last visit we had a new (to us) woman who did not know our breed well. She brushed him too long or too hard and he came back not wanting to be touched at all. Upon further examination he was covered with tiny bumps all over his skin which our vet told us was irritation. After that I learned that you truly do get what you pay for and even though grooming large dogs can be pricey, it's worth it to take them to sufficiently trained groomers. read more

I've been taking my dogs here for the last several years. The last time I brought my large double coated dog there they were down a groomer tech or two, but they took my dog anyway instead of telling me. Normally, the groom would take 3hrs max but they held my girl for almost 5hrs and kept putting me off on the phone. Eventually, I just showed up to get my girl & they had her in a kennel with 3 huge, loud fans blowing on her. She was still super wet in places. It's outrageous to try and kennel dry a large double coated dog. My dog deserves better than that. Had they simply been honest that they were down a tech or two and asked me to reschedule I would have been ok with that. However, they chose to treat my dog poorly which I can not abide. read more

I brought my dog here on an urgent matter considering my regular groomer only has bookings a month out. I dropped my dog off to Crystal at 9 and received a call at 9:08 stating my dog was being aggressive and biting her. I go pick up my dog he's half shaved and I still get charged $30, the whole package is $60. She only shaved 1/2 of his 15lb body and I still get charged that much. Whatever, I pay her and take my dog home. A few hours later after he's taken a nap and is finally calm I notice a large abrasion on his butt :(. HOW DO YOU EXPECT A DOG TO TRUST YOU WHEN YOURE ABUSING HIM. I rather take him to pet smart than here, never again. read more

This sad dog groomers are not able to take an appointment after 1:00 P.M because it might take over 4 hours till closing time to cut a teacup poodle. Aparently it takes that long to cut a tiny poodle. Last time I took him in they said it would be 3 to 4 hours and they called me 45 minutes later and said he was done.Big time crunch I see .I have been getting my dog cut for years there and they slowly gotten worse and worse. inconsistent cut,fluctuating price,almost demanding a tip for their over priced services. I was hesitant to take my dog back here because the first time it felt like they really cut corners and didn't do a great job, but they got us right in so I figured I would give it one more shot and just talk to them about the things they missed the last time. Called on a Thursday about 1:30 PM to try and make a same day appointment for my husky, but they told me they don't take any appointments after 1 PM, period. She offered me a Saturday appointment, but I was looking for something sooner, so I told them I would have to try elsewhere. When I called back ten minutes later to book for Saturday because I couldn't get an appointment at my other groomer until the following Monday she told me their next Saturday availability was a month out. When I told her what was said when I just called 10 minutes prior, she just said "Saturday's fill up fast." It genuinely felt to me like they were just being petty about the fact that I had told them I wanted to try somewhere that could get me in more quickly. I've been taking all of my dogs here for a few years now and absolutely think they are the best. We have a Saint Bernard, collie mix, dachshund and long hair cat. The cat groomer, Sarah, is amazing and our cat is not traumatized when we pick her up. They can do a deep comb that stops the shedding and hair balls for months. Tiffany is our groomer for the dogs and she's amazing. The dogs really enjoy going and are excited when they get there. To me, that says it all. read more

Cavachons have gossamer fur/hair. Half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and half Bichon Frise - hence the Cavachon name are delightfully sweet, hypo-allergenic, non-shedding dogs. They get to be about 20 pounds of the finest hair/fur you have ever laid a hand to. My husband will tackle anything - and I mean anything and he refuses to clip this dog. Well, he did once and two hours later the dog looked pretty much the same. Enter Groomingdale's! In and out in the usual amount of time but with excellent results and at a very reasonable cost. The shop is in a strip mall on the NW corner of 112th and Colorado Blvd and I wouldn't have known about it except for the killer bakery just a few doors down. A perfect set up - drop your dog off, grab some fantastic German Chocolate cupcakes, pick up a winning Powerball ticket at the corner 7-11 and have your "schmoochie" back in no time. Only star is due to the friendliness of the staff when we called to make the appointment and in person. With that being said, about a month ago we dropped our dog off for a full groom. When we picked him up he had the most choppy, uneven cut we could have ever imagined with several bald spots (where it looked as though the clippers had slipped away from them) and two small cuts. We were pretty disappointed and were really excited about finding a groomer to go back to each time but this unfortunately won't be the place. read more

Very unsatisfied. My dog was there 5 hours still wasn't done. Was told he did great. Go home and find so many problems, work either not done or poorly done. When contacted was told my dog was "a problem". That is the reason he was not completely done. Feel bad I left my little guy there. read more

The groomer cut my dog's leg and didn't seem very concerned about it . Just said, that's what happens when there are "mats" in the fur! When my dog shook herself little hairs flew everywhere, so I'm not sure if they even bathed her... she was finished over an hour before The time she told me. I think the groomer jut did a careless rush job on my poor dog and that's why she was wounded. I was polite while there but the more I think about it, I'm not a happy customer. let me start from the beginning. I called last minute wanting to get my shihtzu tucker groomed. his hair was a mess! I believe the owner of the salon Sara (correct me if I'm wrong) groomed my baby. and WOW! she did an outstanding job! I would recommend this groomer to all my friends and family!! There's a groomer by the name of Heather who had worked here and other places. She groomed my puppy for the first time. Cut her hair down to pink skin stating to matted. That would have been on. Problem is she also shaved her legs totally to skin. And did her ears. Her ears were missing tissue and bleeding. When she got home she was so traumatized that it took 4 hours to calm her down. She kept trying to hid and run away. Her ears remained scabbed for several weeks. I will never take her back to them. No excuse for injuries to a puppy. Why would you hurt a dog so she was bleeding ??? She's a baby and the trauma was so bad I was afraid that she would never be normal again. We have been going here for a long while now. Today we had an appointment at 9 am and my two (under 20 pounds) pups were not ready until 3:15 PM!! When I dropped them off I was told they'd be ready around 12-1pm so I called at 2 concerned and was told they were bathed but not yet groomed. Of course I was frustrated as my dogs have been in a crate all day, they have never been crated so this is a very long time for them. I expressed my frustration and concern because they had been there for 5 hours already and still not even groomed. The receptionist didn't seem concerned with my frustration one bit and when I went to pick them up at 3:20 the front desk didn't even acknowledge me until the groomer did. Neither of my dogs had a bandana or a bow which they usually do and the dog who got picked up before them did have a bow. I found this to be extremely rude and it's safe to say I will not be going back after over a year of being a customer. The groomer always does a great job and I am sadden to have to move on to another groomer but customer service goes a long way, and treating a long time customer that way does not sit well with me. read more

The woman was rude, asking us if we take care of our dog and implying that we don't brush her hair (we absolutely do, and have never had any other groomer say otherwise). This is a great business for your pet grooming. I loved how well they groomed my dogs from head to toe. I have been using them for over 3 years since she was located at her old shop. My dogs always come out clean and fresh. Reasonable of pricing too, I know I would have to pay a lot more anywhere else. I would encourage you to try them out.
