This PetSmart is conveniently located in a shopping plaza in South Euclid. It's nice to shop for my cat and then stop by at one of the nearby restaurants to grab some food or coffee. I'll rate my latest experience shopping for cat food over the weekend. The store is clean, organized, and usually well-stocked. It has seasonal items (like cute dog outfits and themed toys - Hello Kitty, how cute!). There are often pet food sales. This location has grooming salon onsite that's always busy. I was asked whether I need any help during my visit which is always nice. One constant inefficiency at this store is the checkout line. Usually only one checkout is open and line forms quickly. There was a usual very long wait for checkout. This time someone wanted to get fish promotion (buy 4 fish, get 5th free). It took multiple employees to figure out how that works. The customer had to visit the signage multiple times and take pictures to prove that it was actually happening. It was miserable. While bored in the checkout line, I picked up one of the dog toys for my dogs. I put it down immediately because it smelled like very strong paint or acetone. So much so that another customer could smell it. Please be cautious if purchasing toys for your pet. Overall, if you have a lot of time to spare, shop at this store. If you're in a rush, I wouldn't recommend visiting. read more

I struggled to find a good groomer in my new area that my dog and I liked. Just had my goldendoodle groomed by Malakai and my dog looks the best he has looked in two years. Location is close to me and everyone was very nice. My dog can get very nervous but he felt comfortable with Malakai. read more

I really like the layout of this store. It's easy to find items you are looking for and even items you didn't know you needed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Be sure to check out their clearance sections. I found some rest good markdowns I never would have expected. This is definitely one of the better stocked stores in the area. read more

The staff here is just spectacular! I come in all of the time and they're always so friendly. My most resent visit was to pick up some booties for my 16 year old Lab, I did buy the wrong size and it was so easy to come in and exchange for the right size. The staff always let's me play with the dwarf hamsters and the cats. Seriously, the staff is what keeps me coming back. They're amazing and they actually care. Our dogs are always getting treats and attention from them. They ALWAYS help me take my stuff out to my car as well. I usually by a lot while I'm there and they stopped asking if they could help and just do. Top notch help! It's greatly appreciated! read more

shopped there today (approx.11:30 AM). as usual, the shelves are half empty, I can never find the selection I want in Friskies or Fancy Feast canned goods. The shelves are 9 feet high and the top shelves are loaded while the bottom ones are empty. I WILL NOT go to fetch a ladder to reach. IT's DANGEROUS! I'm surprised their insurance company allows this kind of shelving. Always, there's a line-up at the one register that is (sometimes staffed). It takes me 15 minutes to acquire goods that I should be able to in 5 minutes. I'm getting very aggravated with this store which WILL NOT serve properly its huge clientele. read more

So I'm in the store attempting to make a purchase. Someone from little Caesar's comes in waiting change. The cashier proceeds to page the manager and then say to me after I had been waiting in line hold on I'm going to take care of the little Caesar's worker. I leave. I call the manager of the store and he proceeds to say that's my fault that I couldn't get to her. Are petsmart and little Caesar's connected. I understand after speaking with manager why the lack of customer service is condoned. He told me if I call corporate they are just going to message him to call me. It's your typical big box pet store. They have all the normal brands of supplies, food, etc. including Science Diet, our cats' normal go-to. If you're looking for the fancier or organic brands, like we've been trying to switch to lately, you might be better off looking elsewhere. Their employees are always friendly and helpful, especially in the lizard/fish section. We buy crickets for my husband's chameleon and gecko here, and have never had any problems. Prices aren't cheap but they're generally reasonable (and are always cheaper than their competitor PetCo). You know what to expect from PetSmart. You'll get what you expect at this location. read more

I was stopping into the Petsmart store on the way home. I usually go to another location but I stopped at this one because it was convenient. I was really pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful all the staff was. I was able to get in and out very quickly and cashier noticed that my cat food qualified for 50% off coupon and gave that to me today. They're really wonderful and treat you well. read more

Very clean store! The staff is SO friendly with my dog. I brought her there for the first time and she was TERRIFIED when we walked through the door. Once an associate bent down, pet her and gave her a treat she felt right at home. Everyone that worked there stopped to give Farrah some love and they were helpful with training and food choices. My dog absolutely loves coming here. You can tell as soon as you walk in the door how much the employees LOVE their job. Very clean store, excellent customer service! I love that they have walk in services for my dog and we NEVER have to wait! There are always staff available to assist and explain things to me about certain beams of food treats, etc. read more

I took My Shih Tzu for grooming about two months ago. Worst experience EVER! It took over 5 hours! Her cut was skin deep & she had nicks & bloody scrapes all over her body. She was breathing very heavy & in obvious distress!!! When I complained they told me to bring her back. Why the Hell would I ever do that!!! The management was very uncaring. After reading the news story on Newser about the animals dying at various PetSmart groomers, I am fortunate my dog wasn't one. They are the WORSE!!! Do Not Recommend!!!!!! read more

This is a great petsmart store - close to where i live and the staff are super helpful. They will check up on you and make sure you are doing ok. Esp. the staff at the fish section, super helpful and friendly. The store is a little small compare to other ones, so you may not be able to find a variety of stuff that you would want to purchase, but they have the basic stuff. read more

Well, I'm a new Petco customer since I just got a new puppy. From my first intearction with Petco my experience has been a positvie one. The person I talked to on the phone about training classes for my puppy was very friendly and helpful. Will, the young man who's training my puppy is alos very nice and friendly. I cannot comment on the prices of dog food, dog toys or dog accessories because I have nothing to compare with, but I can tell the service I've received has been excellent from day one. read more

I had the worst grooming experience today with Tatiana M. The instructions were to give my 58lb labradoodle Theodore, the same cut he gets regularly which is a #5 blade cut. He came home shaved completely down ears and all with his tail looking like it hadn't been touched. Tatiana called my fiancé to let him know that my Theo's ears were matted and she had to cut the matting out. That is normal and we thought nothing of it because they usually cut the hair in the back of his ears really low due to matting. When my fiancé got home with Theodore I wanted to cry. My dog looks like a rat and the hair on his ears have been completely SHAVED OFF. I couldn't believe that someone (especially a professional) would do this to anyone's dog and of all days on the holiday. I immediately took my dog back to the salon to have the groomer explain why this happened. She insisted that she used a #5 on my dog. So I asked to speak with the manager, Jeff and took the hair length chart to him. I then show him #5 on the chart and compare that to my dog. He says that he doesn't know. I say to him I feel insulted that he would look me in my face and say that my dog is not completely shaved. He explained that he trusts what the groomers say but that the groomer probably shaved the rest of Theo's body so that it would be uniform with his ears. So I ask if that's the case why would his tail be left untouched. I explain to Jeff that Theo gets matting on his ears and its usually just cut really low in the back of his ear. He says that he seen the matting on the ears and that he could bring the hair to show me how bad they were matted. He brings out the matted hair that was STILL damp. So that let me know that my dog had not been fully dried and combed/brushed out prior to getting shaved completely bald. Theodores appointment was at 7:15 a.m. and we didn't get a call about his ears until 12:40 p.m. So that leaves me to assume that he was washed and left to air dry which will likely cause matting. I still can't believe that a professional groomer would want to showcase this as her work. Not to mention that she was completely unapologetic. In the end the manager Jeff did have another groomer reshape my dogs tail and he did not charge for the cut and offered a free cut. But I did not appreciate the sarcastic comments by the manager as well as other staff members while trimming Theo's tail. I asked if his tail was matted as well, the reply was yes and the reason for not shaving it down was because it wasn't matted to the skin. Okay but you leave it matted? I'm just still in shock. I never write reviews but I just could not sit back and say nothing about this terrible experience. read more
